"Six wires..." Soryn mutters to himself, "What colour and order..." Assessing it quickly, Soryn looks back to Kor, hearing him giving instructions to Tessrah regarding the way to reconnect the system. "Cut orange... And blue. But not yellow. Right. I really hope he knows what he's doing." With a silent prayer, Soryn snips the wires...
Mechanics check to reroute ship systems: 2eA+1eB+2eD 2 successes -
I'll do that mechanics now team.
-
-
Just stuck in meetings at work so bear with me, I'll be able to post up rolls shortly.
-
Maybe he could have had a stroke of luck when rerouting things and managed to overcompensate on the inertial dampeners, allowing the somewhat solid bumps to not throw us around as much while we work?
-
Picking himself up for the third time in less than thirty minutes, the now rather grim Pau'an replies, "Barely, Kor, but thank you for your concern. I am very much looking forward to being back on solid ground." Gauging the mess of wires, lights and buttons in front of him, Soryn continues, "And I believe I will need a crash course in system wiring. Wait, that was a poor choice of words... My apologies!"

I have not chosen the best teacher for mechanics XD -
"Whatever you need. Though I don't know which end of a hydrospanner does what... So any tutelage would be lovely," the gaunt Pau'an replies while following Kor.
-
"Of course, and good luck on whatever it is you have planned," he intones as they race back to the engineering section of the ship, this time thankfully not being thrown around. Once they arrive, and the other two begin working, Soryn waits at the door, noting the exchange and suppressing a lecture, for now. "Right, I'll just watch the door then, in case anything has already made it inside," Soryn says at a normal volume, before dropping his voice to a murmur, "Please, by all means, flirt while potentially blowing the engines up..."

It's not that I necessarily want to bypass it. Just do it when we're not bouncing off cliffsides or going full tilt through a canyon haha!
BTW I believe unless these are rivals there is no opposed athletics only a discipline check for the power use Rakaydos 3 setback seems stiff as well but the check success with a triumph
Don't you have to have Hurl to aggressively negotiate enemies away from things? I thought it was the talent required to do an opposed check in the first place. Not that I mind, throwing droids is a national sport on Utapau...
-
The counslar ship isnt wired to route power through the hull. Lets call it Formidable with an upgrade (3 purple, 1 red) and disadvantage makes it take more time
What about making the Shields do like an EMP type burst? Mess with the electronics of anything between the hull and a certain range from it? I.e. 1 metre? Would that ease the check at all?
-
I'd say using a Mechanics roll to rout power from the engines to the exterior might be best. It should fry them.
And it will hopefully slow us down some, as I think the Clones are a little too pedal happy

-
I just don't want to risk people precariously positioning themselves for swinging sabers when we might manage to cope til landing with clever use of ship systems. Falling to a splattery death is not a fun way to go!
-
Did someone say athletics? I can do that. Difficulty?
Same as the piloting check- 3 reds at full throttle, dropping reds to purples if the ship goes slower.
Is it possible to have someone reroute power from the engines into the electronics to fry and Buzz Droids that try to cripple the ship? I can't think of many ways to stop them without risking falling out of a frigate or using Force Move to dislodge them, as I don't know if any of us have the Hurl upgrade?
-
"Words are my weapon, Kor, as much as is possible. And I disdain nothing except wasted potential," he retorts with a grin to match the Cerean's chuckle. Nodding to Tessrah, he relaxes somewhat, allowing the living Force in. "Quite right. Now, how does one go about stopping them before they enter the ship and go to work on vital systems?"
-
I have seen far too many attempts at combat on the exterior of ships to think it's anywhere near a good idea to try that haha!
-
Expect lectures from the uptight Pau'an on the whole "attachments are bad" if he sees more of the lovey-dovey eyes

-
"Ah, the fundamentalist form," the Pau'an replies, somewhat dry in his response, "Very good. I do hope there are not many, things will get rather messy in such a tight space. Do be careful not to hit us now, won't you?"
-
Both Tesserah and Soryn know where they are, at least in our section of the ship.
-
Wew lad. First roll and a Triumph on the Perception check.
-
"Please excuse my interruption," Soryn says to the pair as he strides into the room, another bruise no doubt forming from where he bounced off a bulkhead after the jolt. The ship continues to shudder and the sound of metal groaning under the forces of gravity is a clear reminder they are still very much in danger. "I was hoping we would land before having to engage in combat, but I believe the droids that are currently on the exterior of the ship are ready to make their way to the interior with no real regard for our flight plan. You two are trained in which forms?"
Perception check to find Buzz Droids (-1 Setback for Keen Eyed): 1eP+2eA+2eD+1eS 1 success, 1 threat, 1 Triumph -
**** those dice were not happy with you. So many fails on the reds!
-
I would only help to crash the ship, Shy, but I believe in you!

Done. Nothing exploded. Two successes.
I hope we land soon. This is harrowing as heck!
Also yes. Break out the 1m ruler, we need to have them that far apart at all times.
