Great cards, will be scary when they are deployed.
There is one give instead of choose in the queen's movement ability. Also it maybe shouldn't cost s 12-point figure's whole activation to get a chance for a facehugger.
The egg can interact based on the card and is counted for control (can be important if you play skirmish with these)
The facehugger has low chance to defeat a hero especially because there won't be many of the map unless deployed by mission. Maybe they should also be able to impregnate stunned targets, which would defeat them and spawn the stalker in their space, but only at the end of the next round, so the heroes remove/defeat it.
 

So I’ve had the coreset for 2 weekends now.  Playing the app campaign, think I’m on to mission 4.  So much fun.  I also got to play a best of 3 starter skirmish yesterday.  That was amazing fun.  After the app and after this time of troubles.  I hope to get a multi player campaign.  So far I’m totally obsessed.
some expansions arrived Friday, more are in transit.  It’s gonna feel a little overwhelming in product.  Just the way I like it.  I have 10 JiME plus a troll to paint before I can start painting these minis but I’m looking forward to that too.

As I've posted before: hopefully the next owner is interested in running a game company, and not just making money off flipping a game company.

I jut got a copy of Shards of Arathalon by Dungeons & Dragons Inc. It was missing the 3 kobold warriors. When I complained they sent me 6 orcs and 3 duregar. When I complained again they sent me the 3 kobolds. Honestly, the postage and time cost more than the plastic to them. My guess is, FFG (or whoever's in charge) wants to lay off 90% of the customer service employees. Or cut their hours if it's handled by folks who wear many hats.

I play the games of over a dozen companies.  Parts replacement is a huge part of customer service for all of them and honestly, the ones worth buying from have an incredibly low burden of proof.  Most of the time if they're asking for a picture, its because they want to make sure they understand the part you're describing and will send you far more than you asked for to make sure you get what you need.  Any abuses in the system are paltry to what's gained by having a good relationship with your customers and retailers.  It's all pretty baffling, particularly at a time in which distribution is failing the industry.

I am in real in trouble.  I’ve bought one box of everything since day one.  I’ve bought them from many different online retailers.  So the figures I don’t need yet have never been opened.   I’ve been lucky so far and never had a missing part.  But I guess when I do find a problem, I’m screwed.

Yes, Asmodee's new returns policy has instantly destroyed the goodwill FFG established with us loyal fans thanks to their wonderful customer service.
It seems incredibly foolish and short-sighted to completely abandon the replacement parts program, instead of simply reforming it to curtail abuse.
I mean, most of the time FFG didn't even require me to include my receipt or a photo of the Proof of Purchase token. A photo of the damaged part, or the other components without the missing one, was enough. The only time customer service ever asked for my receipt was late 2019 for the last replacement request that I submitted. I assume it was because Asmodee announced internally that they were discontinuing the replacement parts policy and instructed customer service to cut back on fulfillment of replacement requests.
Anyway, my point above was that Asmodee could have tightened up the requirements for proof of purchase and I imagine that would've cut down on abuse.
Returning to my anecdote: I wonder if Asmodee fired the customer service staff before the returns policy change was announced. Because my last request wasn't fulfilled, despite a personalized notation on my Request page that said it was approved and the status was changed to Processing. That was in December and it was never updated. I didn't receive responses from custom service to my emails inquiring about it either.
There was the announcement last month about FFG laying off entire departments, so it's possible customer service was a casualty of those cuts. That's a real shame because FFG provided the highest customer satisfaction of any company that I've dealt with. And normally I hate all corporations on general principle, so it's unusual for me to sing any company's praises. FFG was exceptional.

But...but... Asmodee said it would be "a better experience". They wouldn't lie would they?!!

Just bought imperial royal guards. Extra top, no bottom for one of them. Gotta go back to the game store. Get the, to order a new one. This will be fun and not at all annoying. It certifiably won't mean I cannot get them on the table for who knows how long. Certainly not a bitter customer who hates the new policy.

I think we're going to need some kind of source on that one, since it doesn't ring true to me.  Anecdotally, I know tonnes of people here locally who played IA (although very few played skirmish) and I know exactly 0 who have played legion.  More broadly, IA is still the #37 rated game on BGG despite being released in 2014.  People have been buying it.
Now if you're just saying that releasing a new game will sell better than releasing more figures for an old one, I could get on board there.  Couple that with the nebulous "business reasons" posted above in this thread and I can understand why they've switched over, even if I don't personally like the decision (and even if I really don't like the way they went about doing it)

Yeah, they shut down the RPG and FFI completely but also cut lose a lot from other departments as well including the sales support staff. If they aren't going to do physical products or even reprints, don't expect anything new digitally. I wouldn't be surprise if they shut down Mansions of Madness as well. I doubt anything marginally successful will continue, only the highly profitable products. The holding company is going to want really good numbers so they can sell it off at a profit, so only the great sellers. Even if they do shut down Mansions, they did put out a good amount of content for that game. Of course more scenarios is great for the gamer but I don't think they make any real money on those apps. The best we can hope for is all of this is sold off quickly to someone who actually wants to run a gaming company and actually wants to make and sell games.

Super excited here too. My family and I have played both quests twice so far (we also spend a lot of time on Descent RTL, Mansions of Madness, Gloomhaven, et al). When I texted them the expansion announcement last week they were totally thrilled. I pre-ordered this game with the player mats + the game mat, and since day one everybody knows that once Gandalf is released, nobody is allowed to play him but me. Lol. 

I saw somewhere a retailer was claiming the box expansion will have 5 heroes, including Gandalf and Arwen.
No idea if it's legit, but super excited.

I’m excited; I love this game, so a chunky expansion will be cool.  I’m hoping for forest critters or giant spiders.

I bought the Core set about 4 months before it was announced that there was no new content. I had already bought a few ally and villain packs in prep for skirmish. Afterwards I felt a bit deflated, but then started playing a few campaign scenarios.
 
This has prompted me to buy most of wave 1 figures (barring Gen Weiss and Reb Saboteurs, which I will either use Reb Troopers or the token for Weiss) plus R2 and C-3PO.
I am going to try and get Twin Shadows next and the Boba Fett figure. If it becomes unavailable after that, then fine, but otherwise I will still be trawling for the other sets, as I have a list in my head of the order in which I will collect them. Still a great game,  and worth getting into in my opinion, even if you can’t collect all the campaign box sets.

I want to see them develop the original Star Wars: The Card Game from GenCon 2010 (I think it was 2010). It was a co-op game that I thought looked very interesting, but the community wanted to be able to play Dark Side, so it got scrapped.

Agreed. I've played Destiny a few times. It's simplistic and quite boring. I prefer the LCG. I also love Arhkam Horror and LOTR LCG, A Star Wars game based on the same model would be a sure buy.
