    Rear Admiral Chiraneau (46)

    Predator (3)

    Gunner (5)

    Rebel Captive (3)

    Ysanne Isard (4)

    Engine Upgrade (4)

    Darth Vader (29)

    Veteran Instincts (1)

    Advanced Targeting Computer (1)

    Engine Upgrade (4)

    TIE/x1 (0)

    Total: 100

Vader is the ultimate ace. He's easier to take down without Palpatine to support him, but you fly him cautiously as a flanker. If they go for Vader, it means your Decimator has that much more time to smash face with its absurd action efficiency and buzzsaw attacks.

If they go after the Decimator first, it can get away with its insane speed while Vader gobbles them up from the rear. Both ships are very formidable, even without Palpatine.

Oh man, buzzsaw Rear Admiral Chiraneau would be even better with Hotshot Copilot, but the points aren't there... Maybe trade Engine Upgrade?

That's tough. RAC, really, really needs engine. Think I would drop Ysanne before that.

I'd drop Gunner for HotCop, and use the extra point to give Vader Lone Wolf so he's a little tougher.

  2. Seems like Vader and Decis are getting a lot of pull. So that is something to try for sure. I especially like the idea of RAC with HSCP.

What else we got? Anything not Deci or Tie Adv. based? Seems to get extremely difficult beyond that.

6-TIE BSP+Howl swarm, all with Snap Shot? Maybe Juke on Howl.

With how much of a bumping furball the swarm gets into, they might as well have 3-4 extra ships firing, and Howl's still useful in combat/.

  3. It's expensive, but I have to wonder about the synergy between Hotshot Copilot and Sensor Jammer on VI Whisper. She's shooting early, so whoever she's shooting spends their focus before they could use it on their SJ-modified result.

Not going to hit as hard as the usual FCS version but 4 dice is no joke.

  4. I kind of want to see it as an Extra Munitions variant.

missile slot, 1pt, add 1 ordnance token to each equipped <bomb> upgrade, you may drop bombs from the front guides of your ship using the 5-<forward> template.

Actually, why the heck didn't they reference-card Extra Munitions to define token function off the card?

There's some neat effects that could use EM, like "when you perform an attack from a <torpedo> or <missile> secondary weapon, you may discard 1 ordance token to acquire a target lock on the defender"

  5. I think a space bomb would be great in this game. A bomb that moves speed 2 or 3 every turn at the start of the combat step and hits the first thing it or the template cross over.

I just want to see an adaption of the bomb rules in Veterans - drop bombs with a 5-forward.

In the game's abstraction, torps and missiles hit same turn, really no reason bombs shouldn't be able to coast 2 range bands in that time.

  6. I can't see any competitive build that would require even 1 primed thruster

it's a nice upgrade, but since it doesn't factor directly into action efficiency it won't be super necessary for competitive play. Even on ships where it could be really nice (Tie/SF), there are still alternatives in cards such as Tie/mk2

only place I can see it being very nice is the Quadjump (troll block master Plutt)

in casual play, I can't see any reason to not just proxy the card instead of slapping down hard earned money for it. As long as you have the exact rules text, you're golden

bonus points if you take the time to draw your own alt art for the card ;)

PTL+BB-8 enabling is okay I guess.

  7. Yeah, but don't forget, they still get the extra green dice. You win out slightly based on the probabilities of the different dice

Considering how much success I've gotten from Zuckuss (and without FCS, I run Sensor Jammer), I think the probability is worth it.

Shoot, Trick Shot on Zuckuss with AdvS and the title/tractor feels like it should work really well. Not that that's a PWT.

  8. Punisher needs Reinforce. Cost is totes seat-of-pants, but something like this:

[Mod] Chaff Ejector (2pts) (TIE Punisher only. Once per round when defending, if you have a <torpedo> or <missile> secondary weapon equipped, assign 1 reinforce token to your ship.)

Once the magazines are empty it stops working, could otherwise be more expensive. It's specific to secondary weapon cards so that you can't just use Extra Munitions to satisfy it, though I guess you could hold XX-23s forever.

  9. Except that they're losing all that because they aren't allowing it.

What? All reports (prior to the rumor of renewed interest) were that a big consideration was that twitter is a toxic free-fire zone that'll damage any brand its attached to.

That's delving into the whole free speech debacle. Yes, it might be better in the short term to remove a disruptive voice from a group, but then you open up the can of worms "what's disruptive?" I think both sides have merit and their own share of problems. In this case, I'd rather deal with a disruptive voice I can either tune out or confront then worry about one day being considered "disruptive" for sharing my opinion.

That is a bit of a pessimist answer, I'll admit, but it is how I feel on the subject. I can understand if you feel different and encourage that.

You haven't thought this through. Literally every community has standards, unspoken or otherwise, and everyone knows that repeated or significant violation of those standards will have negative social consequences, and everyone is okay with this. The only point of contention is what exactly the standards should be.

Only a handful of absolutists will argue, for instance, that if you repeatedly make crude sexual remarks to your boss about your boss's spouse you shouldn't be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination. And I'm sure you can furnish your own examples, in the workplace or in any community you choose.

If you're leading into "free speech is okay, but..." then this is a pointless conversation. Good day.

  10. I feel like the title would be a better place to put the "can equip Imperial Crew" bit, with a 3- or 4-point limit?

0-0-0 and BT-1 for the other named pilots, with idk, "Rimworld Explorer" or something for the generic?

Should probably have 2 turret slots, but idk on cannon slot, Scum already have a lot of that (and the stats for this feel too much like "Firespray with more hull and slots", which could do with differentiation).

How about 3V/1/5/6, with Focus/TL/SLAM, Turret/Turret/Illicit/Crew/Crew, and a dial like:

    5.
    4.
    3. _/_/W/_/_
    2. _/W/G/W/_
    1. R/G/G/G/R
    0. R

  11.

    ^It's Coordinate, not Reinforce.

Dammit. You're right, I got my icons confused. Coordinate isn't bad but reinforce would have been awesome.

Holding out for Punisher/Phantom aces pack. Coordinate is really good on this thing though, given it's essentially remote AdvS that can get some really weird things out of existing aces.

  12.

    ....

The ship itself really feels like it would be great in epic but less so in 100-points. Maybe use it in an Escalation tournament?

Uh oh, we are already starting to say it will be "good in epic"

The Upsilon is tier 2, confirmed already.

This is yet another reason official tournaments need to move to 120 point lists. That's the only way this behemoth has a chance.

Generally I find most large ships are fast but can't turn for toffee. There are exceptions like the Aggressor which was known for doing very fast turns, but that is more of a large interceptor than a crate.

Shuttles, Firesprays, and YV-666s I grant you. Tell that to the ships with 1-hards turns, like the YT-1300, YT-2400, Jumpmaster, Aggressor though ...

Well the Aggressor was meant to be able to do silly maneuvers due to the fact that the pilot wasn't living so it had a lot of the inertia safeties turned off. The Jumpmaster has a red 1 turn in one direction, but again was the ship of a Bounty hunter and not particularly slow, it was really a pursuit craft... The YT-1300 and YT-2400 suffer from more or less being the Falcon and Outrider which were very maneuverable. I always wish the ships had been more average with  really expensive titles.. maybe a red 1-turn with the title making it white.

TBH I wish they had also had 2/1/6/4 on all the YT-1300 ships, and then multiple expensive titles, so the Falcon would have brought it up to the standard stats. There are so many semi-famous YT-1300 you could have had 3 or 4 unique titles.

I kind of wish we'd get more "bog" large ships in general, the way we have plenty of small ships that don't really have an iconically titled version, but it doesn't seem to fit the way they want to sell large ships.
