  1. It’s just parts of my name along with the number of a bus I used to see a lot when I was a kid. I didn’t even get the 141, I just preferred it. @ovinomanc3r is the only other poster I’ve seen on the FFG forums with the same avatar also. And that’s because when I created this account I was with a (long gone) ex who used to be really into sheep.

    Epic 2.0

A conversion kit for all the epic ships and a nice narrative campaign / rules all in one set would be the best result. It’d be nice to have rules for all those cardboard chits we got throughout 1e.
  3. Hilarious that some people are complaining about L3’s ‘politics’ when this is literally a series about rebelling against oppression. I thought it was a good film; it surprised me. I thought parts could have been better, but the cringe factor was way down from TLJ. Any performance woes will be the fault of the previous film I think.
  4. With the vast majority of canon and legends ships (that I’m interested in, anyway) having already been released, I’m not really interested in the next article unless it’s the Executor ?
  5. It took me ages fiddling about to try and get a shade I was happy with, it’s basically white followed by watered down blood red. Thought it would be a really easy job but I must have gone over it 3-4 times!
  6. I love the tricks the thing has, and seeing as I exclusively play casually it’s always a bit of a special occasion when it’s on the board. Plus, if you highlight the wells it looks bad ***. Always wanted to buy another and do it in green!
  7. I would have a huge amount of money down for Legion were it not, thankfully, in the WRONG scale!
  8. Goldfinger definitely needs a houserule that if the ship suffers Major Hull Breach, the ship is destroyed instantly as he is sucked out of the hole. Great Metallics, so shiny!
  9. Do you mean ship or paints? For ships you can’t go wrong with a Most Wanted expansion. 3 ships with plenty of variant schemes to try and if you run them as Scum it won’t matter if they look a bit rough
  10. Hate to break it to you but a) Isis isn’t destroyed and b) US involvement in that conflict is a big part but it’s not the be all and end all.
  11. Maybe so, but I have plenty of Onslaught and 40k Epic minis and they are noticeably too small (though they do have stubby proportions). I don’t have any 10mm minis left to take comparison shots unfortunately but think the ideal would be 8mm minis, but they’re not something I’ve ever dealt with!
  12. You would need 10mm rather than 6, 6 is too small and is quite noticeable really.
  13. I’m also wondering, worst case scenario thinking, let’s do an experiment making some assumptions; -Kathleen Kennedy is an ardent feminist. -She’s subtly inserting this into the Star Wars films. -Millions of children watch and enjoy these films multiple times. -These children take away this message and...then what? Whats the problem there? What does that lead to that upsets people so much? Will boys maybe start, I don’t know, being nice to girls and see them as potential heroes too? Or will women simple stop settling down and creating homes? Will girls suddenly take your jobs away and leave you destitute? What are you afraid of?
  14. I make a really good Moroccan-style tagine with cous cous. Always comes out nicely, and the beauty is I can really vary the ingredients. The main staples are dried/crushed ginger, cinnamon, cumin, chilli, and coriander. Then mix with honey and tinned tomatoes and cook whatever you like in that for absolutely ages.
  15. She’s not really a Mary Sue. I don’t find her very interesting as a character (nor do I find the acting very good), but she is no more ‘Mary Sue’ than a lot of protagonists. People generally don’t like seeing protagonists fail all the time. Star Wars is popcorn. If people are making a conscious effort to put more women in the big popcorn roles then good. I honestly don’t see why it’s a problem. If you’re happy with the diversity ratio of the old films, then no one is stopping you watching them again as much as you like. I’m happy that for now my daughter might grow up and equally decide whether she wants to dress up as Leia one day, Jyn another, or Rey the next. Or f’ing Darth Vader if she wants; the point is I don’t care and neither should you. You’re putting a lot of effort into your ‘argument’ but aren’t explaining why it’s a problem.
  16. I’m a stickler for the red defender, too. Its funny cos I think I would run anyone in my ‘defaul’ Firespray with its dull Boba scheme but probably wouldn’t put anyone else in the Kath repaint..
  17. It makes sense in Armada, though. The turns represent a longer space of time and the ships have all sorts of sensoring do-dads equipped on them that mean measuring makes thematic sense. in X-Wing though turns represent seconds, if that.
  18. I introduced a friend to the game and as soon as he had the basics down, he started trying to use the force to fudge his attack dice. He was playing the X-Wing in the starter set so he had more firepower by default anyway. I told him it was rude, and that he should stop, but caught him out again trying to change hits to crits so I packed up my toys and we’ve not spoken since.
  19. Well... it’s true! Daisy Ridley and Natalie Portman aren’t related.
  20. I’d take it with a pinch of salt for now, it might just be something to make the toy a bit more ‘playable’... Definitely interesting though!
