Seriously, all these great designs are out there, and JJ gives us split-wing X-Wings, a Chubby Star Destroyer, repainted TIEs and a Bat Wing.
You do realise that the split wing X-Wing is directly taken from Ralph McQuarrie's original concept sketches, right? Just like Chopper and Zeb from Rebels? That wasn't some new designer you can brush off, that was from the original master himself!

I keep getting bothered by the constant reuse of early concepts. There was, at the time, apparently good reason to discard them in favour of the versions that were used. Recycling them is missing the point.

No probs, just had an Epic game last week where it came up.
The gist as I get it is that the card instructs '1 Energy, 1 additional die', you only get one use of an effect per opportunity, and there's only one opportunity because the Corvette only has a single primary attack (though I guess Gunner would do it, can't recall if that's excluded from Huge ships).

I can't help but think that huge-ship cloak would involve energy somehow.
What if it required, say, 5-6 energy to initiate the effect,so it wouldn't be an action but would have similar timing? Could even allow movement shenanigans with that requirement.

Welp definitely a third pilot then lol.
Wonder why some ships are getting 6 cards these days. With the exception of the contracted scout and academy/black tie fighter its not like generics ever get used lol.
1/3/4 generics have been standard for 'simple' TIES (LN/IN/FO) for ages at least.

The unknown PS striker is 5. The number has a flat top, which is only 5 or 7, and they're always arranged in ascending order so there's no way its 7.
Meaning its probably a third unique pilot, given a +1 PS jump from the black squad.
You're probably right, I just didn't have time to check if it was an odd layout for a 6-pilot ship (i.e. whether they were having to hide pilot name for spoiler reasons).
The unique dot's visible anyway.

My only complaint: Just how many versions of X-wings we're going to get saddled with. Betcha the T-80 in Episode 8 has one extra green (possibly both speed 2 banks) and an extra red, eh?
Nah, VIII will have the RZ-2 A-Wing and TIE Interceptor/dictor.

it's definitely different, I don' think Han Solo could've done the Kessel Run in under 12 parsecs in a filthy computer simulation, there's no way the hardware can take time dilation into account.
