Yup - it appears the renderer broke during upload, too - I'm on it.

Yes, sort of.
I don't feel right using graphics that I don't have permission to use. I will probably take some time to start creating some graphics of my own, but that takes time and a lot of effort that I don't necessarily want to expend. I welcome people to submit their own images for their or even other people's designs. (If you notice there is a filter for some of the content categories for "Needs Art" that way, if you want, you can email the maker of a card and say 'here, put this graphic on it').

Oh yeah, no: I don't even want to come close to making it look like the official cards.
And that is totally one thing that I lack when it comes to my web skills: Mobile Devices. And really, the primary point is the printing system anyways.

Greetings folks,
For those who are impatient - here's the link: Kuat Drive Yards
For the last month or so, I've been working on this little web-based app and it is FINALLY done (though still in Beta as it were). Basically it's a database for fan-made Armada content - it lets you create cards for custom Ships, Squadrons, Objectives, Damage Cards, and Upgrades.
It can also let you print out both Fancy and Printer-friendly version of the cards and dials that you make. For those of you who happen to have a Silhouette Cameo or Portrait, you can download a cutter file that will let you cut out the cards you print with extreme accuracy. Now, the cards that get made are of my own style, so that they are NEVER confused with official cards.
Guests can only view the database.
Users that register can create their own ships / cards and print any cards that are on the site.
I'm going to be inviting a few members of the community to become "Contributors" who can post articles as well as create custom expansions.
Bear in mind that I've only just finished coding this, so it's still in "Beta". If you find any bugs, help a brother out and let me know.

Sure you don't want to wait until I get the 600 dpi version to you?

I need to get a 2nd damage deck. Debating on $50 core or just watching EBay. Would like to be able to get another player able to us my stuff.
I found the second core set to be worth it.

There is an unwritten rule that Imperial ships need to be symmetrical, which that model breaches.
Never seen that one before, but sure, why not.

Look, man, it's not my fault that the Hiigaran Battlecruiser would make a bad-ass rebel ship, too.
Spent some time thinking about this yesterday - Homeworld ships (for the most part) don't have shields and rely on mass drivers as a main part of their weapons systems (which aren't terribly effective against SW shields). So it'd look great and then die.
*sigh* I will rephrase:
It's not my fault that the aesthetic of the Hiigaran Battlecruiser would fit in well with the aesthetic of the Rebel Fleet.

I just got into Armada (still looking for a local group to play with) and I have only bought on wave 2 expansion. I'd like to get a solid selection together before wave 3 gets announced, if only to give my bank account a break.
Still waiting for the Rebel Fighter pack to come back into stock so I can get a second set of those.

There could be more than just Golan platforms: Fighting over a Shipyard, or Mining Station or a Mining Operation in an asteroid belt. More terrain of all sorts would be kickass.

got my third CR-90 yesterday. Already painted up. Again, poorer quality of photo than I like, but oh well.

Also, the red is not nearly as saturated in person.

Alright, I haven't had a chance to playtest any of the concepts yet, but winter break is still young. I do have some quick notes.
For the Lucrehulk, that is so large as to easily be a part of the (still-)theoretical "dreadnought" ship type, an experiment unfortunately still on hold from last semester. This semester should be at least a little more conducive to that. If you're curious message me or search the thread. Or wait. I'll get to it eventually.
For CIS aces, keeping digging back a few pages and you should have a selection of ace ideas and CIS fighter squadrons not already carded. You are welcome to take those out for a spin. Page 47 specifically, with Page 48 detailing conceptual specs for the Geonosian Pinnace, christened Uhlan class, and the Wavecrest frigate. Neither of those have been too seriously looked at, so give them a once-over yourself. (Also look at the note about Ventress.)
On one final note tonight, I have gotten in a bit of play with the new Imperial class. I feel quite confident saying that the Venator, especially as built, is a large ship. Providence can join it, but the Recusant should stay medium. I'll elaborate more tomorrow if folks are interested. G'night
I look forward to seeing your ideas in practice. I've asked Mel a few questions about how they do some 3d Models via PM (some technical stuff, spacing between and height of panels). Let me know if you need another 3D Modeller.

There's some of those out in the wild, both in Imperial and Republic livery. **** sexy either way.I would love to see a Venator or two, myself.
*sigh*'course, I'd also love to see a Lucrehulk, but I haven't seen any out yet.
Alas, those are just too large to be practical, so they won't be part of the Shipyards Clone Wars set. Maybe further down the line...
That is understandable, but simultaneously a shame. Personally, I don't care that much about proper scaling, but I get that other people do.

Is there a Clone Wars ship anyone wants to see some paint on? I am itching for a project now that the Liberty is almost done.

Wtf is the superdome doing on that things starboard side?
I have no idea, but I really like how it looks.

Anyone see any neat designs lying around that you wouldn't mind seeing in game as a homebrew model? (Make sure to credit!) I'll gladly go first.

I applaud your brush control on that CR90. What's your secret?

I would snap up some sort of campaign/mission supplement. That is one thing i feel is lacking in the game. They need to tie the game to the setting a little more.
I Would LOVE a cohesive campaign system. I'm waiting for Rebellion to come out to see if they are in any way compatible with some tweaking.

Hell, it may not be a bad idea for FFG to add some expansions that aren't minis, some sort of micro-expansions. Just some upgrades and new objectives and a single board of relevant tokens.
-
I'd really love to learn how to take non-crappy photos...
D503, Norsehound - here be my attempt at a wash (bottom is "before", top is "after")

Listened to the first podcast during work today - Very enjoyable. Looking forward to seeing more

As a matter of fact:

I actually used a copper in the same way you used your gold on the CR-90s, but looking at it now, you are completely right: they came out a bit glaring:

I'm afraid I don't have any nuln oil lying around and my bank account is a bit stretched until next month. I will probably experiment with using a very diluted warm black and see what happens.
For those not in the know: here's what inspired this theme.

Noted on both counts - I'll get it fixed in a second - Having to update the back-end renderer at the moment.
