  1. Overall, the list should be fun and tanky. Though I'd hesitate not spamming Squad Commands on the MC80. Leia can throw Repair in a pinch,but you might want to focus on positioning your bomber net more than anything else. I've been having a good time trying to get proficient with a similar build for the last couple of months. Over that time I've tried many variants, but have come up with a few things that are consistent. Beyond these core elements, there's a ton of points to mess with obviously. Lately, I've settled on a fully loaded Liberty dual role carrier/battleship and like the front firing synergy with Yavaris. I messed with unique squads, but seem to be liking a high quantity of generic B Wings over all else. Right now, I've got 6 with support/escort. I've run this with Salvation, Gallant Haven, Defiance as well and have fun with them all. Garm is also worth looking at. Whatever ship you add, they should at a minimum have FCT to keep those squads flowing where you need them.   2. I tried a Liberty variant that was fun. This all started with Mothma's Angels and has gradually changed from Salvation-->Gallant Haven-->Defiance-->Liberty It's the longest I think I've stuck with a single concept and has been quite fun. Flight Commander and FCT makes all the difference. With B-wings and YT's being as mobile as X's it's just gross. Certainly better with this list for sure. The Liberty did well last night. It's nice having front fire for both damage dealers. Makes driving a bit easier. Faction: Rebel Alliance

  3. With Home One and Ackbar, I've been having quite a lot of fun with this: MC30 Torpedo with Ordinance Experts and Enhanced Armaments at a minimum. Flavor with IO or titles as points allow. Nice trickle damage at long range; can't ignore damage at medium; it hits like an ISD at close range. All at speed 3/4 if you like. 3 of them are real nice.
  4. Ok, whatever. You guys are turning this into an unnecessarily negative exchange. I agree with the reading you've presented and have simply said, I can see how someone would want clarification. That's absolutely no reason to call people lazy or ludicrous. I'm dropping out at this point.
  5. Then it is up to them to justify their position, as ludicrous as it is: "So, if the squadron moves, at all, ever, during the game, then Yavaris doesn't work, right?" I don't understand the need to denigrate the questioner as ludicrous. It is a reasonable question when the squadron does move during the activation, despite your absurd example of 'at all, ever'.

  7. By the way, how sure are we that this works as we're assuming? It came up tonight with an opponent who hadn't seen it yet. I quoted the gospel of the boards, and he went with it, but said he wanted to see what popped up in the FAQ. Has there been anything official?

  12. My search fu sucks apparently, I can't find what I'm looking for. Ideas for two fun, not overly upgraded rebel fleets for a 200-300 pt game? I don't have any Imp stuff, but have the following: 2 Mc80s 2 Libs 3 Guppies 3 Nebs 3 mc30s 4 Vettes 2 reb squad packs 4 of Reb rogues I'm working on some ideas myself, but always appreciate the brains and ideas on the forum.
  13. I want the Liberty to dance with them. Without Madine, I've found it to be a bit of a tub. But yes, no reason not to swap out and give Mothma a shot as well.

  16. Dude/tte. Seriously? I played at least 8 games last weekend and won one. Draws and losses all around for the rest, and I had a blast doing it. Well, except for getting rammed to death by a Liberty sitting on the station with engine techs. That was cheesy. Anyway, the game is changing and that is exciting to me. Everything you listed has a counter/tactic to combat it. And, I also don't know how it's possible Konstantine was affecting speed on round 2. In another thread, I thought a 2 Interdictor fleet could be **** near game-breaking, but I'm still going to figure out how to beat it. I just have to get better.   17. With this list, I was really pleased. I ran Yavaris and Salvation side by side in a slow roll for the most part, so that is 4 red, then 5 red with Salvations effect. That's a lot of red coming at you, and i hope it will push opponents even more to the flanks where my bombers are waiting. Plus it's nice to be able to poop 3 reds instead of two if someone is on your tail.I also prefer them over Slaved turrets because that red and blue give a little boost as well from the side. I don't like only one attack from a ship in general.
  18. I came to the same conclusion yesterday. Sometimes that extra range can make a huge difference.
  19. I think we're in total agreement on the capital ships. It's the squads and objectives I want to keep looking at. I was tempted to drop Leia for Adar, but with Slicers out there, I'd like a little safety net for squad commands not getting overly screwed with. On the objectives... I played with Precision Strike today and felt it was too mutually beneficial to my opponent. I'm going to try Most Wanted and not worry about losing Dodonna or an 18 pt GR75. The other two... I'm worried about Interdictors messing with obstacles and tokens.
  20. My other thought, was maybe sacrificing some bid and adding Dutch at the expense of the generic X-wing, but that little sucker saved my bacon at least once by keeping 2 XWings and Luke pinned for two turns.
  21. Do tell more. . .Just posted in Fleet Builds. It's Dodonna for me though. The points saved gives me more opportunity to choose first or second, and I'm wondering if my variant doesn't like going second more. But I'll leave that discussion for the other thread.
