This is one of my heartaches with Imperial Assault. Its lack of casual gaming. As I said in this and other threads, I am glad the extreme edition exists for those that want it, but most people just want to get around and have fun with friends. In my personal opinion, you the Imperial Player have to enter into a sacred pact, like-a Miyagi say. "I promise not try to murder you with extreme prejudice. That my part. You promise not take so long. That you part." I think an egg timer is in order. That goes for the imperial player as well. If the friends are inexperience players, then offer to use the least punitive actions. I've not used my class cards, and limited the units I've brought to bear. I'm not suggesting you throw the game, but fun, to me, is more important in most cases than trying to wipe out the Rebel heroes. I personally would discourage the use of chat in that way.

We need some female villians.

She started life as a padawan but was kidnapped by pirates and basically went Patty Hearst. -

I wouldn't mind Aurra Sing. She was a favorite before the Clone Wars, and I thought here Clone Wars rendering was pretty good. Though I don't think there was any mention of her after he was stunned unconscious by Padme. -
The virgin birth was the worst part of that movie. It made no sense to me until the scene where Palpatine mentioned that a Sith Lord had created life using the force.... it sort of made sense that Palpatine created Anakin and left him to grow up a slave on a desert planet thinking that such a harsh childhood would drive him to the dark side. I expect Rey to have been made by the Force as well. I could be wrong, but that is my expectation.

Muh feels were hurt when Aayla died.

You could chose 3 heroes and then "a hero" i.e. a unique Rebel hero to be played by a 4th system. Even if you wanted to go with normal rules you could double that uniques hit points and allow them to make two attacks per turn if they don't move. They wouldn't upgrade or interact, but it is something.

Selling Davith's Family Heirloom for 50 credits.

Lot's of people pawn their stuff for far below its value. Maybe he has a spice addiction. This week on Coruscant Pawn, a Jedi whose fallen on hard times. -
That's funny. At the same time you've highlighted another one of those horrible plot contrivances in the prequels. That this super powered force user could operate in plain sight of the Jedi, and the best explanation GL could come up with was that the dark side had clouded their vision.

So, exactly like having Darth Vader in the game then? Thank you Aermet69 for starting this point. Exactly? Exactly like having Darth Vader? As was pointed out. Vader took part in a boarding action. Led troops into Echo Base, and lead the forces at Bespin. Additionally in Star Wars he was hands on the death star, to include grabbing a couple pilots and leading them into space combat. Additionally, as was pointed out, Tarkin was nothing more than chief administrator of the Death Star. He has demonstrated no ability to lead troops. He may have come up through the ranks running the supply fleet for all we know. After all, he apparently knew nothing of the dozens of Jedi that were running around harassing Imperial Forces. I'm sure the Death Star has a head of security that would be responsible for detecting and capturing, or killing, any would be infiltrators. When one of his aids come to him wanting to shuffle him off the station because they saw they same threat that the Rebels did, Tarkin was too arrogant to believe it was a problem. It was Vader who suggested tracking the Millennium Falcon. "I'm taking an awful risk, Vader. This had better work." Thus demonstrating his upper management risk averse style of leadership. Tarkin knew "nothing of the dozens of Jedi that were running around harassing Imperial Forces" because... wait for it... there were ZERO Jedi running around harassing Imperial Forces. Remember when Jedi were extinct, and Luke was the very... last... one????? Tarkin was only in Ep IV. All those other Jedi were retconned many years later due to a seeming lack of material to write about. You can't claim Tarkin to be in the dark on something that was only invented after he was dead. If you've seen my posts in the past you'll know I was being completely facetious. They Jedi WERE supposed to be extinct, but as you have rightly said, much retconing has taken place since those days.

The problem is that it was a horrible method, made worse by the protagonists, if you will, being forced through a series of illogical scenarios with illogical conclusions in order to get them to meet Space Jesus. As you said, it would have been better if a Jedi could just feel the force working in them, like Vader did in Star Wars when he was chasing Luke.

Kirk. To Der Baer's point. I think it violates internal consistency that Leia would have the strength to kill Jabba. Not that she wasn't a strong woman, that's not the point. I don't think any human would have had that kind of strength. It was a plot dependent moment, and the effects budge wasn't there for him to throw her across the room where she could have then grabbed a blaster. I'm not saying I hated the scene, I didn't. That doesn't mean I think there needs to be a Leia in bikini mini that has that one ability that simulates a small moment in one film.

Plus, he's clearly naked! Use green stuff to give him a bikini top too? Stop that.

Nope, you were darn close. I think sandtroopers are just heavy stormtroopers. Still, I'm not a fan of jump troopers. I guess the Empire needed something. I'm sure they will make up for it in the inevitable Endor expansion.

I am with you on this. I include Palpatine in this too. We don't need to see high level supreme commanders down in the trenches. It lacks verisimilitude. I wasn't even happy with Jabba, but if the fight takes place in his palace, I could see it. These high level military leaders like Tarkin and Admiral Ackbar? That'd be like sending Chester Nimitz on a behind enemy lines parachute drop to take out some high level Germans at some French chateau. Palpatine can hold his own in a fight and I'm sure we will see him sooner rather than later, I expect sometime around the next box expansion probably in a skirmish wave, and I imagine we will also see Yoda at some point as well, despite him never fighting in the GCW. FFG is going to release expansions of characters people know to get them to buy them, so I would imagine we will see most if not all of the big name characters and especially if they show up in newer content like Rebels. And Tarkin was shown in Rebels overseeing a battle, he wasn't even that far from it so I wouldn't rule him out, and seeing that they don't seem to care about timelines or if the character died in Episode 4 or before it further makes him seem more likely. Tarkin was shown in Rebels for the same reason as Thrawn, and the same reason people want to see him in IA, he's a recognizable character, and there is a certain expectation of his inclusion. The same task that Tarkin would fill could be done by making a new unit called "Imperial Commander" and making it a sort of elite version of an Imperial officer. As was said, people just want the mini, I can sympathize.

I'm sure he is like a Sumo wrestler, and yes, that tail is pretty weighty. Star Wars tends to show every Hutt species as a crime lord. We never just see a couple Hutt slaves crashing into each other in an arena.

Yes Star Wars miniatures are the same scale as Imperial Assault ones. Some of their minis are good, like the early Rebel Storm ones, some are not, but the Luke Skywalker Jedi Knight isn't to bad. Not as good as IA model, but not terrible. The Jedi Master one is probably the best one, but then it looks more like this new one.

Her merchandise sells. I know they made a 3 3/4 " Black Series figure for her, but not a 6 inch. I think she'd outsell Rey.

You can get the Star Was Miniatures one.

What does the monkey get out of it?

That picture of the box is great. When are we going to get an Oola miniature. She can be my companion.
