  1. Give me another day to finish configuring, and mySWRPG will have a forum for anyone interested.
  2. And then, after that “power up and positive makeover,” these two, the only two examples Luke had of Jedi, when faced with failure, went into hiding and lives as curmudgeons. Luke did exactly as he was taught to do. Word.
  3. And...one of the group followed the Governor back to the great tree in Kachirho after he injured himself on a toy (which needed to happen, of course), got him doped up by the doctors...and ended up tossing him out the window of the infirmary about 30 stories up. Another poisoned the top-ranking Imperial officer with an agonizing paralytic. Then they had a Life Day celebration with Wookiee kids who gave them stuffed banthas. 🤣
  4. I think they left themselves an out with the line that the Darksaber can cut through anything except “pure” beskar. Morgan Elsbeth used the same qualifier about the spear. Bo-Katan and company didn’t seem quite as ready to just jump out and tank in the Gozanti’s hallway as Din. Boba’s helmet has the signature dent. Even Din’s original armor was pretty battered. So perhaps most Mandalorian armor is made of a beskar alloy that’s tough stuff, but not as (to borrow a phrase oft-used in various X-Men comics) nigh-invulnerable as pure beskar. That doesn’t solve Din being pretty untouchable, but it allows for the differences that we’ve seen in the effectiveness of different Mandalorian armor.
  5. Once I clock out from work (and can switch over to personal computer from work computer), I can look at adding a forum or resources page to mySWRPG.com.
  6. It’s one of my favorite moments from the pilot. It’s up there with Coulson dramatically stepping out of shadow and saying, “Sorry, it was really dark over in that corner.”
  7. Maybe. Probably just for ease of movement while on his back. A common practice in TV/film. For example, Tom Baker had scarves of several different lengths on Doctor Who, each used for different scene types. The longest was, as I recall, for fairly static scenes, a shorter for indoor scenes with walking, and the shortest for walking/running outdoors.
  8. So...if one reads the book (written by humans) whose accuracy is being questioned, it will tell you that the account is accurate?
  9. Jon Favreau confirmed on Good Morning America this morning that The Book of Boba Fett is a separate show, that will premiere in December 2021, with Mandalorian season 3 premiering after, and that the Investor Day release date for season 3 was a misdirect. Just as they held back into on Grogu for season 1, they held back the Book of Boba Fett information to keep it a surprise.
  10. Yep, that’s exactly the path I’ve taken in the GG6 port, tweaking a few of the numbers to show that the Acclamator as an “Imperial Transport” is a retrofit of old ships to suit the Empire’s needs in that respect. They cost a little less because they’re “used,” went more generic with the support gear they’ve got aboard, and bumped the troop capacity down. I still can’t believe I didn’t think of looking at it.
  11. Given who said the original version of the line, I can only say: SITH!!
  12. Sweet. Hadn't thought of dipping back to Clone Wars to check, but that actually fits with the info about the Victory as it's written in the Galaxy Guide. If it was a snake, it woulda bit me. Thanks!
  13. Resuming work on the port of the Minos Cluster sections of the WEG Galaxy Guide 6: Tramp Freighers book, and I'm stumped on what ship a particular bit of text and stats is referring to. So, I wonder if anyone else might know of one, or if I'll need to go full homebrew for it. The text says that, "The last line ship is a well-armed transport ship capable of carrying over 15,000 troopers." The WEG stats are Imperial Transport Ship: Capital, capital ship gunnery 4D capital ship piloting 4D+2, capital ship shields 4D+1, maneuverability 1D, space 4, hull 5D+2. Weapons: 20 quad turbolaser batteries (fire control 4D, damage 5D) Seems pretty large for just a transport, but it is what it is. The rest of the section makes a big point of saying a Victory-class in heavy disrepair is the biggest ship they've got. My gut tells me it's going to need to be homebrew...a ship designed specifically to get lots of troops where they need to be as quickly as possible without the additional ground equipment like walkers, etc. But, if someone knows of an existing ship that I could stat out (or that's already statted) that I'm just overlooking, that'd be great.
  14. Guess Yoda and Obi-Wan were also (checks notes) “emasculated and near incompetent” in the OT. /shrug ETA: It’s fine if someone didn’t care for any particular movie(s), or the story choices made. That’s all personal taste, not inherently objective analysis of the content.
  15. Wife's question/observation: "Why'd Din go to the trouble of shaving his mustache between last episode and this one?"
  16. Alex from Star Wars Explained had a similar thought in his episode review. It makes a lot of sense.
  17. About 10 minutes or so into the episode, I turned to my son (who’d already watched it) and said that, given the episode’s title and the speculation on which Jedi might have heard Grogu’s call, it would be cool if Luke showed up and said, “I’m Luke Skywalker. I’m here to rescue you.” When that lone X-wing showed up, I then shouted, “Was I f*&<!|~ right?” Then later, when he walked onto the bridge, I was just saying, “Say the line, Bart!” 🤣
  18. Yep, Sabine just handed it over, saying basically, “This isn’t my kinda gig. You’re better suited for it, and I support you.” During that scene in this episode, I said out loud, “Yeah...you can just hand it over, because that’s how Bo-Katan got it in the first place. Sabine gave it to her.” Maybe this is a conscious decision to continue the theme of when to hold to and when to break strongly held belief systems?
  19. Nah. I just didn’t think it was all that great. Others did. (But then, I’m also not much of a Tom Cruise fan.) Hopefully, Rogue Squadron will have more of a Rogue Squadron vibe than a Top Gun vibe.
  20. I think I was required to relinquish my “80s teenager” credentials when one viewing of Top Gun was more than enough for me. 🤣
