Still reeling from the beatdown pt106 gave with his World's practice list! It's a doozy.

This has been a byproduct of the new objective choices. You can build such nasty fleet/objective combos that going first seems like a punishment.
Agreed, now that you can have 3 purposeful objectives to benefit Squadron heavy lists or strategic token shenanigans. Highest bid I saw at a local tournament in Boston yesterday was 6 points.

Keep in mind too the small sample size of ships available we have compared to Xwing and others. The Rebel Fleet has 8 ship chassis to choose from, stands to reason there will be 1-2 ships which are used more frequently than others. Like in just about FFG wave and subsequent FAQ, we will either get cheap options to hunt flotillas (super ram hammerheads?) or the relay mechanic will be nerfed.

That's a shame, a pinned post with resources such as that would a great addition to our forums. One stop shopping for new and experienced players alike, plus encourages community support! Having played X-Wing too, it seems FFG really thrives with all of the channels, blogs and other fan-made projects.

Is there a good list or thread out there for strategy blogs to read?

The Portal in Manchester, CT will be hosting a 400 point Armada tournament on Sunday, March 26th. The event will start at 12 pm with an entry fee of 5$.

That build could tank a ton of hits too, I really liked the synergy overall.

Round three at Nationals at Gencon with my CR-90 Swarm (first tournament ever), I bent over to measure blue dice range to the extremely close game winning shot against a Gladiator with one hull and no shields left...and knocked it over with my ID badge.

Biggsy wiggsy! The overall combination has been fantastic in our CT CC league

Transports with RLB are very, very fun to fly. I chased down Admonition/Madine with two of them, they make fantastic blockers in a pinch too. I hope it's a combo that catches on! Aggressive transport meta.

Ben's list was my favorite of the tournament. We played Blockade Run the second round. He flew it like a pro, you don't expect an MC-30 to make a full turn and blast a Corvette in one volley the last shot of the game! Great group of people and venue.

Can this post be stickied or pinned? Would be great to have a dedicated Regionals and championship result thread.

I think Armada is going at the perfect pace for releases. Gives enough time to get the new stuff and really enjoy it before the even newer ships come out. Xwing was my first FFG game and while I still love it, it's starting to get a little intimidating keeping up with all the new releases and upgrades.

Can't wait! I was there this week, looks like lots of elbow room and space on the tables.

Not sure if this was answered in the thread, but how would Rapid Launch Bays work with the Fighter Ambush special rule? Could you still set aside your ships for Rapid Launch bays or do you have to place the in the play area according to the card? Or should this be a separate thread?

Played against him 2nd round with my 5x ZR. Came down to the last and last shot miss on Manroo. He plays the list really well and it was an excellent game!

Let's be honest, many of the 4pt EPTs are overcosted in that the "cost" to use them is too high compared to the actual points cost. The examples of Opportunist and Expose present above are both excellent examples.
Especially with the best 4pt EPT in the game about to come out...

Interceptors, Awings, and Ties (basic ones) seem to have vanished from the meta.
And what happened with Snap Shot A's? I had thought they would be the next big thing this meta. I wonder if it was the cost of entry or the actual effectiveness of the list?

I'm big on flying 5x Cartel Marauders - it's entertaining and challenging. I'd love to see a title that emphasizes this type of play:
Title
0 Pts
Kihraxz Only
Gain one red die for every other friendly ship with Title that has the defender in arc, at range 1-3.
Gain one green die for every other friendly ship with Title that the defender has in arc, at range 1-3.
I think you could potentially strip the 'Kihraxz Only' line and put in something like 'PS3 or less' and allow it to be used on any ship. It could get a little ridiculous with an 8-ship Tie swarm... but I would risk it just so that list could be competitive again.
Agreed, it's an awesome list, plus I feel like I rescued stray Kihraxzs who were only bought for their Crackshots and then left out on the shelf.

I think I would disagree that it is fixed, especially without the title. In every Regional there's always a list or two, or ship, that gets in due to being something underestimated which opponents aren't familiar flying against. Serissu in West Virginia almost single handedly won the first time two top table played each other because it was largely ignored, and an HLC is an HLC. In the final match it was the first ship destroyed and killed easily with extreme prejudice. My opinion is that the gimmick of a Scyk on the table attributed to much of it's success, but doesn't have the action economy other similarly pointed ships would have. A survivable Serissu build is over 30 points to start, which is a lot for an Ace without autothrusters. It's already difficult to justify taking a small base Scum anyways with how good their large based ships are.
To that point I've seen Serissu, what other Scyks are seeing time on the top tables?

I tried a few lists with Cracken to combat squadrons...somehow they still find a way to chew through. A good amount of the Aces now have two anti-ship values and my Liberty/AF still got swarmed.
