  1.

So what's the problem? Why can't we do well at the top tables in Worlds, and Regionals often represent Rebels/Scum higher than Imperials? I want to hear what you guys think, but my thought is pretty simple:

    It is simple, High variance.

I dont really see high variance from the faction of palp and x7 so this post must have traveled through time to arrive here in november 2016. spoilers, guy from early 2015: the star of the apprentice is our president now, in the future

  2. Yeah, and it looks like they misspelled "law and order" as "terror" in the flavor text.

It's an easy mistake to make.

vote kylo - the terror candidate

  3. Today is a day that will live in... well for me infamy. I haven't really played X-Wing for 10 months now, and honestly it's made me happy. I used to really like X-Wing, flying different ships, Y-Wings, X-Wings, seeing the new faction, but then it kept getting bigger.... and more new cards came, and more new cards, and the fifth iteration of the tie fighter, and then the resistance and the first order, and now the Patch today. Not only did X-Wing price me out with how much you have to buy, but it lack-of-funned (real word) me out.

X-Wing simply isn't fun anymore. If you don't buy everything the day it comes out you are already behind. There is no casual play, it's all tournament or league play and everyone has their META build and never deviate because they have to get ready for store, or regional, or national or World tournaments. I mean you used to not be able to get on here without seeing Fly Casual, not I'm not even sure that exists.

X-Wing is just simply too big now. There are too many cards, ships, combos (and yet most still only use one) and I refuse to continue buying three of one ships to get the card and never use the ships. How many B-Wings do I have, or Y-Wings. How many First Order Ties.

Maybe one day I will play X-Wing with the old ships, but sadly now they just collect dust while I enjoy other games.

I guess in a way this is a call for nostalgia and that maybe the game can revert to what it once was, hopeful thinking.

(I'm sure the comments for this will be glorious, because not only has the play not been casual but this forum has been a mine field)

    ok.

  4.

Youngster on the FAQ specifically mentions TIEs and TIE/fo, not TIE/sf.

It is explicit regarding TIE/fo but, for me at least, it is implied that the ruling is regarding "TIE Fighters".

If so then the TIE/sf should be included as well.

the /fo set precedent, which will absolutely not come back to bite ffg in the ass

  6. I honestly am curious what people think. Are these far off? Considering you never see Imp Firesprays and jumpmasters are prominent in scum builds, I assume yes,

comparison: bounty hunter is hideously overcosted and never played, contracted scout is aggressively costed to avoid the WSF/ORS issue and probably one point under where it should be. thats my hot take

  7.

theoretically if you had a way to injure yourself before you moved on quickdraw (via some weird pre-move baffles sort of deal) you would shoot then take your dialed in move then shoot again in the combat phase.

its the same principle as baffled rage

Upsilon Shuttle with Coordinate action. Just Rage+baffle before you move. Shoot with full mods and do a green to clear other stress and do focus action and then shoot full modded attack again in the combat phase.

coordinate is going to be so sick dude

  8. main thing about the jumpmaster that bugs me is the dial. No large ship should be that maneuverable. It has THE best dial in the game, large ships are suppose to be a tax for the power they bring because being a large base is suppose to be a bad thing. but when you give them such an insane dial and broll it doesnt feel like it has a penalty for a large base at all.

The right turns and 2left sloop should have been red. Theres no way a ship that massive can rotate 180 on a dime and not feel inertia ripping it apart, and its asymmetrical design yields its amazing left turn but doesnt give a right turn penalty??

That being said though, i'd rather deal with them than the fatPWTs. Truth, a single jm5k is usually a 3die pwt but almost all of its shenanigans require its arc anyway. Dengar is nowhere near as mean if you can sidestep his front arc and he goes down easier than fathan/decimators. Course against a single ship he just 2sloops and has you anyway.

jm5k is so powerful its in virtually EVERY list, even casual play. I cant remember the last time i faced a scum player that didnt use a jm5k. New ships should be more powerful than old ships, otherwise whats the point in releasing new ones (except for the oddball that adds a completely different tactic, even if its not technically stronger it can change the mentality of the game), but the jm5k is too much.

im getting tired of facing dengar literally every match. Even if hes a lousy pick for what theyre doing, they still bring him.

this is true of almost every large ship that isnt holding poopy palpy. all big ships get ridiculous dials because ???

  9. If I'm not misremembering it has a system slot. If I'm right then its dial doesn't matter much to me as long as it has a stop maneuver. Electronic baffle makes the shuttle sing and I see no reason for it not to do the same for whatever dial that big beast throws at us.

we know it has green 2 banks so probably white 2 hard so it isnt full baffalo status

  10. Come on, Empire won't get a fanboy expansion like the Ghost... systems, turrets, a horde of crew etc (buthurt rant over).

yeah its like empire will never get one of the best pilots in the game with all his best mods in a single blister (for like 25 points total)

  11. It would be like pathfinderRPG, it can be used with dnd 3.x, but it can't be called dnd and would have to be careful about what it uses.

pathfinder only works because dnd basically gave away the game for free with its dumb open license thing iirc

youre free to write house rules op, but asking for money for them is really obviously going to get you in trouble
