I'd like to see Thrawn, but I believe he really should be an aggressive card. In every engagement he's involved in he learns how to bypass they enemy's defenses and basically deals a no-win situation.

If I were to build a Thrawn card it would be worth a full 40 points.

"Once per round when a friendly ship reveals it's command dial, it may choose to discard it without resolving it, if  it does, during one  of it's attacks targeting a ship, it may choose a number of the defending ships defense tokens up to it's command value. Defense tokens chosen this way cannot be spent or discarded during that attack."

I feel like this fully captures what Thrawn was about, breaking through enemy defenses. For an ISD, absolutely devastating, but at a very high build cost, for medium ships, VSD, Interdictor, it makes them more fearsome, and for small ships provides perhaps a means to deal with enemy floatillas, or gives them just enough punch to be relevant, imagine an arquiten being able to disable both evades on an mc30 once per round.

Probably too OP, but that's what Thrawn was... OP....

Throw in a neb and some gr75s and bombers, and the liberty can pull mad 90° swings while fighters and the neb soften shields and ships...

1,250 can be squishy at times in 6X3 but it's still totally doable (It's not that much effort, about 4 hours and it was done).  I'm looking forward to some more CC matches though for the big-awe factor.  Seeing how a 4 player or 3 player 750 pt list will expand the look of what's on the table.
We've got an all-out assault going on next week that I'm really looking forward too.  And, while we're not going to be fielding 37 ISD (seriously... 2, there are 2 ISD in 3 fleets.  I own more ISD than that!), there are some 4 VSD, 2 ISD, 1 interdictor, 3 Gozanti, 2 Raiders, and 2 GSD and 19 fighters for the Imps so far, and we're getting ready for another 120 points to be thrown into the mix somehow.   But the Rebel fleet is starting to at least approach movie-esque if I do say so myself: 1 MC80 command ship, 1 MC80 assault ship, 1 Liberty, 2 Peltas, 1 Rebel Assault frigate Mk.I, 1 Rebel Assault frigate Mk.II, 1 MC30, 5 Cr90, 6 GR-75, and 34 squadrons (a third of which are X-wings, with the Falcon in the lead and Hera with Phoenix squadron A wings as reinforcements).

I honestly hope Jakku ends up being even bigger. If the Empire falls because of the defeat at Jakku I want to see this appocolyptic almost mythical battle on the scale of the battle of Coruscant. Im talking 100 star destroyers minimum.

Wouldnt that imply more Imperials as well? For instance we know there were interdictors present.

and we don't know what else was present but not visible, so Endor is basically an all-out-assault from a whole small village

Thanks, the rebels are supposedly completely inaccurate, because they didn't have enough models to show all the fleet at the same time, supposedly it was about 3x as big...

But the imps was an easy count lol

Totaling what I counted and estimating the SSD value, Endor was a 5000 point game at MINIMUM. lol

So I did a bunch of freeze frames on the blue ray version of Return of the Jedi and this was the count I came up with....

    2x xwing squad
    2x awing squad
    1x ywing squad
    1x bwing squad
    1x Millennium falcon

    5x mc80
    1x Liberty
    2x nebulon-b
    1x cr-90
    4x escort ships

    Vs.

    6x fighter squad
    5x interceptor squad
    37x ISD
    1x SSD

Well, thanks to 'Rogue One', we've now got at least one 'on film' battle that is basically Armada-scale.  CC-style, perhaps, given the third Star Destroyer.  But about 500 pts should do it.
And it seems like 'Rebels' might be putting together one, later this season, too.  Still on the larger side - IIRC, it looks like 4 or so ISDs with an Interdictor and various cruisers, but...within the realm of possibility for the game (unlike Endor, which is just...nope)

im both kinda glad and laughing at this.
Glad because BOTH my friend and i did the same **** thing so i dont feel as dumb knowing im not the only one, laughing because eventually i found the blip about what that number means many games later on my own.
That number is victory points, not squad points. If you destroy a station in Station Assault, you get a victory token thats worth 40pts. If you spend an accuracy in Intel Scan you get a victory token worth 10pts. These add to your total victory score at the end in addition to kill points.
Once we noticed that it completely changed our opinions on....what HALF of the objectives? lol

Well you started your statement with "maybe the way to fix flotillas is", so that's where I got the impression, cause I don't think those are broken.

Also I don't think that's really an accurate assessment on squadrons. I mean sure, 134 points in squads against a single ISD, they come out looking way more powerful, but each fleet is a summary of all it's parts. 134 points of squads vs,  say,  an  Anti squad raider, JF gozanti and say 60points of fighters as a screen, and you can tear squads up if you know what you're doing.

Squads are fairly balanced at this point, so long as you pay attention, their difficulty scales based on how prepared you are to face them. People who hate squadron play and don't field/activate squads often get tore up by them. People who dedicate points to either a screen or bombers tend to do alright against them. Heck, my top fleet right now is only 4 advanceds and a jumpmaster, but with my jamming fields and fire support from the gozantis, it's enough to tie up most enemies long enough to kill em.  under most circumstances anyways.

EZ Peasy.  You Run your Home One straight in his front arc flanked by both AF.  Ensure you adjust your movement with the MC80 to double arc the ISD frontally.  4 ram on top of three ships firing at the ISD = Dead ISD in two turns.
    Zero Dilemna.

Only once per attack, the RRG is very explicit about this:
    • A “while” effect can be resolved during the specified event and cannot occur again during that instance of the event.
i.e. a "while attacking" effect cannot occur again during that attack.
