Go ahead mate. I'm gonna be picking myself up off the floor/precarious position. Dunno about boosts though.
-
So we're top of the combat round?
-
I think it's time for a new piloting check. Iron I think for the most part we can handle the beasts for now.
Next round: Soryn falls out the open door. Kor gets maimed. Shad gets knocked out and is dangling from a rope out the back. Tess is surrounded by man bat things. Nimara bonds with them and becomes their king. Clones eject. Dera is the galaxy's last hope.
The Shy Ion and Shlambate reacted to this -
Should I come down there and heal y'all? XD
Edit: What's the piloting difficulty this round? We hit the shield this turn, right?
I think getting the ship parked safely is key. If it gets proper crazy I can drag people to you. So far I think Shad has taken the most wounds at 4.
Is Kor the only one who can't hit these things!
Don't worry mate, in a campaign I've been a part of a guy is throwing 4 yellow dice against 2 purple and missing almost every attack. Just luck being luck!

Looks like I didn't take any, just got knocked on my ass over the whole long way to the ground thing

Psh, it's just a green screen and a big fan.
The special effects budget on this film is huge!

Yeah so I'm hoping to leverage poor footing, even for weird manbat creatures and have this one stumble and fall out, since it can't really drop anything in hand (yet).
-
Oh, how easy! Alright, I'll post that in too. Wish me luck!
Got 11...
11-15 Sudden Jolt Drop whatever is in hand
Can the one I hit lose purchase on the floor and be forced to fly back outside? -
Does anyone know how to roll D100 on Orokos?
-
Haha yes! A challenge right out of the gate. Loving it!
Updated my IC post to reflect the lack of damage. -
I feel like we got the bad batch of Clones. I look forward to drilling them into a well oiled fighting and piloting machine. Then having them die due to terrible rolls right when we need them most.
The Shy Ion and Shlambate reacted to this -
Nice! Hopefully they pass so we don't have a horrible battle compounded by freefalling.
I've already had someone request to be caught if they fall
Soryn will do his best - and then hold it over people that he's better after a clear measure of skill has been shown between the Padawans. -
-
I've activated a crit regardless - also just realized Lareg passed me a boost. Damnit work! Next person can have that or we can give a setback to the creatures. Whichever you want! I won't be back for about an hour now sorry, got to head into a meeting.

The wind howling through the cargo bay pushed against Soryn, but long practice had him fall into a fencing stance without thought. His left hand reaches down, finding the simple lightsaber hanging at his belt, and he begins to move forward as he unhooks it, the snap-hiss of the blue blade igniting almost lost in the cacophony of screaming wind and growling beasts. Drawing upon the Force, Soryn finds the right places to step, avoiding cables whipping around his legs and anticipating the movement of the ship as it rolls. He raises the saber in front of his face in a classic duelist salute, before holding it out, parallel to the ground, and lunging with a vicious thrust toward one of the draconid creatures.
Maneuver - Move one Range Band to Engaged
Maneuver - Draw Lightsaber (2 strain taken for extra Maneuver)
Out of Turn Incidental - Sense Danger (Remove 2 Setback on next check)
Action - Attack with Lightsaber
Makashi Technique - Lunging Thrust against Draconid Creature: 2eP+2eA+2eD 2 successes, 2 advantage

Soryn's weapon finds purchase, but the scales of the creature turn it away at the last moment, almost fully deflecting the lightsaber's deadly blade!
Outcome - 8 damage (with Breach 1) and activating a Critical
Critical Hit roll: 1d100 11
Critical result - 11-15 Sudden Jolt: Drop whatever is in hand. -
Wait so they're minions? I.e. Crits can kill outright?
-
Well if we're following standard combat procedure:
Maneuver to draw weapon (unless you have quick draw)
Maneuver to engage (2 strain for second maneuver)
Action to hit -
Sweet - give me 5. I see Lareg has gone now too, just gotta edit what I've written. Cheers mate!
-
Yeah message me when you're done deciding mate, I am back at work so won't be as fast to reply here and don't want to hold people up. I have email notifications on tho!
-
Booyah! This is why I didn't tie myself down

Or do we get Dera to slam on the brakes and have them all slide closer to us; including the people holding onto things, so we can just hold out glowsticks and wait for the win? -
So the initiative order is Soryn, Shad, Kor, beasts, Tess, right?
It doesn't have to be. PC slots are interchangeable.
Well I'm gonna be the first one to attack if they are in range the roll got 1faliure and 4 advantage. So I give boost to the next PC check for one and give them a setback for one and can I give one more boost for two advantage to someone specifically?
Also it's usually better to just pass boosts unless you have a sweet narrative thing you want to rock with for why the beasts are getting setbacks. And I would be happy to go second, I feel like I have contributed so little to the crew IC as far as skills!
-
What range are the creatures at to us? Short, medium, long etc?
-
Yeeessss. Dice rolls are working towards the douchey elitism of Soryn.
-
Vigilance before Dragon Battle: 1eP+2eA+1eB 4 successes, 1 advantage

Watching the other Padawans grip and engage their lightsabers, Soryn waits. He lets the Force move through him, feeling that familiar sense of expanding perception and oneness with the universe. He feels the winged creatures arrive a moment before they do, four of them crawling into the opening ramp. His reactions are quick, quicker than his counterparts, but maybe not so fast as to beat the beasts.

Unfortunately, yes. But remember PC slots are interchangeable! The good thing is you're not yet caught up in this furball of a fight - you can choose when to enter it (or whether to throw things at the bats from the door).
Haha, hang on a second and I will see what I can do!
