I had to correct someone on this at a recent RPQ tracked and wheeled vehicles provide heavy cover. But otherwise it's light. If you can see any part of the figure including the base you can shoot it

Your friend probably confused movement block (what the AT ST does) with block of line of sight.

You are right, the troops gain light cover (or heavy in the case of the occupier tank)
To block line of sight, the mini has to be completely hidden from the attacking unit.

I am pretty sure Maul will be in the CIS faction, considering FFG put him there in X-Wing. He would fit well in a scum faction as well though.

I can only speak for me, but in TFA they come across serious, well at least to me. Executing villagers, destroying worlds. There are some hiccups, granted, but overall in TFA I think you can take them seriously.  TLJ on the other hand... Incompetence your name is First Order.

Got to concede this one, didn't remember. That is exactly what i would like to have in legion, more infantry units, invented if it is necessary. They can do it when it is needed (like your example in X-wing), so why still insist in heroes as if there were no other options for a Star Wars ARMY?

I think you got it a bit wrong:

    Round 1:
Luke plays: Return of the Jedi
    Palp plays: Entire Legion

    Round 2:
Palp plays: Give in to your anger
Luke plays: Son of Skywalker (sorry Darth)

    Round 3:
Luke plays: I am a Jedi
Palp plays: Standing orders (aka dramatic pause)

    Round 4:
Palp plays: And now you will die
Luke plays: Father, please (to be released - all wounds taken by you this turn are also inflicted to your opponent).

    .... anyway....

Did FFG actually said that, or was it just something people assumed, since sprues are often posable?

I don't know where people got the idea that everything would be fully poseable with tons of spare bits.

Having default poses for the legs make sense with Legion targeting potential customers who have never built a miniature before. With fixed positions, it's easier to build the legs such that they both touch the ground, just use both "A" legs.
Sprues do not innately mean multipose models with tons of spare bits: look at the plastic characters from GW these days, they're as generally as customizable as Legion minis. Additionally, if the sprues were "fuller" I'd expect an increase in package price due to the greater volume of plastic used, and the increased weight for shipping. The profit margins are wide enough to probably eat such a difference, but why bother when you can get the customer to pay? And this is assuming Disney would even allow FFG to produce such a sprue, since they may want to limit the spare bits people have, minimizing Star Wars bits being used for other games.

I would be happy if they just elaborated on the Grysk some more, as I'm sure this book in general will, but they leave that open.
Just so we can have a show that has Ezra and Thrawn trekking back to civilized space being chased in a battlestar galactica-esque convoy by some unknown enemy (reimagined Yuuzhan Vong - but done right), or even said Grysk.  I mean if I'm going to dream, I might as well.   Star Wars is being opened up for new types of stories, and Ezra as a skywalker (the chiss name for force users, not the bloodline) being required of Thrawn to get back could have lots of interesting drama.    Thrawn and Ezra dislike each other, but having to work together.   Having a star destroyer being harassed constantly and using all resources (Thrawn had Defenders or at least the plans, so could create the clawcraft) is all kinds of interesting.   It also scratches an itch of having compelling imperial characters without any direct morality.   Also, Ezra’s influence on the imperial crew, as well as the imperial doctrine breaking down has good potential drama as well.
I believe that is so.   There were, I think, two times that Thrawn was absent from Rebels since being introduced, and they are coinciding with the novels.

Imagine if she'd single handedly blown up the death star with no training.
If she was a boy you'd be saying, yeah but the controls in the T-65 are the same as in the skyhopper, and he told us he used to bullseye wamp rats. So it's all.ok.
I just mean that if people like something they explain away or accept things like that. Luke grabbed his lightsaber from the snow in Empire after a couple of tried, with the audience having no idea at that point Jedi could do that. Then all he had was a few days (at best) training, and was using the mind trick. Which we never see him learn, just witness one time. None or what Rey does is new, unlike Luke. And Rey's skill as a fighter is more believable than Luke. You never see him training with a saber. But Rey is already a talented staff fighter as we see. And why wouldn't she be she's had to fight to stay alive her whole life?
I definitely think Rey is a fangirl, and partially JJ wish fulfilment, but she's easy to hand wave in to the universe if you want to.
So why don't you want to?

I've no idea how people keep coming to this conclusion...

Oh, that's why, people still insist on doing all this stuff "by eye" and with incorrect assumptions.
First, Legion is not 1:56 scale, it's roughly 1:46-1:48, so let's split the difference and say 1:47. The T-47 is listed at 5.3m in length. In 1:47 5.3m is roughly 112.8mm(rounded). The Legion T-47, measured from flap to blaster tip with digital calipers, is roughly 112.7mm.
    As to fitting stuff inside:

Consistent with screen appearance. FFG seem to have put more effort into scaling their vehicles than many of the fancy model kit makers did. What people forget is that Legion is also somewhat "heroic" scaled, meaning there is slight oversizing of some features on the figures, in terms of their height they are a close match for the scale of the vehicles.

As to the topic of CIS vehicles and scaling - personally, I will be extremely disappointed if they begin to adopt a "sliding scale" for Legion as they have for their other Star Wars games. Both because if you pick a scale for your game you should stick to it(if they wanted to do bigger stuff than will fit in a "reinforced platoon" sized game system, they should have done the game at battalion size and 15mm), and because there are actually depressingly few kits out there that match the size of the Legion infantry and vehicles to-date so FFG will be the only source of most things.
I'm also not really sure it's necessary. I know it's not something the "organised play" crowd who dominate discussion of FFG games like to hear, but the fact is the vast majority of people playing tabletop games are pretty casual, and tend to value "cool factor" above almost anything else - as GW's recent antics have shown, for a lot of gamers if they have to choose between coherent rules, coherent setting, and Big ****** Stompy Stuff, they will choose the latter every time & I can't see why that wouldn't hold true for Legion as well, if they offer big models at exorbitant prices they'll sell, whether they're "practical" gaming pieces or not.

    1) Tell that to the Gamorrean guards that Luke FORCE CHOKED in the beginning of ROTJ
    2) perhaps you have heard of The Battle of Coruscant
    3) Okay, so while Veers isn't shown on screen, I seem to recall all of the others being on Bespin at the same time and lots of blasters being shot.
    4) I'm sorry, but I am really amazed at this failure of imagination.  You're basically accepting 1980 Kenner marketing as an immutable fact and insisting that tese troops can ONLY operate in snow.  Not Cold, SNOW.  I hadn't read your WEG assumption yet, that is addressed below.  You're making assumptions about how well insulated these uniforms are (for all three kinds).  This is a military of hundreds of billions of persons, operating in every kind of climate and condition imaginable.  Maybe expand your imagination, just a little bit.
