  1. Surely it will be the "mysterious" SWX58 which is yet to be revealed.

Likely to be Rogue One related, but could be a scum epic with a bonus small ship fix ( Syck, Kfhyihdx or Viper)

im gonna laugh when they announce SWX58 will be the rogue one starter. partisan x wing vs tie striker and normal tie or something and the ofrums have to face the idea of a new starter for every movie

  2. X-wing doesn't need a "real" fix, maybe just something to make it more interesting and unique (but not much stronger). Because X-wing was the first ship released, it is the basic yet boring model compared to other ships. But for me it is still competitive. People just like to play new things

the TIE fighter is basic and boring. it manages to still be good. you can be effective and basic at the same time.

At first blush, this combo is really, really good.  As long as you're fighting up close, you get to perform white moves to effectively clear your PTL stress.  That's good on it's own, but it gets way better.  The T70 has good red moves on its dial.

Those Talon Rolls are extremely useful.  When fighting against higher PS ships, Nien Nunb can perform one of his three red turnaround moves (and those T-rolls have some shift) to get behind a higher PS ship before it moves, guaranteeing that your move doesn't generate a stress, allowing you to take an action and then use PTL to take another action.  As you still have a ship at Range 1 in arc, that stress is free, too.  If you're modestly good at guessing dials, you can usually clear the stress against lower PS ships as well.

There's a whole pile of upgrades that can make use of his ability

Vectored Thrusters gives him extra maneuverability options to make sure he ends up in Range 1 of something.

R3-A2 lets you stress someone at Range 1 with no penalty to your own ship.  Although this is likely to only work against lower PS ships, so it's probably not the greatest use of the card.

Pattern Analyzer acts as insurance against lower PS ships if you guess incorrectly.  You can dial in a red move, then if you're outside of Range 1, you use Pattern Analyzer to perform your action and use PTL to get another action.  Unless you're a really terrible guesser, that should allow you to bring your ship into Range 1 of your target.  This then lets you dump the stress from PTL, and you then when you "check pilot stress", you're in Range 1, and you drop that stress too.

There's probably a dozen other awesome things you can do with this ability, what do you all think?

your thread should be Nien Nunb with _______ is insane

snap shot r3a2 new meta stressman, rebel stress quickdraw

edit : nien nub and quickdraw fighting on top of a ruined at-at shes yellin BROOOOTHER

  4.

Adding an extra die to primary attacks is not a small thing.  True, it doesn't help when you're rolling bare dice, but a lot of things don't.

if it was priced properly, anything with re-rolls would've loved it. Imagine FCS Finn gunner ghost that didn't run you an extra 12 points...

12 points is the cost of Punishing One, and while "+1 die to attacks" is pretty much where the similarity ends you're still looking at 12 points for +1 red and a reroll.  Like I said in the other thread, I could have seen him a point cheaper, but below that?  Nah.

punishing one is also a PWT

    Finn? in arc

also a guaranteed fail without re=rolls; punishing one is an extra die

also a crew card; not a title. that's some valuable real estate you're wasting

I mean, I did say "that's where the similarity ends".  But for the same cost as Punishing One, you're getting the rerolls from FCS to make Finn not "a guaranteed fail" (at least most of the time).  When you have the reroll, there's only a minor difference between "adds a die" and "adds a blank".

And yes, crew not title, but given that his main homes would be ships with existing titles (Ghost, Millennium Falcon[x2], Pivot Wing, Alliance Overhaul[?]), him being a crew slot instead of a title is actually a good thing.

Like I said it's not a perfect comparison, but I do think you're underselling adding a (granted: blank) die to primary attacks, even if they are in-arc only.

    I'm not underselling it

    it's a great ability

it's not five points great, except arguably on a single pilot who doesn't have to invest extra to make it do something useful

old han loves him. han huggin finn like "i love this guy" and poes in his t-70 gettin jealous.

  5. Just wondering since I really like the newer X-wings. Are they viable in the current meta? Or are they just as bad as everything else the rebels field?

only one is viable and his name is poe. this has been true since they were released and hopefully hotr helps with some cool new mid-ps pilots

  6. Nah, the Firespray has found its scummy home. I rather get a large base combat ship for Imps. Not a shuttle to ferry someone around, not something with a easy peasy turret, but a brutal aggressor kind of deal.

you mean like the aggressor which does its name better

    oh you saidi mps

you mean like the defender which is just better

  7. I disagree. The recent winner of the GenCon NA Championships used this list:

    Corran Horn + Veteran Instincts + Fire-Control System + R2-D2

Wes Janson + Veteran Instincts + R3-A2 + Integrated Astromech

    Biggs Darklighter + R4-D6 + Integrated Astromech

    (100)

    There were 300 people!

And look at Paul Heaver's past 3 world's winning lists. Lots of shields. Make them have to hit you.

    your lying dude

  8. heres the thing op

the ships people think of when you type jousters, suck at jousting. if it isnt a black crack or ordnance alpha it isnt worth the points you are paying to get arc dodged

also large base engine upgrade was a mistake

  9. ...so betting on 1-3 of the following ships comming to X-wing in december and added to wave 10:

U-wing expansion (rebel, large base ship) with Jyn Erso, Cassian pilots and K-2SO crew and perhaps other 1-2 pt rebel crew, which are going to be OP. Stats like an imperial shuttle with 2 crew slots, systems, and perhaps boost, the U-wing looks kinda like a fast ship?

Tie Striker (imperial, small ship) stats like a T-65 xwing, but perhaps the first small ship with an additional mobile firing arc, as the tie striker is rumored to have a turret. Perhaps a crew slot and systems slot also.

Scurrgh H6 (scum, large ship) Not seen in the trailers, but the ship is from that area and in Armada. Statswise should be somewhat similar to a K-wing but with a 3 dice normal in arc primary, but still with a turret upgrade slot, 1 crew and native slam. Perhaps comming with a new modification that finally lets you drop a bomb, before executing the SLAM maneuver. I still cannot forget that K-wing preview.

Disclaimer: these are all guesses that I think would make sense and that I would love to see in the game. If you do not like this post, or dislike predicitions about future ships comming to X-wing, please feel free to ignore this post and go write somewhere else. If you do like this post, or simply disagree with my prediction, please feel free to post your own suggestions in this thread as I would love to hear what you are thinking. Have a very nice day.

imagine the u wing as a fast shuttle that can go super fast but has no chill

like, it cant go 1 speed, it cant do 2 straights, but then it gets a flippable title (like adaptability but flip it as an action) that takes away its boost or a dice of shooting or w/e but gives it the option to juno eclipse its movement downwards after revealing its dial

im not saying we know thats how it would be from what little weve seen im just saying that could be fun to play with, please - no bullying

  10. I didn't realize how huge K-2SO was going to be. He's like 10 feet tall.

Also, has anybody mentioned the shuttle that isn't Krennic's abomination?

    RogueOneShuttle.jpg

We saw that scene in the previous trailer, but now there's confirmation that it really is a shuttle that has front and back wings for some reason, not just two shuttles parked end to end.

    RogueOneShuttles.jpg

    i really like that thing

i dont know the way the wings moved when it took off just looked cool, to me
