I really like the new one - it's the direct opposite of Bomber. I'll be adding it to KDY shortly.

That's it, that's it. By Odin's eyeball, I'm going to just spam every wave-3 thread with lyrics to 1970s pop songs until everyone's metaphorical ears bleed.

How about them local sports team?
Lions lost awhile ago. Red Wings are doing well. Yours?
I'm from New Jersey, all my times are universally reviled, when they are even OUR teams and not New York's.
The team I root for though? Arsenal seems to be having a good season, especially against Sunderland. Kinda irked that they tied with both liverpool and southhams though.

One of my 12-year-old daughters is getting into Armada. She likes to play the Rebel side, and I wanted to get another ship to help off-set some recent additions I've made to the Empire. I was at my FLGS and Lyraeus was there, so I asked him whether I should get the MC30c or the Assault Frigate Mark II. He recommended the latter, because it is forgiving of people who fly a bit on the erratic yet enthusiastic side.
I get home, pull it out of the bag, and show it to her. She clapped enthusiastically and said, "A Deadly Nightshade Tuber!!!"
Nicknames like The Whale and Space Potato are so 2015.
What other nicknames do people have for this odd-looking creature?
Great story, your daughter is cool, but, um, why is she well versed in one of the most deadly plants on the planet? What are you people doing with your spare time?

You are asking a person who has a daughter who is well versed in poisonous botany to explain themselves... I question the wisdom of this decision...

If you go to the Print Queue, there is already a "token sheet", but it does print out one page per token. Let me run some magic tomorrow and see if I can condense it to one page. (Also going to eventually get around to faction tokens, too, because why not)

What did you use to add the bits onto the CR-90?

As the creator of Decoy, I have played it a few times. It basically pans out as being roughly equal to a brace. I don't know if it will be everyone's cup of tea, but it can be a lot of fun. I'm looking forward to other folks giving it a shot.

I like everything about Large-X except the name, but I can't think of another term "Autonomous X" is too wordy...
btw, going to repost my thoughts on cloak here.
I'm not opposed to the idea of generic squadrons having defense tokens - in fact, I like breaking molds in that way - however, my only concern is table-logistics. We can achieve the same mechanics of a scatter token without using an actual scatter token.
Cloak: Once per turn, if you have not made an attack this turn, you may cancel all attack dice against you from a single attack. -
I tend to go back and forth, Nickvar. A black basecoat is sometimes just so much effort to go back to straight up pale grey with thin paints.
But I keep wondering if a liquid mask would just settle and make my life that much easier. I'm still not great at lines so that's something too. “it is unavoidable, it is your destiny.”Lets see what I can do, Cynan. I'll try to get a direct shot when I get the chance but I've got two fairly close pictures on hand. Since then, the only change has been blocking in colours for the engines.

Red Dwarf, D503... why did I not ask earlier? That is awesome -laughs- I've been calling it project Red Oktober

I've been really considering a lot of full colour ship schemes lately Gottmituns, They look surprisingly good and I really had suspected they would seem 'off' But I guess they work fine for the Republic era, right? .
And for my new contribution of the day .

Like I was saying to Zen yesterdy, it's not fair that a model could be so fun to paint -and- be so good on the tabletop. It can't be, there has to be some rule against it. Gah, now I want to buy a few more Rogues and Villains sets just to paint more firesprays, and I'm firmly committed to replacing them with my Assault Gunboats in-game! These fiddly little things are awesome. The mold lines kinda suck, but the windscreen is just big enough that you can do great layering on them, and the lines are actually really good. Yep, love 'em.
I have 3 AF2s sitting here. Can I just ship them to you and have you mod them, because this looks amazing.

As an aside, I'm more or less back, but I still have tons of stuff to catch up with, so please bear with me and forgive my inability to respond to pending messages - especially you FoaS! Thanks for your awesome efforts, as soon as things are a bit more stable I'd love to work with you and see how much further a collaboration plan can take our projects

I'm totally down, and take your time. I'm at your disposal

Still lets you move around, but the benefit is negated if you've made an attack this turn. Encourages a "wait and see" approach to a cloaked ship, which fits.
Thoughts?

Hey Cynan, I don't suppose you have an Xg-1 Starwing silhouette lying around, do you?
-
I haven't decided what I want to do with Huge Bases, yet. Truthfully, it'll be a lot of work on my end because of the Arc System I had to build. I kind of want to see what FFG does about it, first, but if enough people nudge me (and can come to a consensus on what 'huge' ship bases should be sized as), I'll consider a large base.

Aren't we all?

-
I was thinking about this, too, as prompted by the Mobquet - I think it might make sense to have the option.
-
Cool beans, I wasn't ragging on you, just wasn't sure if you'd missed it.
-
After sleeping on it, that's what I'll go with. Changes to some of my objective bonus cards as well as the first post as soon as I get home.

Fixed the bug and also delete the ship version of those three (I don't see the lambda in the squadron sil list though)
-
Looks like you have some sils in the Ship Sils that should be Squad Sils: The Lambda, the DX-9, and the ATR-6.
-
I can accept your word on it - I think he'd yell at you when it came back otherwise

I'll get started on doing some silhouettes and rendering tonight.
Also going to be adding faction tokens and MAYBE adding the ability to have custom squadron markers, too. (the ones that you can slot into pegs)
-
I would definitely prefer that DA add DA's stuff.
The only other alternative that I will accept is, and DA has to sign off on this publically, is that someone could add items from the shipyards, and then when DA creates an account, I can transfer ownership of all the items to him - but that's logistically annoying - we're better off waiting for him to return.
EDIT:
I have a copy of 3ds Max handy and I might be looking into grabbing 3d Models from games like SWG. So, if I can get the importer working right, I will be able to quickly generate both renders of fighters and silhouettes. I'm not much of a 3d modeler these days, so I'm not going to offer that particular skill.

I've been pondering doing something like that instead of perma-death. Or perhaps a two-stage death, where they are "Injured" for 3 rounds, if they "die" while they are "Injured" they are dead dead.

One more thing!
I've changed the way the high-res cards look for titles and commanders. I was thinking about doing something different for officers too, but I decided against it.
