As I'm Rebel only, I know I'm going to see her a lot for awhile and have been thinking up some tactics, but I think she's going to be a real ball buster.
Counter ideas so far...
-Ewings to take out Intel fast so they can be pinned.
-Ten Numb
-Walex
-Generics rather than a ton of named squads so Token stripping is less effective
-Fingers crossed that that as yet mystery card is an AA boost
-finding room for AF2s and Neb Escorts with double AA
-Toryn to make those blues more effective
-PDR or QLT? Ugh.
-Flechettes don't really have a great platform for Rebels ATM, so...
What are y'all's thoughts?

Ever tried to fly a LMC80 without Madine?

This is about creating an actual task force which has your largest base ship in the center with your commander with all your other ships having their jobs to do. Nothing changes in that aspect.
How about you don't worry about telling people how to play?
This is about playing a game however I see fit according to existing rules. I won't be forced to put a commander anywhere.

Love all the changes.
surely, a big part of rhymes nerf had to do with Sloane?

I couldn't care less about reenacting storylines or these airy fairy comments about the game not feeling like Star Wars. I love flotillas, and Rhymer and Demo and every other awesome combo that comes into the game. To me it doesn't need balance at all but I love the new options they bring out and I can't wait for the new wave so I can get my hands on some new options.
But that's just my perspective, and its one that's only shared by the top players of any given competition which means that it's a small portion of our gaming pyramid. For the rest of you who don't think like me the best option is to look for internal balance options, limit the flotillas, Rhymers and Demos, enforce restrictions to squadrons or Reikan, whatever it takes to make the game enjoyable for you. Stop waiting for FFG to fix it for you and be grown up gamers who can sort your own business.
Cool.

It's like my nightmare come true... ?
But seriously, looks solid and like @BrobaFett, I anticipate similar combos for the foreseeable future.
Luckily these two guys are my best friends right now.

I've played a variant of this without Salvation (with another Comms Net GR75). I see the purpose of Salvation (to protect the nose of the pickle with some heavier front arc fire), but you lose bid. To make up for it I had my GR75s ready to block, thereby preserving some points for a bid.
You really want to bid aggressively to get 1st player (mine was 18 points) That's what can make the hammer hit hardest.
i also went the Jan, Biggs ball route to make sure I could tie up squads. And my bomber layout was Nora, Gold, and 2 Bs (ISD melting goodness).
its a one trick pony, but it is awesome to see when that one trick works.

It's ok buddy.

Oooo Sexy!
ET is tempting to put back on, but a 10 point bid isn't going to guarantee 2nd.
Unless I go generic on one of the A's and drop DCO...hm.
Gonna keep testing this one. And the other list, and the other one ?

I had to do the unthinkable (odd # of squads), but what if I just drop the Pelta altogether....?
with only 2 Bs, FCT can keep them moving along with the others

Whoops! Yeah, I think XI7s instead...

Based on the comments (thanks for all the feedback, btw) I've made the following mods. I'll run both variants and see how they compare.
Dropped a Bwing to add some more offensive power in squads. Dropped H9s to make room for Adar, dropped Raymus thinking I'd bank a token in round 1, for one use of AFFM and blow the card for a 2nd use.
Crits!

As far as the red objectives...
Most wanted may be your best bet, seconded by Advanced Gunnery.
I had a terrible experience with Blockade Run and tend to avoid it because the play area gets cut in half and Imperials can just concentrate so much firepower in your reduced path. Close Intel you don't really have enough Acc generators to make it effective.
-
I really like this list.
With the caveat that it's going to risky with no fighter support to really speak of, I think it'd be fun to play.
-
I'm looking to move up the board in competitive play.
It seems to come down to those big wins, related to either racking up points on objectives, or by atomizing the opposing Fleet, or outlasting due to healing/hull.
Excluding Rieekan and MSUs, I've been working on fleets that'll get those big wins. There's the Dodonna Token Grabber as one possibility, and then there is this heavy bomber list.
One issue seems to be that I know I'll be sacrificing along the way, which is probably unavoidable, but also costly. For example, with the fleet below, I know Yavaris and Bright Hope will probably die (that's about 100 points).
I'm interested in any feedback from the board. Besides struggling with high activations, the typical MSU, Rieekan, Aceholes, and dedicated AS lists - where is this list deficient? I feel like it has the chops to hit hard on 2 fronts, at least.

is cracken you think the best commander? I suppose it does help every ship but one. Better than madine or ackbar?
I think Cracken is a place holder. Could be easily replaced, but he's fun.

There in lies the problem.
i don't know what other objectives would push someone to take Intel scan as the least worst choice.

Anyone else a tad worried about Sloane?

Gallant Haven with Walex on a AF2 is sounding good to lead the charge.
