Thanks for the feedback.  I'm also a fond user of RebellionMap.com, and in fact, that website was an inspiration for me to build RebellionBuild.com.  When I was thinking of a design, I considered using a map as the interface; however, I ultimately decided on using a table for the following reasons:

    1. RebellionMap and RebellionBuild are meant to compliment, not replace, one another.  RebellionMap helps the Imperial player keep track of explored planets to help find the Rebel base, regardless of planet loyalty.  RebellionBuild focuses on planet loyalty to calculate builds.  These tools accomplish two separate goals.

    2. If I used a map as the interface from RebellionBuild, the user would have two similar map interfaces with different use cases, leading to confusion.  Many users use both tools simultaneously so I believe that this is a legitimate concern.

    3. Ethically, I think it's wrong to copy RebellionMap.  Also, there's no way I could ever make a map look that good. :-P

In regards to you second point about displaying the number of icons, and not displaying all possibilities is a great suggestion, and I may implement that in a future update.

    Hello, thanks for the response

My main concern why I suggested using the map is that you have the Planets listed alphabetiacally, which is not very intuitive unless you have played the game multiple times (or are a super hardcore fan)

If you at least would organize the planet names to resemble the galaxy map that would be most welcome. I still think that copying the galaxy map and modifiyng it to be distinctly different from the probe deck tracker map  (after consulting with the author for approval) is the best way to go.

  2. It would be much more organized if you would change the https://www.rebellionbuild.com/  layout to be that of the starmap as in http://rebellionmap.com/

and by simply clicking we would toggle between, Rebel production, Imperial Loyalty Production, Imperial Subjugated production, No production.
After you click Build, you get number of Icons and their position on the build queue displayed, not listed all the possibilieites for the build.

That would make the feature SUPER useful.

  3. If you allow investigators to influence the Omen track with abilities, you can force a blue loop (everytime the Omen advances, it advances to a blue Omen) which allows you to completely ignore non-blue Gates.

If you don't allow to influence it, it becomes totally random which is in my eyes not desirable.

I'm not sure I'd know how. I need to know more about what campaign play is and how it affects ordinary gameplay.

To me, the major purpose of these stats reports is to figure out which AO is the hardest. Once you start playing multiple games that all interrelate, that muddies things slightly. But I'm not opposed to the idea.

A campaign game is not much different from a normal game. Here are the most notable differences:

    • The game is played with 2 specific preludes in play, details in the rulebook (most notable change)
    • Dark Pacts and Promise of Powers carry over to the subsequent games (no effect on the Statistics, unless you include Condition tracking)
    • Completed Personal Stories from previous game start in play (no effect on the Statistics, unless you include Personal Story tracking)
    • Devastated Cities from previous games remain devastated. (no effect on the Statistics, unless you include Devastated Space tracking)

There quite a few AO that our group never gets to see wake up, this prelude helps with that.

I played a lot of games, and don't have the expansion yet even, but I know for sure, that because of the same exact reason, this is my new most favorite Prelude (Previously: Sins of the Past)

Render of the Veils is a fun event, true, but nothing seems special about Reversal of Fortunes.

Destroy potentially {Investigator Number} of Clues and you can do NOTHING about it, when you are ready to solve a Mystery seems pretty special to me :)

The other text about destroying Items and Spells is just a bonus.

  8. I hope they will balance Top tier characters and weak characters by giving

    Strong characters - hard/punishing Reward/Consequence cards

    Weak characters - easy/minor Reward/Consequence cards

Father Mateo seems like a strong character (but we can never know for sure until played) and he seems to have a very punishing Consequence Card so I hope they continue this balancing with all Investigators :)

  9. Hello everyone

Have you ever wondered how likely you are to succeed at/prevent a Mission when the Opponent has already 1 relevant Icon in the System and is able to send a Character with 2 Icons and 1 Minor icon? You probably have and probably you guessed a little and came to a conclusion that it's "likely" or "nor very likely".

But did you ever wanted to know EXACTLY how likely? Well now you can!

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1dZICjOPDMDQ3mkAKaC3hjOOIXNfQOmR0qWNNBN60UL4/edit?usp=sharing

Since I don't want to give people access to fiddle around with the sheet, in order to use it you have to create your own local copy (File - Make copy)

    How to use it?

    1. Click on the Overview sheet

    2. Set desired number of Skill Icons and Minor skill icons for Attacker (the player who played the Mission) and Defender (the player who opposes the Mission)

    3. Read the result for normal Mission or the +2 result (Mission with guaranteed 2 successes for the Attacker)

Disclaimer: I am not 100% sure in my math (only 99%), so If you find any mistakes in my Math, please point them out!

Ring effects like R2D2 and Yoda are not included in the calculation, since they would make it even more complicated than it already is (maybe in the future, but not very likely).

The design of the Overview sheet is to  accommodate use on a Mobile device (maybe not 100% user friendly, but I can use it with relative ease on my device)

    Enjoy!

  10. Yep. If the word "instead" is missing, the effect is in addition to anything else that is relevant. This seems to be a general rule.

Examples: Patricia Hathaway closes a gate during an Otherworld Encounter, that generated from the "Fractured Reality" Rumor (go to space 2, as an encounter, draw and resolve an Otherworld Encounter, if you close that Gate solve this Rumor instead). Result = Patricia does not gain a Clue and Focus.

Number of Players is 4 or less. Kate Winthrop is standing on Buenos Aires. During the Mythos phase, the Mythos Card "Outbreak!" (Effect: Spawn a Zombie Horde Epic Monster on one of the Gates spawned this round, Monster surge on the rest of the Gates that spawned this round) is drawn. during the Spawn Gate step, investigators reveal the Buenos Aires gate. During the Spawn Gate step, Kate Winthrop triggers her ability, which allows her to discard the Gate and gain 1 Clue instead. Result = the Zombie Horde that should be spawned on Buenos Aires is not spawned, since no Gates spawned, because Kate Winthrop negated the "spawn Gate" effect with her ability that uses instead.

  11. You can create a separate category for each element of the game and mix them together to create a final outcome.

For Example if you win and doom is 0, and there is 1 Disaster token on the board, you mash together the first box from the "Doom" category and the second box from the "Disaster Tokens on Board" category. Additional category can be created (Clues,Monsters,Blessings,Curses,Dark Pacts,Madness,Injury........)
