  1. While adding the page for the starter weapon Harvester Scythe of the new Soul Reaper class at http://wiki.descent-community.org/Harvester_Scythe I stumbled over the fact that this is the first occurrence of a weapon having 3 traits.
  2. Take a look at the pages 26/27 and 85 for examples of the CRRG at http://crrg.descent-community.org Regarding your second question: You can't arbitrarily interrupt your movement. You may only expand for a valid interruption reason. Using your second action as movement is a valid interrupt reason.

    Yeah the wrong character in Ardus Ix'Erebus was annoying me for a while as well. I just run a site-wide string-replace "Ardus Ix’Erebus" -> "Ardus Ix'Erebus" I hope this is the last i hear from this... Regarding Dispossessed. I think both exist right now. I will take a look to clean this up. I guess it's more an issue of inconsistency that some places are still use "Dispossessed" instead of "The Dispossessed". (This is the part about the wiki is not done regarding Monsters/Lieutenants)

    Well it is essentially a fork of the wikia wiki to my own server with less overhead. It still isn't finished yet (missing Overlord-Cards, Monsters and Lieutenants mostly). I kind of got side-tracked by the fact that i had to look after a baby for the past year ^^" But with him getting older i find more time again to work on this

  7. I'm usually the overlord. I have a seat at the head of the table. On the table i keep my Plotcards, Monstercards, Overlordcards and discardpile. I have my own set of cice. I have two additional chairs left and right slightly behind me with all the boxes where all not (yet) used material is. My players are at the side of the table and have their normal material: Herosheet, inventory, skills, all tokens for their specific class and hero (fatigue, health, etc.) 2 players together have a set of dice (each side of the table) On the other head of the table there's a box with the leftover hero material.

    Well IMO if you go that (house rule) route, then you can remove the requirement for movement from trading altogether. The movement action is the "cost" of trading.

  11. Well then i guess it comes down the the interpretation of "can not suffer damage in excess of your health". Similar to the linked uFAQ regarding stamina, that the tokens stay there even if your maximum health changed. You still can suffer as long as you have the armor/skill equipped. The way we play it, you don't loose a HP when you remove the Armor. It just reduces the maximum you can have. Ok, if you remove it when you are at max health then you loose one... It makes sense in the system where you pile damage on your sheet. The armor increases the amount of damage you can endure.
  12. My group and I still houserule/handle our health as in Descent 1e where you start with the number of health as hearts on your sheet and take hearts away when you get damaged. You get KO'd when you're at 0 hearts on your sheet. From this point of view it makes more sense. When you get revived you get a number of health, no matter what your maximum health is. Regarding RAW: For me the question is: do KO'd heroes even get to perform the equip phase?
  13. Yeah seems to be 16mm link Some I've measured are down to 15.6 (greeen), but the 6 black ones i have all seems to be consistently 16mm.
  14. A kickstarter may not be a bad idea. However what i've heard from other people starting one, you want to be pretty far with what you want to do before you make it public. And be very sure how much you're going to spend on actually producing the product, otherwise you might end up paying more then what you get. (That' being said, i certainly would back such a kickstarter :D) I added a photo of my act 2 monster stack (filename act2_monsters_height.jpg). Again, slightly squeezed and used to be a lot higher when the sleeves were new.
  15. Just recounted the cards. 67 as well. The image of the act 1 stack shows a height of 36mm. Not sure where you got the 33 mm from As mentioned before, IMO the time how long the cards have been sleeved makes a huge difference how think a stack becomes.
  16. Yep, and these are cards which has been sleeved quite a while ago. I remember when it was freshly sleeved, the stack was a lot higher. I guess taking a factor of 2 against the unsleeved cards might be safe. Do you also need measurements of other stacks? For me the monsters act1/2 stacks always were almost too big to fit into my current storage solution.

  19. This is shown if you are not using https. Not really a problem. The "real" problem is, that if you try to use https, the alternate names for the certificate don't match the URL. Do you have the ability to upload your own certificates?

  21. Hi everyone Almost as if Sadgit had planned it, the release of the excellent CRRG was two days before my planned release of a new Descent Wiki. So here it is at http://wiki.descent-community.org Why a new Wiki? We already have one. I'm right now with 1500 edit gap to the next the most active committer on the already existing descent wiki at wikia. I wrote lots of templates to make the pages look uniform and changed almost all of the pages. However wikia doesn't allow access to the site-wide css and doesn't allow changes on the skin-css. This limits severely what i can do. Since i'm basically the only one actively working on it i could as well just move to my own wiki. Wikia is overloaded with advertisement. 3/4 of the page is advertisement. Adblock fixes parts of that but it still is unbearable. My main problem is that wikias focus is on the adverts and not on the content. I want to have a wiki without any adverts. Running different website testing software, a given descent-community wiki site is consistently about 1/4 the size of a comparable wikia site. (~800KB~1MB vs. 3.5MB~5MB depending on advertisement) The mobile skin of wikia is broken. Like... really unfixable broken. My goal is to be able to visit the wiki with my mobile phone to look something up fast without the page being broken. Removal of the visual editor. It just doesn't work. Whichever page is edited with the visual editor contains afterwards broken code and has to be fixed by hand. Better not enable it at all than have to cope with this mess. TLDR; No advertisement Working MobileSkin Access to backend (css, extensions, layout) Current State The descent-community wiki is a fork of the wikia wiki (content wise). It uses MediaWiki 1.27.1 (update to 1.28.0 is in the pipeline) New Look-and-Feel (skin, layout, etc.) is complete Most of the cleanup of the conversion-damage is done (i keep finding small stuff...) Next Steps Currently doing cleanup on stuff which wasn't possible on the wikia (e.g. proper gallery) Add support to the Card Template for Monsters and Lieutenants Add a template for Heroes Convert all the missing pages which aren't using the templates yet (mostly plot-cards, i could use some help on that) Convert the existing templates to use classes instead of inline-css (this allows the templates to look better on mobile since i can have skin specific classes) An updated list can be found here: http://wiki.descent-community.org/Todo BR Matthias

  23. Regarding the release interval: I'm not sure it really matters how often the CRRG is updated. IMO what matter more is that the release cycle is known. Since you are the only one working on it, just pick an interval and people will happily look forward to the next release
  24. Heya Yes when i started working on the wiki the initial motivation was to have on each page an FAQ section which shows the uFAQs with references and links. I quickly realised i had to rewrite all templates to get this working. Template(s) is/are updated for: * Cards (Skills, Items, Relics, Familiars, Servants, Tainted, Overlord, Plot) * Heroes Not done yet: * Monsters * Lieutenants / Agents * Quests I could really use help to add the FAQ/UFAQ/OFAQ templates. (I haven't really started adding them actually...)
