  1. I'm not hugely worried about squadrons keeping up with the MC30's. If my squadrons can't keep up then it's likely that they'll leave the enemy behind as well. My small fighter screen is mainly to tie up any enemy squadrons so that I don't lose the squadron battle. I'd aim to deploy Yavaris opposite the enemy carrier and squadrons and use them to try and take the enemy squadrons out of the game until the MC30's (hopefully!) kill the carrier. I agree that B-wings are a bigger threat but without the X-wings Jan will die and the B-wings will then get easily tied up. Other possibilities could be switching in another YT2400, A-wings or Wedge/Dutch instead.
  2. True - I was thinking that the MC30's get close and might get pounded but the way I setup will probably mean you are right. My experience so far was losing both neb's to an ISD and VSD but barely a scratch on the MC30's.
  3. Move the TRC from the AF to a CR90? The AF probably needs to keep it's evade more than the CR90's who have redundant evades so don't mind using one for TRC. It also spreads damage and costs out better among your ships. Potentially also drop the gunnery team for TRC on the other CR90 on the basis that most opponents won't want to let 2 ships in the same arc of the AF meaning that it could be wasted points.
  4. Hi all I love Foresight and Admonition so I'm trying to build a suitable list to bring to a store championship (probably 12-20 players). Given that I'm rather lacking in experience (2 games @ 400 points) any advice is appreciated. Depending on the enemy my rough plan (for example for ISD/VSD's) would be for Salvation and Yavaris to set up almost head on to the main enemy threats and be the focus of attention. Each of them are a reasonably significant threat, but also squishy, so should draw attention while the MC30's seem far off and not a threat. The MC30's probably would take left and right flanks at high speed arriving at the rear/sides of their target(s) about turn 3 which would hopefully also be when the enemy is fully engaged with the Neb's. Yavaris would support a defensive squadron game trying to position for a 3 squadron alpha strike (with a token). My concerns are am I trying to fit too many archetypes into 1 list. Would I be better replacing the Neb's with an AFMk2B as a dedicated carrier with more squadrons, or with 2 x TRC90's? It worked well against a similarly inexperienced player (with Dutch, Wedge, Han and a B-wing as squadrons). Then I played using Truthiness's B-wing list and failed miserably against an experienced player. However it taught me many lessons such as take Jan but protect her with more than just Wedge!
