  1. I would swap it to an R2 Astromech for Ello Asty!
  2. That looks awesome and i will add it to the play testing today, if only K-Wings could take an EPT and there would be a real Rebel U-Boat, Deadeyed and everything lol The best part being able to slam away after the initial joust and then turn around for another joust is pretty awesome though. Will most likely depend on what and who I'm flying against I guess.
  3. Well at pilot skill 4 they will move after the Contracted Scouts, the true u-boats. However if moving first against aces at least I'm getting off the 2 proton torpedoes rather then none. Also with more chance of it being at range 3 with the chance to deal 2 crits off of the opening salvoes (1c from Torps, 1c from merc co pilot, hopefully 1c in the roll ) Will be play testing against imperial aces in the form of whisper, inquisitor and valen today so we'll see how it goes lol
  4. This is where you use focus.... You only need to have focus to allow the squad leader to fire thread tracers.... If it hits it gives the other 2 the target locks they need to fire off their protons and have focus in the one turn.
  5. So I played in my local store champs last weekend with 2 x wardens, TLT's, Tacticians alongside Ello Asty, R2D2, Autothrusters and VI. I was told by the guy who won playing Crackshot Swarm that I was a brave man for taking my list with current meta. So with that in mind I managed to think of doing something similar to the rebel U-Boat list. Guardian Squadron Pilot (25) Proton Torpedoes (4) XX-23 S-Thread Tracers (1) Extra Munitions (2) Mercenary Copilot (2) Guidance Chips (0) Guardian Squadron Pilot (25) Proton Torpedoes (4) Extra Munitions (2) Mercenary Copilot (2) Guidance Chips (0) Guardian Squadron Pilot (25) Proton Torpedoes (4) Extra Munitions (2) Mercenary Copilot (2) Guidance Chips (0) Total: 100 The basic idea is that once they're closing in on range they all focus, they then weather the opponents alpha strike, then the Squad Leader fires off its Thread Tracers giving the other 2 their first round proton shots with focus, chips, and at range 3 mercy co pilot and proton crits. Any thoughts? Decent list or poop list? Lol
  6. So I played at my local store champs yesterday and went with a list that I truly love to play, I had a great time as it was my first store champs. I managed to go 3-2 and place 4th over all. My list Warden Squadron Pilot (23) Twin Laser Turret (6) Tactician (2) Warden Squadron Pilot (23) Twin Laser Turret (6) Tactician (2) Ello Asty (30) Veteran Instincts (1) R2-D2 (4) Autothrusters (2) Total: 99 First Match vs 1 X contracted scout, 1 X Manaroo and Talonbane Cobra Win 137 to 62 Second match vs Chiraneau and Carnor Jax Win 200 to 0 Third match vs Crackshot tie swarm featuring omega squadron pilot w/Comms relay and juke Loss 200 to 0 Fourth match vs VI Gonking Dengar and 2 X BTLA ion y-wings Win 200 to 62 Top four and in 4th place vs Crackshot Tie Swarm Loss 100 to 22 Man, that Crackshot tie swarm was so tough, it was also the first time I had played against it. I think I played wrong against it as I couldn't figure out how to adapt to it. I slammed at the wrong times and got punished by all those shots and rerolls. Ello got hammed both times without being able to give anything in return. So, any advice ladies and gents? Looking back now I should've not slammed and tried just TLTing the crap out of one at a time, I dunno lol
  7. I urgently need your help people, Store Champs this weekend and am undecided between 2 lists. It is my areas for ever Store Champs in Nowra, Australia. I can tell you already, nobody is play triple toilets. The most common meta build currently is Palp/Aces or Imperial Aces. A few Dengar builds but mostly with a small mini swarm to go alongside him. The guy who has won the most games and is pretty much undefeated in competitive games is running triple Predator T-70's. "Zeb" Orrelios (18) Phantom (0) Ello Asty (30) Adaptability (0) R2-D2 (4) Autothrusters (2) "Chopper" (37) Fire-Control System (2) Autoblaster Turret (2) Dash Rendar (2) Hera Syndulla (1) Ion Projector (2) Ghost (0) Total: 100 or "Zeb" Orrelios (18) Autoblaster Turret (2) Saboteur (2) Phantom (0) Hera Syndulla (40) Accuracy Corrector (3) Autoblaster Turret (2) Navigator (3) Dash Rendar (2) Engine Upgrade (4) Ghost (0) Bandit Squadron Pilot (12) Bandit Squadron Pilot (12) Total: 100 I have had success with both against the only mate of mine available to play prior to the tourney. He plays Whisper/Inquisitor and Valen Let me know your thoughts please.
  8. The current meta in my area is Triple Aces in Imperials/Rebels, 2 x Large Ships in imperial or scum or mini swarms of loike 4-5 ships, I see what you're saying though, 2 ships vs 6-8 ships of swarm will be a tough match.
  9. So I've been playing with a few variates of lists with the VXC-100 and I really like this. Playing this in the local league the last month and another local stores tournament the other day. Roark is very nice to have with that PS 12 trickery. The way it normally plays out is the opponent guns for chopper and then realises chopper is shooting first. So then they go straight for the HWK. Thats when chopper comes in and blind sides the enemy with FCS and his 4-5 primaries, hopefully landing in R1 to get off his ABT too. When its all said and done and if they manage to destroy Chopper or I think it's neccasry to have another threat on the board to win, I can drop Hera at PS9 and Navigate my way to victory. So many people \have found it frustrating trying to pin Hera down, especially after she sees where everything is going almost before she moves. Has gone 1w-2l to 3xPredator T=70's 1w vs Dengar / Kath 1w vs Corran + B-Wings 1w vs Poe/Biggs/Sabine 1l vs Whispers 2xTAPS Roark Garnet (19) Ion Cannon Turret (5) Tactician (2) "Chopper" (37) Fire-Control System (2) Autoblaster Turret (2) "Zeb" Orrelios (1) Dash Rendar (2) Ion Projector (2) Ghost (0) Hera Syndulla (Attack Shuttle) (22) Veteran Instincts (1) Autoblaster Turret (2) Navigator (3) Phantom (0) Total: 100 The Other list I like the look of trying is Kanan Jarrus (38) Fire-Control System (2) Autoblaster Turret (2) Recon Specialist (3) Lando Calrissian (3) Experimental Interface (3) Ghost (0) "Chopper" (37) Fire-Control System (2) Autoblaster Turret (2) "Zeb" Orrelios (1) Dash Rendar (2) Engine Upgrade (4) Total: 99 Chopper jumps right in to the front limes to cause bumps and bruises while Kanan hangs back a bit and double focuses, then landos for hopeful extra focus/evades while reducing incoming fire for both ships, then no needing to target lock either because of fire controls. I have a 1 point initiative or I can use it to upgrade one of the upgrades for example, Kanans Autoblaster, into a dorsal or his Fire Controls into Reinforced Deflectors.
  10. Ezra Ellusive+Kanan looks nice balance of defence and mobility, but unless i dont evade it has no offence modification. But i like it. Originally I had Ezra + Elusive + Kyle Katarn + Targeting Computer + Dorsal Turret That way I could Elusive and take stress for pseudo focus next turn reveal green to focus target lock lol Im more of an offensive player then a defensive player so it suited me pretty well but others may prefer a stronger arc dodging build lol
  11. I usually sink 30 points into my Shuttle though. Ezra + Ellusive + Kyle Katarn + Targeting Computer + Dorsal Turret + Phantom Title
  12. Ellusive Ezra is my fabvourite. Ezra + Ellusive + Kyle Katarn or Kanan Jarrus. Then with Sabine I prefer PTL + Kanan.
  13. Im considering this now for the attack shuttle,, with Hera on board with Roark. "Chopper" (37) Advanced Sensors (3) Autoblaster Turret (2) Dash Rendar (2) "Zeb" Orrelios (1) Ghost (0) Sabine Wren (21) Push the Limit (3) Dorsal Turret (3) Kanan Jarrus (3) Phantom (0) Roark Garnet (19) Ion Cannon Turret (5) Hera Syndulla (1) Total: 100
  14. This list is the best 3 T-70 list I've seen. Won our recent tournament 6-0. Poe Dameron (31) Predator (3) R5-P9 (3) Integrated Astromech (0) "Blue Ace" (27) R2-D6 (1) Predator (3) Integrated Astromech (0) Red Squadron Veteran (26) Predator (3) BB-8 (2) Integrated Astromech (0) Total: 99
  15. Yeah my opponents all did that too. So I try to use the fact it only has to be within Range 3 of the ghost to my advantage. Chopper will die its just a matter of how long untill and has he done enough damage for you. Yeah, so. When you're opponent rolls attack dice but before modifying you make them re roll one and stress yourself ready to commit to your defense rolls and essentially free focus. Then next turn you perform green move get a focus from Kyle and if it's the right move do a target lock. Everybody knows target locks w/ focus is the bomb lol. Otherwise if you want to stay out of arc barrel roll over with your focus. Then rinse repeat. The other one I would like to try is rage. 2 turns of stress but each green move you'll get a focus anyway. But we'll see. Dash on this build is fantastic. For example I had 3 X T-70's Flying V formation at the ghost head on until Chopper did a 5 K-Turn INTO their R1. my opponent said something of the lines of "agh, you just landed on the asteroid. So no shooting" I laughed and said. I have Dash! They read card and had a surprised look. They freaked out scatter and tried to boost out. But Poe bumped out of arc so no shooting for either but Poe took stress and the other 2 had me out side arc with one in R1 it was beautiful. I won that game lol This is true I'm just concerned about the action economy. If here's there it means yes you have more freedom of movement but if you white or red turn. You're staying stress for no actions. Maybe I'm not seeing it right I dunno lol but late game Strong Ezra can seriously prove too much for the other person to handle. Hopefully you still have Roark in the game and if you pile the two in for an attack between ion shots and Ezra having auto focus and focus/tl each round with dorsal turret you should put up a strong fight.
