Still use Minitaire almost exclusively, but the thickness of them are a bit inconsistent (some are too thin to easily handle, even in an airbrush). One day I'll graduate to vallejo.

My gods I want three... what scale of ISD is the original model? Are all those addon models by Mel and how much did they run you? Basically, if I were to decide to follow suit and make one as well, what am I looking at financially for that investment for just the parts?

I do wish that they'd gone for a slightly different scaling curve, though. I think the size of the ISD hampers what larger ships are practical to bring to the table. If the math were yay the CR90 was about it's current size and the ISD were about 70% it's current size, I'd be a happier camper.

There are a couple of options there, actually - Inkscape I think has a Trace Bitmap feature - Illustrator's is better, but Illustrator is expensive whereas Inkscape is free. Another option that I can look at is actually converting them over in batch using a PHP script and IMagick - they would have to be reviewed by us, but at least the heavy lifting would already be done. This would have to wait until I hit a certain milestone on the API, of course (which I'm getting back on the horse on soon).

*shrug* I've no interest in legion. I've had my fill of army games, and I don't think it will replace Armada. I'm willing to give it another few weeks of no news before I start to get uppity about lack of Armada news.

So.. how I would've done it (and might be how I do it on the FoaS edition, if that ever gets off the ground). Is "Experimental Refit" on the interdictor would've been replaced with "Gravity Well" upgrade slot. I would have then put "Advanced Technology Refit" on First Order and Resistance Ships to signify their advancement.

That's my thinking. Chances are anywhere that could have built the Venator can build the ISD, so it'd be stupid to not make use of that already-existing infrastructure.

There is no way that all isds are built at kuat, I think it fits that the nextest biggest shipyard is in corellia. That's Solo's homeworld, and probably had to deal with the economic shadow of that as a kid, like growing up next to a military base, so it makes sense that them being "big ships from corellia" makes sense.

I maintain that the victory could is a good candidate for system defense and commerce regulation enforcement. It explains also why the CSA also has do many. That being said, I think the victory, as the cnc vessel, would be supported by smaller and faster ships, like the arquitens for interception. I think the bulk cruiser are actually contracted private security firms... Bought pirates, if we're being honest.

Or neb-Bs if you subscribe to the idea that they used to be imperial ships. Even victories or vindicators work for the idea of area enforcement ships.

I'm not that great at ship design. Squadrons are more my thing. That being said, I see the Maxima as a gladiator/arq hybrid. Well rounded dice pool with a slight bias towards red. Lemme think on it some.

I have added @Wes Janson's version of Cloak back in to KDY (it is the same thing as the current Evasive keyword, but I like this as a cloak more than the official one). I've also added SLAM as a keyword, which is the exact same thing as the official cloak keyword. (I'm sure this is confusing, but this is what I've chosen to do :P)

Armada Shipyards is DA's site. I'm all about custom content, but I follow what other's have said. It's not surprising that there isn't any armada news, sad as it makes me. I do think that a community edition could and would be fun, but I don't think that we're at the point where where the community edition needs to take the reins, yet.
