  1. I just figured since the Marauder has plenty of DMG buffs already it could work and with 1 strain per attack I could still be rolling 4 dice.
  2. So I'm joining another group's campaign and decided to go as a Marauder. I'm getting 80 extra exp (90 for starting obligations) so I figure I can just wait for that sweet sweet dedication to increase to Brawn 4. Also I have 3 points put into melee, 2 from starting skills, and I get 4 dice on an attack thanks to frenzied attack so I was just wondering on people's thoughts on the 3 3 3 3 2 2 build. IOW all 120 exp goes towards raising 4 stats to 3, as a human of course as compared to the 4, 3 build (one stat to 4 and another to 3)
  3. Force heal states "only lightsiders may use this" my question is simple does that mean you have to be an actual lightsider (morality 70+) or just not a darksider (morality 30-69) We've had arguments about the whole black and white thing in which you're either one or the other not in between. Thanks in advance
  4. So my group has had this discussion before the conflict system kinda sucks. My GM agreed so I suggested we add away to get rid of already existing conflict, but he said that'd be too easy conflict is supposed to be a thing hard to avoid. Another said "even a jedi gets conflict it's whether or not he can overcome it" fair enough but "overcoming" it based on how you rolled sound, for lack of better words, stupid. We tried one more way in which we all started out at 5 conflict and based on our actions it would decrease, increase or, stay the same, but the GM found it too tedious to incorporate all of that into his scenarios. SOOO heres my idea. Conflict stays as normal, BUT instead of your actions removing conflict they add to your dice roll. That way your character still retains the conflict, but gets a morale boost for the actions he did making the conflict easier to overcome. Still having the slight RNG effect, but not as bad Thoughts...?
  5. So this came up recently; resist disarm lets you prevent you from being... well disarmed/weapon destroyed or broken however I received the critical injury from an attack sudden jolt which made me drop my weapon. Does resist disarm prevent this?
  6. Yea we were counting down, but one of the players argued that counting from 0 to 13 is TECHNICALLY 14 when you count the 0 which exceeds 13 so they sided with him I knew I wasn't misinterpreting it
  7. So I might just be overthinking this, but in the rules it says "when player exceed his would/strain threshold..." what exactly do they mean? ie I have a a threshold of 12 and go to 0 did i exceed it or do I have to go in the negatives to exceed it? Thank you in advance
  8. Lol my GM just introduced an inquisitor with 5 brawn and madilorian armor (soak 2 or 3 i think) and reflect 4 **** i wish we had some breach weapons, but yea breach definitely not OP if anything it"s completely fair what with the fact that you are weaker in the force to start
  9. Two reasons actually. 1) A lightsaber can be modified quite easily by it's wielder. Making it better then a blaster pistol fairly quickly. This is unlike a training saber. 2) Theres potential to build it up to it's full power later. Of course, everyone getting lightsabers and what not, a whole separate issue that is dependant on campaign that is largely irrlivant. The GM never stated the circumstance of his campaign so anything beyond those facts presented. Personally, if your playing a force senstive, ,you have a big target on your back, glowstick or not. Best kind of campaign being wanted, I should know, my character has 20k credit bounty to his name XD Im gonna have to agree with Bunny here a breachless lightsaber even if it was upgraded to a base of 10 would still be the equivalent to a sub par heavy blaster rifle as you would have to be engaged so a breachless normal lightsaber mine as well be a training lightsaber that can crit and deal wound dmg
  10. Unless ofc those attacks were barely cracking his soak anyways I'd say it's really only useful against nemesis and maybe rivals against minions its almost negligible and besides you need every adv you can get over a nemesis, especially an inquisitor And as per say my original question I assume with two-weapon fighting it's still only applied once unless this has been answered already in the two weapon fighting thread
  11. My question is simple Does the career specialization class Aggressor's crippling blow ability stack? ie I hit them once they suffer a strain when they move if I hit them again do they now suffer 2 strain to move? It may be blatantly obvious, but I just wanna make sure Thanks
  12. Sounds like to me that you're being childish and throwing a temper tantrum because the group doesn't want to play the way you want them to. You have posted numerous times on how to exploit the rules to powergame and min/max. To me that's cheating since you are taking the Rules As Intended to make it into something that barely resembles the spirit of the game. If you were at my table and doing these disruptions I would point out that you are cheating the group with your exploiting of the system and that you are acting like a child when things aren't going your way. Yes, I would call you out in front of the whole group to respond to your disrespect and inhospitality towards the group. If you didn't toe the group ground rules after the first warning then I would tell you to pack your stuff and get out of my house. If someone asked me about your behaviour at my table I would tell them the truth and there goes any chance of you ever getting a group again locally. Start being an adult and conform with the group. If you don't then it's your duty to find a different group that fits your playstyle. Suck it up like an adult or move on. I wasn't rude to you until you began to be rude to me. My posts in this thread bear this fact out. You were looking for people to pat you on the back and give you a cookie for your disruptive behavior. When you didn't get it you lashed at everyone that gave you advice on how to handle the situation. You are the one that began with the insults and acting like a child. I just merely called you out on it and you proved it with this latest post. This is the internet you have no right to assume I'm being hostile towards anyone unless you can somehow decipher tone of voice and body language from my words alone. I wasnt to anyone else, but the moment you threw an insult yes I became hostile to you an only you for very good reasons IMO I think passive aggressively calling me childish in response to me responding to someone who wasn't you counts as throwing the 1st punch, but fine remain on your high horse it suits you better. I'll just be the bigger person; you're right I'm wrong the problem has already been resolved and I dont need anymore of your "suggestions/comments" NOW SUCK IT UP AND LEAVE ME ALONE. Thank you
  13. Yeah the reason they dont like it is because they want to be right so when I whip out my book they they say stop, I stop then after session I look it up *GASP* you were cheating the entire time w/o knowing **** if only I took 10 secs to look it up This usually applies to one player in particular so now I have to wait till afterwards and most of the time they ended up cheating w/o knowing. Though it does give my GM more incentive to look over some other rules for future sessions just in case so all in all we're pretty good now Sounds like to me that you're being childish and throwing a temper tantrum because the group doesn't want to play the way you want them to. You have posted numerous times on how to exploit the rules to powergame and min/max. If someone asked me about your behavior at my table I would tell them the truth and there goes any chance of you ever getting a group again locally. Clearly my words have been misinterpreted some where along the way First of all those "exploits" were jokes sorry if that wasn't obvious enough cuz ya know...internet, no talking, no tone of voice, blah blah blah and further more "cheating by exploiting the rules" is literally an oxymoron (being dishonest and disobeying the rules by completely following the rules; makes perfect sense) granted none of us do that, but how nice of you to assume that that's what I do solely based on my posts (assuming makes an ASS out of U... nope that's it I forget the rest) Second I've already stated that now I only break out the book if its a game changer or if they ask, if not I simply send a text afterwards stating what was wrong then its fixed next session Third Good to know that if I'm ever in your group to not get on you bad side, but for now MY GM the one I'M playing with is ok with how I'm doing the rules thing so ... yea that's it done and done I don't think cheating is ok, that is in no way what I said. What I said is that you resorting to cheating is not cool. Exploiting the rules because you know them better than the rest of the table is not ok. And it's also not cheating if they don't really know the rules, which is what you've indicated. But you've also indicated that they don't really care about knowing all the rules or even playing by them. Which is cool too. Once again I NEVER SAID I WAS EXPLOITING THE RULES, I only said what i said was because you said I should go along with the group, not caring about the rules (The GM DOES care about the rules if i didn't say that enough already) If you are breaking the rules, whether you know them or not, you are cheating, not intentionally, but cheating nonetheless which I can understand They care about the rules and so does the GM however if they make a mistake they expect the GM to catch it which he cant always do so the person with a book is there just in case. thankfully most incidents are fairly minor so now I just mention it afterwards via text Just in case no one caught it before I NEVER SAID I WAS EXPLOITING THE RULES Thanks for proving me right that you are childish and throwing a temper tantrum. The hostility you are directing at me for telling you to be an adult and conform with the group is astounding. You are lashing out like a 5 year old that had his toys taken away. As such, I will direct my attention elsewhere and have an adult conversation with the rest of the adults on the board. Excuse me if I don't just sit there and "suck up" you bashing on and insulting me. I'm not afraid to say what I mean unlike others who hide behind a passive aggressive nature. Its fine if some ppl dont agree with me I can accept that, but when they out right insult me (or passively w/o looking like the bad guy when they are) then well yes I will retort, kindly at 1st then hostile and non passive aggressive 2nd. And I still dont know why you responded I already said the matter was resolved... Word to the wise: don't punch someone in the face and not expect them to shove your face into a wall
  14. Self medicate increases the difficulty by 2, not by 1. "Self medicate" with mechanics (for droid PCs) has it's difficulty increased by 1. speaking of which I might be stupid or I just didnt see it, but would getting a stimpack out and using it be a maneuver since that would be managing gear and actions are usually skill checks, force powers, and abilites
