  1. After this thread I was convinced that it's probably not worth it to try and run Kyle like this. I think he's probably just a bit too expensive for the support he provides.
  2. 1) Yes, ships can shoot through other ships, no problem. 2) No, initiative does not change each turn.
  3. I'm a fairly new player working on a list for a tournament next weekend. This is adapted from something I saw either here or on reddit (can't find the original thread): (32) Jake Farrel(24): (0) Test Pilot (3) PTL (1) VI (3) Proton Rockets (1) Munitions Failsafe (34) Poe Dameron(31): (3) R5-P9 (0) Integrated Astromech (34) Kyle Katarn (21): (1) Determination (6) TLT (3) Recon Specialist (3) Moldy Crow So the idea is for Kyle to generate a lot of focus and hand it off to Poe and Jake to help them out. I've played it in 4 casual games so far and am 1-3. I guess what I'm curious about is, do you feel like this list is innately weak because of the low total hull/shield(and Kyle's relatively low survivability), or am I just flying it badly? I mean, obviously I'm flying it badly - I'm very new and still learning how to effectively arc-dodge with Jake. If the list would be decent in capable hands, then I'll probably still play it for the learning experience. If the consensus is the that the list is in general just too weak even when flown very well, then I'll probably go for something else instead. Any thoughts on some small modifications that might help? I haven't been able to come up with anything other than the obvious choice to drop the Proton Rockets, Munitions Failsafe, and Integrated Astromech and then adding Autothrusters to Jake and Poe, but I haven't managed to get my hands on a starviper yet and don't think i'll be able to get one by next week. Thanks for any thoughts/feedback!
  4. There's an expansion pack called "Most Wanted" that comes with 2 Z-95s and a Y-wing, it's generally considered to be the best starting point for Scum.
  5. I'll be at the Guild on the 9th, should be a good time. War and Pieces just made two facebook groups: "War and Pieces Xwing" and "Lancaster City Xwing" - probably a good idea to join them to get updates on when people are going to start playing. You can join them by clicking on the links from today's post on their facebook page.
  6. I posted on War and Pieces' Facebook page and they said they've been getting lots of requests for Xwing and that on Jan 2 they'll have a special announcement about it.. I assume they're going to be bringing back some sort of weekly or bi-weekly league. I live in Conestoga which is pretty close to Lancaster, but I work in the city. So I'd say let's wait and see what they announce this weekend or early next week, and if we need to we can try to set something up ourselves if there aren't any better options by then.
  7. There was a lively scene at War and Pieces, a game shop in downtown Lancaster, but it seems like it died sometime over the summer. Maybe with enough interest we could revive it and get players to come out again? The next best option is The Adventurer's Guild in Harrisburg which does XWing nights every other Weds and tournaments every few months.
