Where are you from, tell us about your playgroup?: I am from Manila, Philippines. I play L5R Legacy mostly with a bunch of other old school players.
How did you hear about or get involved in L5R? I discovered it from a copy of Inquest Magazine way back in college with awesome art from Matt Wilson. I was playing Magic the Gathering but I was too late getting into it to have acquired dual lands for cheap.
Did you/Do you consider yourself a clan loyalist? I pledge allegiance to the Unicorn. But I like to bring my Toturi's Army ashigaru blitz deck to tourneys.
What did you like about or what drew you to your clan of choice? I like the idea of outmaneuvering my opponents with my dudes on horses. And I was born on the year of the horse, 1978.
What was your first L5R tournament experience? It was in a (now defunct) shop in Baguio City called "Dragon's Den". Back in college, I used to hang out there with friends to play Diablo 2, Starcraft, Magic and L5R.
Favorite story or quote from the fiction? Why? Shiryo no Shinjo flavor text: Do not let your mind be clouded by what is proper. Let your mind be cleared by what is right.
Favorite character? Why? Otaku Kamoko
Best memory or experience you had playing L5R or because of L5R. Trading cards with Chris Bergstrom when he visited Baguio. he was running a monk honor deck.
Favorite deck that you built or played and why. Toturi Ashigaru Blitz. I still got to optimize it as new ashigaru cards got printed.
Favorite Arc and why. Lotus because of the power level. What pansies call "broken" I call exciting.
Favorite Tournament experiences. I mostly only joined Legacy tourneys in the past few years.
Anything else you would like to tell players about L5R at that time, or any stories to bring back some fond memories for old school players or inspire new ones?
