Are you refereing to the series where the ships were hollowed out giant insects, and the lightsabers had backpacks?

You mean the game with the It’s Totally Not Millenium Falcon™️ And the Totally Not TIE Fighters™️ And even Not Bacta™️?  Oh.. I forgot the faceless numerous enemies that were Totally Not Stormtroopers™️.

Kotor was a lazy piece of garbage game.   Boring mechanics, boring story, and boring design that ripped off the otiginal series elements - disfigured sith lord, disposable enemy ships, assymetric hero ship.. the whole game was an unsubtle wink to players to let then know it was a star wars game, and made thd ridiculous notion that no new technology would get invented for 10,000 years, all the while you manage a loot system, while battling in cortosis underwear.

Now, yes, The Old Republic MMO was even worse with designs, making ships that so closely resemble TIE fighters if is appaling.

Now, despite them being Totally Not Stormtroopers™️ In kotor I did appreciate the design of the Sith Troopers.  I just wish they weren't used in such an obvious way.   I did like the Selkath alien design however.

There was just too much design in the games both story and visually thoug, that was boring and predictable.  I tried to like kotor, but I could not.

You are talking about this KOTOR right?

To each their own, but wow.  A lot of hate for an amazing game.

Os-1 works for the initial attack but due to it having its own "against targets you have locked" limitation separate from the Lock requirement of Cluster Missiles Os-1 blocks the bonus attack since Cluster Missiles requires the bonus attack be against a different target other then the first one attacked.

    Awesome.  Thank you

  3. The video is absolutely amazing.  They did a great job trying to blend it into the original.  I enjoyed, and will enjoy again, watching it.

But... the original was near perfect.  Vader could NOT charge in (like Rogue One) because he knows Obi would counter (seeing future) and you charge someone with guns not a sword.

The only part that that would work in the original is Vader hearing Obi’s voice.

    Yet, still amazing job!!

    Binary Weapons Configuration

Oooooo....I like this idea.  Maybe Connie it with cannon point reduction (shooting for the stars here)

At least a double tap when 2 cannons are equipped.  (One attack must be cannon, bonus attack can be anything)

I always thought the Bwing’s slender head-on frame should be taken into effect.  If attacker is in Bwing bullseye then add a focus, blank or evade.

Has anyone here read Dark Disciple by Christie Golden? I have enjoyed it immensely. It makes me want to have Vos pilot and crew in x wing, as well as a Banchee title for the Lancer. It would be neat to be able to field Vos in a scum list containing Ventress. Has anyone else had this desire? Any custom cards out there for this jedi or title?

That is a really good book.  The writing style makes it an easy read; Just enough back story to emotionally invest into the characters; and tons of back lore and Star Wars stuff.

And yes... we should get Voss pilot, maybe even crew? (Double sided, light and dark) And crew Ventress.

People always forget what EP1 says. It is very clear about Midichlorians communicating the will of the Force, not being the Force.

They explain Force Sensitivity, not the Force.

Clear?  I’s say midichlorians really muddied the waters up pretty good.

I won’t disagree with your last statement of “explain force sensitivity” though.

Anakin Skywalker: Master, sir, I heard Yoda talking about midi-chlorians. I've been wondering...what are midi-chlorians?
Qui-Gon Jinn: Midi-chlorians are a microcopic lifeform that reside within all living cells and communicates with the Force.
Anakin Skywalker: They live inside of me?
Qui-Gon Jinn: In your cells, yes. We are symbionts with them-
    Anakin Skywalker: Symbionts?
Qui-Gon Jinn: Life forms living together for mutual advantage. Without the midi-chlorians, life could not exist, and we would have no knowledge of the Force. They continually speak to you, telling you the will of the Force. When you learn to quiet your mind, you will hear them speaking to you.
    Anakin Skywalker: I don't understand.
Qui-Gon Jinn: With time and training, Annie, you will. You will.

Because the names of the fighter classes came before Star Wars fans developed Aurebesh as an alphabet... ANH predates Aurebesh by 10-15 years iirc. The names stayed what they originally were called due to the already established familiarity of them.

    You beat me to it.

Just to add: the original Star Wars, before it was ANH, when Obi deactivates the tractor beams, the controls said “tractor beam”. After the 90’s rerelease the aurebesh was added in.

  8. Some clarification for my simple mind if you don’t mind about struts open vs closed:

Open- “While you execute a maneuver, if you overlap an asteroid or debris cloud and there are 1 or fewer other friendly ships at range 0 of that obstacle, you may flip this card.”

Closed- “You ignore obstacles at range 0 and while you move through them. After you reveal your dial, if you reveal a maneuver other than a 2 Icon maneuver straight.png and are at range 0 of an asteroid or debris cloud, skip your Execute Maneuver step and remove 1 stress token; if you reveled a right or left maneuver, rotate your ship 90° in that direction. After you execute a maneuver, flip this card.”

    1)  Set template down and you move through an asteroid.  -normal penalties?

    2) Set template down and you land on an asteroid.  ‘Flip Landing Struts to open’ -ignore the asteroid thus allowing an action and no damage roll?

    3) next round, reveal a right turn.  Rotate 90° right and remove stress.  -Then Flip card over?

Here is where I get confused.  Closed side says skip execute maneuver, so when the card gets flipped to open wouldn’t normal asteroid penalties apply?

Or... does the card get flipped to open then flipped immediately back to closed?

  9. @heychadwick and @Darth Meanie, as usual both are spot on.

I love epic, a lot of fun to play and makes this game feel more Star Wars-y than tournaments do.

@Bucknife, The majority “house rules” seem to focus on that Epic ships suffer in action economy and not feeling....epic...enough.   Some ideas that I’ve tried are:

•epic ship points do not count towards the total.  (Load them up!)

•epic can do all upgrade Actions in addition to normal action

    • small ship primaries can’t damage the epic shields, only secondary weapons.

But.... to speed the game along and keep it organized, print out your lists before hand.

you cannot perform actions while stressed unless explicitly stated otherwise, no.

you cannot pay the cost for an effect that cannot be resolved either.

i'm sorry to say you are reaching, yes.

or in other words, the boost from afterburners is fine, yes. other actions, no, since you're stressed.

i'm also sorry to say it's not likely the tie advanced x1 will receive a tech slot to equip primed thrusters anytime soon. you can always hope, though.

    Cool. Thank you! 😀

  11. Vader performs a talon roll, activates afterburners and performs a boost action even while stressed.  Can Vader then spend a force charge to perform an action?

Vader does not get to pick a normal action though due to stress but, I feel eel like I’m reaching here, his ability does say “after you perform an action” and afterburner does say “perform a boost action...”

It's bonus action outside of the standard perform action step window. So Nien landing properly with red maneuver can do 2 actions, as well as Afterburners eqquiped ships (boost after red3 maneuver + action from Pattern).

    Wow.  Mind blown.

    Thank you.
