    Poe with Pattern Analyser

    Unless you are Nien Nunb at range one in arc, then stress is your beverage of choice! AND from trying to get Nien Nunb in arc at range 1 after a red maneuver, I can say this is not always easy to do! This combo seems to be exactly the kind of hi-risk, hard-maneuvering game play FFG was going for with v2.

    It will be hard for Wedge to use Juke a Torpedoes at the same time. Swap the R2 for as R3 to make this work every other round on every other target (not necessarily the best set up to concentrate fire).

    How about this? I can't fit 5 FOs in and still have Cardinal (but 4 TIE/fo are still pretty good). The TIE/fo focus for most for their actions. If they don't need focus to defend, they can use it to turn a miss to a hit and re-roll the focus using Cardinal. Double mods on an init 1 pilot, very synergistic! Cardinal does not necessarily need to coordinate. He can lock targets and unleash 4 dice of ****! His upgrades are to keep him in the fight longer after he looses firing arc (and they are CHEAP!!).     Personally I like the first list best. If you fly evasively the first round you got a nasty pass coming to you on the second. Even if you loose a ship it’s a Tie Fighter... that’s what they’re for. You got 4 more! You have me wondering about a FO form of this (since I don’t fly Imperial anymore).

    Looks pretty good. The only change I would make is to give Dutch a R3 astromech. It synergies well with his ability and gives you some flexibility as to who your buddy gets the free target lock on. Do you want to concentrate fire (always a good idea), or do you want to ion and disable more enemies (also potentially good idea). Maybe, by spreading out fire, you can get 2 enemy ships trapped in ion maneuvers? Also, since Dutch has the turret, R4 is not as needed, IMO. I like having the flexibility R3 gives me more.
  6. I like this option better then mine. Also I would not like a new Resistance specific upgrade at all. Having a new specialized upgrade to fix an issue with an already existing more general upgrade is what broke 1.0. We don’t need that in 2.0. Or is this really 2.1?!
  7. I respectfully disagree with you there. The Starfortress's large base and inability to k-turn or barrel roll make it much more of a flying barn then the Punisher.
  8. I think the Trajectory Simulator should have a cheaper cost for Starfortresses. It true Starfortresses got a point drop, but not enough to deal with the encreased cost of Trajectory Simulator. These bombers are much less mauverable then anything else that can use Trajectory Simulator. I don’t think it’s worth the cost to put it on them anymore. I am now paying much more for something that is hard to use effectively on this big wagon of a ship. With this new adjustable point cost it is possible to adjust the cost of an upgrade by the pilot or ship who uses it (at least that was what FFG said back when they announced 2.0). This would be a good example of a good use of this capability.

    Squad Builder Bug Reporting

    I have seen this too on iPhone version 1.1.0 except when I save. The new squad does not overwrite the old. However, the rest of the bug has occurred on all previous versions I can think of.
  10. Nice idea for Han. I definitely want to try this "start any old place you want to" trick. Having some more tricks for Han makes this possible! I also like Bastian. You just can't afford to ignore him. Finally to round out the list, and have a nice bid for using Han properly, Talli. I like Talli with Predator. Like her Rebel predecessor Predator Jake, she is simple, hard flying, and has some help to give to her wing mate if flown well. Lastly, both Bastian and Talli are fast as **** with their dials plus boost. They can fly surprisingly far and catch people that though Han was all alone with their pants down!     Poe and Finch + 1

    Heroic is a low frequency use talent. And, is more likely to trigger with an A-Wing on offense and a T-70 on defense (2 dice). I would take your first build. Loose the Pattern Analyzer from the bomber and the Trick Shot from Tallie to put BB8 on Poe. This will give you a lot more shots with that Heavy Cannon (and them a lot less shots on Poe). For a small bid. Drop Heroic. For a larger bid loose the either the Trajectory Simulator or the Seismic Charges in addition. Then fly Poe like the TIE Interceptor on steroids that he is. Use reload bomb, reload bomb on Finch like the mad bomber he is. Tallie is in the flanks like you have her.

    Talon Roll Questions

    Thanks for the answers. From BitterFig’s geometries and from reading the rules, it seems there is 1/4 of a small ship base wiggle room in either direction for any ship doing a Talon Roll. Per spaceinvader, you get 3 choices of end position any of which can complete the maneuver. However, it does not look like the rules align with a medium base ship measuring a T-roll out to the edge of its base aligned with edge of the template. The rules talk about aligning hash marks and templates, not base edges and templates. emeraldbeacon is just funny! ? and true! I think the rules could use a diagram of medium ship T-roll in a future update. A picture being worth about 1000 of this old stuff I’m writing!
  13. Hello all. I have some questions on the Talon Roll maneuver. These have all come up in games of 2.0 I’ve played. 1. When executing a Talon Roll with another ship close to the end point. I have been told the maneuver is blocked if the maneuvering ship overlaps when placed with it’s side hash mark aligning the center line of the ruler (irregardless of if it would not overlap in one of the two othe possible end positions). I thought, similar to barrel roll, you have three choices of an end position for Talon Roll and the maneuver completes if you can place the ship in any of the three end points. The rules seem to read the later. Which is it? 2. How do you align the end point for a Talon Roll on a medium base, such as the Firespray? The middle choice is easy, align side hash mark to center line. The slightly fore or aft choices are not clear. Do you overlay a 1 straight template on the end of the turn template and measure like a barrel roll for a medium base? Do you align the side hash mark with the fore or aft edge of the template? Do you align the fore or aft edge of the base with the fore or aft edge of the template? Thank you all for your insights!

    4 B’s and a Z

    I like it! 2e gives new life to a classic build of mayhem! My take on BBBBZ was to use the extra points after adding the ships to have a Tala with cluster missiles and crack shot. It makes for up to 18 attack dice (if I am aiming at a swarm)! That is gonna hit something and make that something HURT. However, I like this list too. Not as much fire, but a good ace with a fine ability for repositioning and getting those mods. Your Blount is a rapier. My Tala is a warhammer. Both kill!
