Nah, but IA was exciting to a lot of us, and there are a lot of things that people think should be added.
 
Star Wars is big, and they never could've added everything people wanted, of course (but I want my Hohass Ekwesh, gosh darnit).
 
But it' hard to fault people for wanting pretty iconic stuff like Yoda, scout trooper snipers, tauntauns, etc.  The addition of stuff late in the cycle like Sentry droids, BT-1 and 0-0-0, and freakin loth cats kinda showed that this game could go to some pretty wild places- not only making the iconic stuff seem like a shoe in, but giving hope to those of us who wanted more of the weird, too.

You are most likely right.  But still for those of us that have been long time FFG fans, it leaves a bitter taste in our mouths.  Look at the "Upcoming" page as it currently stands.  It's just X-Wing and Legion products mixed in with a Few LCG card packs and a handful of RPG books..  The only "New" product on the page right now is  the "Fallout Shelter" game which is a "small" game of sorts.   Where is the next Journey to Middle Earth Expansion?  Where is the next Arkham Horror 3e expansion?  Where is the Outer Rim expansion?  Where are the new product lines like the next board game set in Terrinoth or the Android universe (and yes, I know there have been "rumors')?  Does FFG even want to be a board game company anymore, or is it trying to become just a LCG and Star Wars miniatures game company?
Maybe FFG is just in a "between release" slump right now.  But who knows.  I do know that in years prior, there would be a lot more things to look forward to in the months ahead from FFG than what we have currently.   On the flip side, my game budget has shrinked dramatically as there is less stuff to buy these days.

Many wanted Ewoks, I wanted a Rogue One type campaign for the 2nd DS plans. We were all disappointed.
New Raid on the App is at least something. A new, longer, campaign on the App would be better.

Nice to know the trolls are alive and well.
1. No game is dead while people play it
2. Principally, its a story driven, dungeon crawling experience in the SW universe. This is something Legion can never give, which is just yet another miniatures tabletop war game (I've played too many of them already).
3. It's still great fun.

The business reasons are to sell more Legion stuff instead of cheaper IA versions. There is no other reason.

So it's probably this , but am i the only one that wasnt hyped or excited with this game at all ?
maybe cause of the characters or gameplay wise, or probably cause of the other marvel card game, but having this game coming or not brings nothing for me.. 
i think they should have released this game a few years ago when marvel movies were going great .

Oh my... and it could have been avoided by writing better rules. In fact, I've never had so many problems and I played the majority of scenarios released. I think they are trying to release them too quickly now with all those standalones and Return to... packs and they don't do enough testing. Like with the setup of the Witching Hour..

I'm actually sad it's not a second edition. This game is in dire need of second edition.

FFG just had an AMA (Ask Me Anything) with the head of studio and confirmed that they will release two different kind of expansions:
- Figure packs (like the one just released)
- Big box expansions with lots of content

More info will be coming early 2020.

I like the figure packs and hoping they add more heroes that way, and that they use big boxes to introduce more terrain and new mechanics.

Partially Hasbro but the board game question seems unlikely because Outer Rim and Rebellion exists.
More likely thrown under the bus to sell Legion rubbish.
Expect all remaining IA stock prices to go through the roof.

This, Netrunner and Battlestar all lost this year. I'm getting a bit disillusioned with them at the moment.....
....it'll probably pass.

I just want to echo the other players who would love more life for the Imperial Assault skirmish and campaign scene. There's so much content space to explore, and the designers for skirmish were really starting to address some of the meta issues with Hunter dominance. The Spectre Cell swing was too far away, but the toolbox of high health figures, Doubt to stop focus power-ups, hand-attacks such as Hostile Negotiations, and Thrawn as an Imperial mainstay was really phenomenally well thought out. I would return to this game so hard if it had regular content; as it is, I've started buying into Malifaux instead of being known as the guy who promoted IA at my LGS.

I'm really a big fan of Imperial Assualt. Is there any long term plan of what's happening there?

I know that currently the official stance is that you're not currently working on it, but I urge you to reconsider. It's such a fantastic game, and this is set to be a big year for Star Wars- ride that wave with them! 
 
That being said, since nothing officially is in the pipeline, I assume you could probably answer this:
 

I love Imperial Assault and was saddened when it was announced that no more physical content was planned. As a skirmish player, the reasonings for that didn’t make sense. What would it take for you to make new IA product? Even some sporadic blister packs could help keep the community alive. 

What is the future of Descent ...
Will FFG ever produce the missing 12 Heroes from D1e for D2e?
Will there be any further development for D2e (*** NOT *** for the app, but physical content)?
Will there be a D3e?
EDIT: Why is the D2e Quest Vault and its various issues, bugs, etc. completely ignored?  It started as BETA about 5+ years ago, and continues in that state today.  There would be far more community development for the game if the software simply worked.  There is already an extensive bug report thread for the vault, so all it takes is someone at FFG to pay attention.  If you don't want to maintain it anymore, would you be willing to provide access to the code, so that the community could host it and maintain it?

Is there new products and content coming for Star Wars: Imperial Assault?  I would love to see more content for this game and I expect the entire community would too.  On a whole what we have so far for this game is brilliant across the myriad game modes and there's an incredible wealth of potential content in the Star Wars universe.  These amazing untapped possibilities cause me a equal amount of frustration because my favorite competitive game is dying on the vine from a drought of new product and an overabundance of silence.  Why is there so little support and communication around this product line?  Is it not profitable enough?  Are all of the other products filling up the production pipeline?  Is there some legal or licensing issues around the game?  Are you expecting skirmish players to jump to Legion or other FFG products?

What is the forecast for Lord of the Rings: Journeys in Middle Earth? Can we expect a comparable frequency of new content to that of Mansions of Madness 2e?

The potential to follow(ish) in the footsteps of the LCG! I imagine/hope-for a multi-expansion campaign encompassing the  Hobbit and he Lord of the Rings.

You know the "Lord of the Rings" refers to Sauron, not Frodo, right?

I'm disappointed in the Villains of Eriador expansion to be honest.  It's not a lot of money and I'll be getting it... but a small handful of trinkets and titles and 3 purely cosmetic miniature replacements isn't much.  A new hero would be nice.

The Star Wars app has been very popular, and it is 4 vs AI, no different than a 4 player AH or LOTR game. Descent hasn't had a physical expansion in 2 years, yet they just released ANOTHER app campaign.  The popularity of the app based platforms is proof that the co-op format is viable. The popularity of the IA app specifically means that players don't JUST want to play as the empire. There are a contingent of players that do, for sure, but there is no arguing that there is also a very large group of players that would be just fine playing against AI.
I really, really hope we see it. I love the LOTR LCG but got into it late, so tracking down product became such a chore I only really played through the first few cycles. I've also played the AH Game and loved the model, but I am not in love with that universe so I don't follow the cycle pack. HoT is more up my alley with traditional fantasy... but Star Wars is my true love.
