Nationals - Who is Going?
Spector1331 replied to BiggsIRL's topic in Star Wars: Armada Organized Play
I'm coming from the MD/DC area with one other local. We will see if we can make breakfast. We should be in Tuesday afternoon/evening sometime. -
Truthiness you showing up?
-
I'm coming in from DC/MD area with one other. Neither of us pre-registered. So add that to the total.

I'm not sure it would have worked. I had all my ships ready to go to max speed if necessary in the case you did that. I think we 5-5 if that happens. I'm pretty sure you made the correct call.

@pheaver: don't think you made any real major targeting errors in our round 4 game. I still think I screwed up with when I sent the fighters in. I think holding off a turn or longer on my fighters would have been better, but after I sent them in I did everything I could to deny shots on anything but Yavaris since if it turns you were just going to light up its sides like a Christmas tree.

Congratulations on the win Truthiness. First round game was a blast. Hopefully now that you're back in MD I'll see you around up at GnS.

Did I fly off the board? Close call decides the game.
Spector1331 replied to Nerd Rage's topic in Star Wars: Armada
In a competitive game the ship comes off the board. The rules are very clear in this situation. In a fun game the ship likely still comes off the board, albeit with much mocking of piloting skills in a good natured manner. But hey you screw up you lose your ship. Now in a tourney prep game, likely what we do is have the ship redo his movement. Tourney prep for us is all about having your opponent play optimally so you can gauge how your list performs. Flying off the board is NEVER optimal. -
This is what happens when I listen to the IFF podcast at 3 am. This thread gets made.

If it's happen to you post it here and tell us about it. You're welcome Steve. - From Ackbar Steve . I need to get back down to Richmond for some games.
