  1. CT-4077 is in doubt. Just a very short moment, but doubt nonetheless. His squad mate is injured, but the moving statues keep coming, and they come in fast now. The horde is actually starting to overrun their position. No medic is worth his medical training if he lies on the floor, beaten into a fine paste, so the best option, for now, is to let loose with ample firepower. However, things are not as well as they could have been. When he tries to level his rifle at some of the little monstrosities, others start to drag his barrel down again, making the whole concept of firing effective shots more difficult. CT-4077 then kicks back one or two of the stone assailants, allowing him to get a short breather. Temporarily free of stone dead weights, CT-4077 suddenly feels the need to aim to his left, where more of the statues are. As if guided by some invisible hand, the combat medic opens fire, gets off a couple of shots, and this time actually hits some of the enemies.
  2. Firing while engaged: 1eA+2eP+3eD+1eS 0 successes, 1 advantage Add in 2 successes from the Jedi. Into the horde overwhelming us, another 11 damage (pre soak and that sort of thing). Spending 1 advantage on Strain recovery.
  3. In a way, it already is so. Partially, and under specific conditions. If my character is targeted by a combat check, and I have the Dodge Talent, I can use it and alter that combat check by upgrading it's difficulty. A Guarded Stance maneuver increases, at a cost, my melee Defense, which is a setback die to my attackers' melee combat checks. Now, combining your idea and what I believe @97Starvipper asks for in the examples, I would say, replace the standard difficulty for combat checks with skills and attributes, making them an opposed roll instead of a static combat check. Match combat skills against combat skills, for example. For Melee, don't use standard Difficulty Average (2purple ), but use the opponent's Melee instead. Match Brawl against Brawl, and Lightsaber against Lightsaber skills, for example. Mind you, this emphasizes those attributes (Brawl, possibly Agility with a couple of Talents like Ataru Technique) and skills even more, and they become ever more important to have. Also, this might as well cause combats to last longer on average. As for ranged combat, perhaps use Coordination to replace the difficulty for Ranged (Light) - as these are generally short-range light weapons which you can see coming, and Vigilance for Ranged (Heavy) - them being weapons you really need to be able to see at range. Use setback dice for ranged modifiers. @97Starvipper I wouldn't change any of this personally, but this might be a way for you to introduce less static difficulties in combat and allow for more skilled or talented individuals to be able to last longer in a fight.
  4. You stand in shock and awe for a brief moment, unable to do anything but stammer around for a moment. Then you realize, despite this never having been in the simulators on Kamino, this is but one of the many million more... "things"... you would not have seen in the simulators, and fear only freezes future dead soldiers. Something like that?

But in a OT Trilogy era as an exception to the rule, or a propaganda stunt? Why not?
  6. Now listen here, all of you! *Start inspirational Imperial March like music* In this here great Galactic Empire we like to see all beings flourish. Peace and stability for all! Besides a bit of genetics, body chemistry and some cultural and linguistic differences, there are no differences between bothans, cathar, sullustans or mon calamari. Wookiees aren't slaves! They are valued for their physical prowess and stoic labor values. Take a look at this here fine young wookiee specimen... thing... person. Rorwuuhl, I think it is called? Say hi to the people, Rorwuuhl! Raaargh! Yes, that's enough now. Go the the shuttle. You see, people, Rorwuuhl is an Imperial Flight Academy cadet. He earned his place due to his hard work and dedication to our glorious Empire. And so can you! *Endinspirational Imperial March like music* ... ... ... Rumor control, all of you! Settle down, please! *Start sad Imperial March like music* It is true that Rorwuuhl is no longer a part of the Imperial Flight Academy. He has shown great promise, but there just wasn't a suitable place for him. It is all part of his own doing, however. He started to object to the size of the cockpits of TIE fighters! He made a mess of training materials by means of his inhuman strength. He refused to learn Imperial Basic as to improve proper communications. The teachers have tried their best, but Rorwuuhl's leaving the Academy was in everyone's best interest. Rest assured we have found him a new place within our glorious Empire where his strengths and abilities can be put to a proper use, and language is hardly a barrier. But again, none of it can be put at fault of the Empire. Rorwuuhl caused his own undoing. *End sad Imperial March like music* ... ... ... Cue the Maw Installation. A sad, young wookiee is put to work. It seems slave labor to all but the human overseers themselves, indoctrinated to the point where they actually believe to be superior to their worker force. Little do they know that the wookiee, Rorwuuhl, has had some Imperial Academy Cadet time for real, if just for the show, the veil of inclusion drawn over the eyes of the average Imperial citizen. One day the Rebellion will come. One day Rorwuuhl will be freed. And if the Rebellion has a starfighter with big enough of a cockpit, he will show them his training.
  7. Fear: 2eA+4eD+1eC 4 failures, 1 threat Seems CT-4077 is a Medic, not an exorcist!
  8. "Stay quiet!" I mean, why? When they have been rotting for sufficiently long a time, most zombies wouldn't have any intact eardrums, and should be deaf as a door knob. "Stay out of sight!" Right. When their eyeballs have turned into goo and their eye sockets are empty, how would they 'see' you anyways? "Drape yourself with these zombie innards, they will think you are one of their own by the smell." Such a cute idea. Besides draping yourself in rotting biomass that might infect you with all manner of nasty stuff, you may just throw up, and show yourself to be alive. Besides, some zombies have no nose to speak of, and if they would have functional olifactory organs, wouldn't they first smell their own rot just as bad first? All of the above does actually asume there is a brain that can still register sensory input. As such, we don't really know how a zombie would taste your flesh and brains, or how it would even feel whether it has a deathgrip on your arms or not. I believe it is safe to say that zombies wouldn't rely on traditional sensory input through the five physical senses (at least by a biological/scientific measure anyways), so any advice that has to do with subterfuge would likely seem moot. . And that's as far as the zombies themselves. . Other 'solid' advice is to hole up in a mall or something. A place with several food suppliers having mass-storage freezers, maybe a sporting good store (potentially with weapons, if even a steady supply of baseball bats). A nice furniture place to seek a comfortable bed. And then you would have to contend with other survivors... And we all know those can be worse than the zombies. Besides that, there are plenty of zombocalypse movies that show even the best defended mall can be broken into, and someone always leaves a door open...
  9. And remember, if it's available to the Player Characters... 😈
  10. "Right at your back, brother. I might stay with you to take care of any wounded while we go up again!" With that, CT-4077 reasserts his role as a medic again. Yet he levels his rifle, and pulls the trigger. Shot after shot shows the rest that the medic isn't without combat capability either, however. As his blaster bolts impact their targets, left and right parts of various statues burst off.
  11. Attacking the statues it is. Maneuver to aim for a Boost, 2 Setbacks for darkness and all. Attack living statues: 1eA+2eP+1eB+1eD+2eS 1 success A net result of 10 Damage, no thrills.
  12. Being the medic, I don't mind going last any ways, fixing people who acted first and got shot in return, so go ahead. 😇
  13. "Yes sergeant!" CT-4077 walks over to the console and swiftly looks at it. He opens the casing, and almost immediately spots a couple of loose wires. Just a tad too enthousiastic, CT-4077 grabs hold of the wires as he would tie them together, and a slight jolt slightly numbs his left hand for a little while. "Bantha poodoo! I'm a medic, not a technician." he mutters under his breath, maybe just audible or maybe not. But, it's a truth, and even if the truth told him otherwise, he does manage to get the wires attached in a haphazard way. As CT-4077 closes the casing again, the screen lights up, showing the controls, and a couple of bottons now have a faint, shining light underneath them. "Sir! Console's ready!"
  14. Okay, so... checking the console, doing my part. Probably a maneuver to get to the console, and then an action (1 of 3) with the Mechanics check for my share of setting up the crane and getting it working. Crane controls: 3eA+1eD+1eS 2 successes, 1 threat
  15. Pre-emptive Vigilance for initiative: 2eA 0 successes, 2 advantage
  16. CT-4077 takes a quick glance over the ones the squad could still save. They would probably be fine here, for now, free from whatever was happening to them. With a direct order from Gunslinger, CT-4077 snaps to action, medical kit stowed away for now, and gun at the ready. "Sir! Yes, sir!" Though it would be easy for him to do so, CT-4077 does not overtake Gunslinger. Deep inside he is still worried that the squad sergeant is over excerting himself a little, what with the condition he is still in.
  17. On colors. I found a deviant art image for a phase 1 clone trooper armor when I searched for Clone Trooper medic. It is mostly white with black accents, and a red symbol on the shoulders. Barring my lack of specific knowledge of any timeline here, CT-4077 might just as well have completely white armor (probably with that medic symbol somewhere), and I don't have any objections to other colors at all. It is, after all, just one image among many thousands. I have recently started to watch Clone Wars season 6 on Disney+, so I am getting the picture more and more. I saw the transition to Phase 2 armor and the likes. The use of colors other than a small band indicating rank. On what he is doing. CT-4077 is likely to stay and help with freeing and taking care of the people trapped in this bizarre area. He is a medic after all, and there seem to be clones and jedi commanders here who could use a little patch work. So unless specifically ordered to join any wandering parts of the party, CT-4077 is likely to stay where he is at currently, overseeing and helping with saving lives. Edit: Saw the direct order in the IC thread. 😂😇
  18. Almost completely right there with @RickInVA about this. Specific cults, churches and what not may just be local organizations, and even if they have reached that "interplanetary" size, they may not be that well known in the general public. However, the one thing I do keep wondering about myself is this. The Force ought to be rather well-known in general. 25.000 years of Republic history including some form of Jedi, Sith, other traditions, their predacessors, and only 19 years to wipe the slate clean.... No. People must know about the Force. But RickinVa gives us a USSR example. A single state on a single planet. In that light, would Republic Era schools teach about the Jedi? I guess they would if those schools were on Coruscant. Corellia, Alderaan, and far more planets. But would they on Kel Dor? Wouldn't they teach about the Force as a part of the tradition on the Baran Do Sages instead of about the Jedi (specifically)? Would other, local, schools teach about the Force, or the Jedi as a Force-using organization? And what if a planet with its own traditions and Force-organization later joins the Republic, coming in contact with the Jedi? Would their own teachings prevail and lessons about the Jedi still only be a footnote?
  19. Medicine check on Brick: 3eP+1eD 3 successes, 2 advantage, 1 Triumph Seems like fixing Brick is easy. 😂
  20. So, how far off is Brick ? (What would be the Medicine check difficulty there?)
  21. CT-4077 shifts his attention from the corridors and the general atmosphere of the area to more pressing matters. First, he tends to Akua's wounds. As they may have expected, the clone medic does his job quick and adequate. The CT-4077 turns to Vos. "Sorry sir. There seems to be little I can do to help you right here, right now. I did my best to mend all those nicks, bruised and burns from your help on top of the walker back there. The medic recommends a medical center and some rest." Though he is a medic first nowadays, CT-4077 still is a soldier. As such, with his primary job done now. he falls back in line, ready for what comes.
  22. An average Medicine check on Vos. Medicine check on Vos: 3eP+2eD 0 successes, 4 advantage That turned out to be rather... uneventful! 😂
  23. So... @Rabobankrider DIfficulty for any Medicine checks on Akua? And then the analysis of the green glowy... thing? What check at what difficulty?
  24. "Is anyone here also glad to see the medic?" The question comes from the back of the squad, and is presented quite as-a-matter-of-factly.
