She can make an additional check @Imperial Stormtrooper: Formidable Computers with 4 Setbacks, to find a needle in the server stacks. Otherwise, that is a job that would take quite some time (hours, if not days), even for a team of techs.

    Would codebreaker apply to this check?

    Since there doesn't seem to be anything else in the room I'll try the computers check.

     

    Computers: 3eP+1eA+2eD+1eS 4 successes, 1 threat, 1 Triumph

    Nice! Does the triumph save even more information, or something else? Also what's the threat?

     

    I'll edit my post sometime today or tomorrow after I know the results.

    I'll think on what makes the most sense. Is the other sound still there, or was that related to the rebel PCs?

    "Follow me." Briar says to the Stormtroopers as she climbs through the hole that the Inquisitor had cut in the lift, finding the second floor filled with desks with computers sitting atop them. She looks around the room noticing silence, it appears the rebels had already abandon this level. Moving over to one of the computers Briar sees that someone had started to clear the files in an attempt to prevent the Empire from getting the information, moving quickly she is able to stop the wipe and save some of the data.

You could certainly choose to make the Perception check as an Action, and Maneuver to move into the space, as you attempt to perceive something important. Or, of course, come up with something completely different, if you have something else in mind.

    I'll suffer the two strain to take a second maneuver.

    Would it be possible to decide if to take strain or use my action to take that maneuver after the check, or does that not work? Getting close to strain threshold, so I'll need to think it over when I have time if I need to decide before.
