  1. Instead of coloring the entire edge, I have three close vertical lines on my main rocks. That combined with how absurdly worn out they are makes it pretty obvious.
  2. I would have been bummed if it was the Ralph McQuarrie paint scheme. (Which is awesome and I love it, but I already have two of them.) Since I often run two Phoenix Squadron Blockers and I need two more A-wing dials, this actually works out perfectly. I like to run my pilots with models that match their card whenever possible. I am glad they didn’t resculpt it though, I’m not a fan of the bloated Rebels A-Wings. If they’d released the RotJ paint job and then given us two of these in a Hammerhead Corvette, I would have been happier. This is fine though.
  3. It’s funny you should mention this @Magnus Grendel, I flew the list in the post you referenced at a fun night. For some reason I chickened out and SUDDENLYed the transport instead of Poe, it was dumb. I iterated on it though, and came to a similar list as yours. (I know my list would be better with torps, but I’d wanted to try the Autoblasters.) T-70 X-wing - •Poe Dameron - 81 •Poe Dameron - Trigger-Happy Flyboy (68) Marksmanship (1) •BB-8 (8) •Black One (2) Integrated S-foils (Open) (0) Autoblasters (2) Scavenged YT-1300 Light Freighter - •Han Solo - 119 •Han Solo - Jaded Smuggler (71) •Lone Wolf (5) •GA-97 (8) •Rose Tico (9) Engine Upgrade (7) •Rey’s Millennium Falcon (5) •Rey (14) Total: 200/200 View in the X-Wing Squad Builder The idea was to run Han around giggling and squealing, “Chase me, chase me!” Then SUDDENLY Poe! Anyway, I got a few games in with it, and these are my take always. Torps are certainly better on Poe. Han can melt like ice cream on a Florida sidewalk in July. Rose was useful, but didn’t feel 9 points useful. Would trade her for something that adds survivability. It was hilarious fun? Many moments of, “Wait, you’re deploying him where?” I never spent more than three charges on the SURPRISE Droid. Could maybe have real competitive legs with more experience.
  4. After flying two Supernatural Inquisitors and two Rho Squadron XG-1s to second place in a small store tourney yesterday, I wouldn’t particularly like those Force changes. Completely anecdotally and at a not at all high level of competition, I don’t have any problem fighting Jedi. I just wish the Rebellion had more force sensitive pilots.
  5. The only reason I haven’t yet is because I only have 3x A-Wings dials... That said I cooked up these two variations of YAAAA just today. RZ-1 A-wing - Green Squadron Pilot - 35 Green Squadron Pilot - (32) Crack Shot (1) Predator (2) RZ-1 A-wing - Green Squadron Pilot - 35 Green Squadron Pilot - (32) Crack Shot (1) Predator (2) RZ-1 A-wing - Green Squadron Pilot - 35 Green Squadron Pilot - (32) Crack Shot (1) Predator (2) RZ-1 A-wing - Green Squadron Pilot - 35 Green Squadron Pilot - (32) Crack Shot (1) Predator (2) BTL-A4 Y-wing - •Norra Wexley - 60 •Norra Wexley - Gold Nine (41) Dorsal Turret (3) R4 Astromech (2) Proton Bombs (5) Delayed Fuses (1) Veteran Turret Gunner (8) Total: 200/200 View in the X-Wing Squad Builder -and- BTL-A4 Y-wing - Gold Squadron Veteran - 53 Gold Squadron Veteran - (33) Crack Shot (1) Dorsal Turret (3) R4 Astromech (2) Proton Bombs (5) Delayed Fuses (1) Veteran Turret Gunner (8) RZ-1 A-wing - •Arvel Crynyd - 39 •Arvel Crynyd - Green Leader (34) Intimidation (3) Predator (2) RZ-1 A-wing - Green Squadron Pilot - 36 Green Squadron Pilot - (32) Intimidation (3) Crack Shot (1) RZ-1 A-wing - Green Squadron Pilot - 36 Green Squadron Pilot - (32) Intimidation (3) Crack Shot (1) RZ-1 A-wing - Green Squadron Pilot - 36 Green Squadron Pilot - (32) Intimidation (3) Crack Shot (1) Total: 200/200 View in the X-Wing Squad Builder
  6. This is seems pretty relevant. Even if adding the CLT [eye] is modifying an eye result, they should still be able to modify that same result again. If a ship with Lone Wolf rerolled an [eye] in to an [eye] couldn’t it then spend an evade token and modify that same dice again? It’s only modifying one dice.
  7. I thought his text read, “You should equip the Rey gunner on this I6 Falcon.” I must have missed something.
  8. Use Airen Cracken with Cluster Missile instead? If you opponent allows you to get the bonus Cluster Missile, you can allow each A-Wing to take a target lock or reposition in to a bullseye.
  9. Can we talk about how Delayed Fuses allows Cat renewable devices in order to trigger her ability. Also, I’d like to bemoan there isn’t a Resistance/Generic probe device that she can benefit from. What I wouldn’t give to let her run DRK-1 Probe Droids!
  10. They are saying that you are interpreting it incorrectly. If there was an upgrade that said “you may perform a third additional attack per turn” it would be a card contradicting the base rules reference. As it is, the upgrades you’ve referenced only give you an opportunity to take a bonus attack, not the ability to ignore the rule of only one bonus attack per turn.
  11. I am forever trying to make RZ-1 A-Wings work, and I definitely main Rebels because of that. And because of (Spinning!) B-Wings. And because of X-Wings finally being good. And because of HWKs. I don’t think I’ve made a 2.0 list that doesn’t include at least one of those ships. I also dabble Empire, Scum, Resistance, and Republic. I traded my somewhat limited FO collection for two Mining Guild TIEs.
  12. That makes more sense. For some reason I thought you were trying to do the draft in person, in which case drafting upgrades would be tedious. My suggestion for quickbuilds was not intended for people to...😟🤢🤮...fly quickbuilds, but rather use the quickbuilds as a list of pilots and upgrades to build a list from. An alternative, instead of making every item on a quickbuild available at once, have players choose only one pilot or upgrade from the quickbuilds they’ve drafted.
  13. I don’t actually know how Hearthstone does drafts. So maybe you’re already saying this... Let players draft X amount of quickbuild cards. Players can pull from every faction during the draft, then they have to build 200pt tournament legal lists using only the upgrades (in identical quantities) listed on the quickbuild cards.
  14. I’ve built a list that uses infinite range coordinates and M9-G8 on to Han for a few turns, then SUDDENLY POE appears from no where! Scavenged YT-1300 Light Freighter - •Han Solo - 84 •Han Solo - Jaded Smuggler (71) •GA-97 (8) •Rey’s Millennium Falcon (5) T-70 X-wing - •Poe Dameron - 71 •Poe Dameron - Trigger-Happy Flyboy (68) Heroic (1) R4 Astromech (2) Integrated S-foils (Open) (0) Resistance Transport - Logistics Division Pilot - 45 Logistics Division Pilot - (32) •C-3PO (6) •M9-G8 (7) Total: 200/200 Could replace GA-97 with the other useless Calculate stamp droid for 2 free points. It’s gives Poe Black One, but no more suddenly Poe.
  15. I would like all of these things. I would also like to see certain ships get ** and *** generics. They could be completely identical to current generics in stats and slots, but better priced. The TIE Phantom and the Quadjumper immediately come to mind. Down the road I’d like to see squadron packs for each squadron to expand the pilot rosters and maybe bring a special ability to each squadron.
  16. My first advice would be to proxy cards if you’re not playing in a tournament. If I’m playing a bunch of identical generics in a fun game, I’ll put out just the pilot cards and the upgrades on only one of them. Even if you’re playing in a local tournament, a lot of times you can either proxy or borrow a specific cards from someone else. If you do want to substantially increase your cards, the Rebel and Empire conversion kits will both give you more of almost everything you might need.
  17. I flew something similar on a fun night months ago. It was pretty successful against a poorly flown Deathrain, Countess, and something that died quickly? I know I’ve posted about this setup before at some point. Seeing all the extra points you’ve picked up really makes the Inquisitors a threat. I couldn’t fit missiles on them before.
  18. The scum pilot that most annoys me to go up against is probably Boba Fett. It feels like a waste of time to shoot at him unless I have 3 or more modified 3 dice attacks. Fenn is scary and swingy. If you can get shots on him he will die though. The HWKs and G1A are quickly focused down. Stoopid Boba though. He parks his ship right in your face and dares you to shoot him. 🤬
  19. ***All of this has been updated in the OP.*** So I got to at least play test this game mode the other day at game night. We had five players with the Rebels flying Gold, Green, and Red Squadron. The Imperials brought Saber, Scimitar and Inferno squadrons We decided to setup on opposite diagonal halves of each mat, and battle lines formed. Soon the battle was joined, Scimitar Squadron took the initial blows from Red, and Green Squadron traded plinks with Inferno Squadron. In the final rounds Saber Squadron destroyed half of Red Squadron, who called in reinforcements just in time to catch Soontir Fel off guard. The Debris Fields started piling up and adding to the chaos. Switching those to having the defender place them helped make up for losing ships. We only got three or four rounds of combat, before the shop had to start closing. That was mostly due to a late start and slow setup though. Once we were playing, the rounds were moving along pretty fast. Everyone seemed to have a lot of fun, but agreed that it would be better to have more time and really get into it.
  20. You’re in the wrong subforum. It’s not an uncommon mistake, since they named this one quite poorly. This subforum is for discussion of how awful the Squad Builder (App) is. I would recommend taking the points for deadman switch and homing missiles and switching them for maybe an EPT and a bomb. Alternatively, Kath Scarlett would love to be paired with those MGTs.
  21. I’ve had a great time flying A-Wings locally. I’ve had the most success flying them next to Sense Luke, to include taking second at a hyperspace trial after going undefeated in Swiss. The Phoenix Squadron Pilot with Intimidation is the best blocker in the game. I’ve also had fun running Outmaneuver and Predator Green Squadies as flankers. Finding ways to push damage through is always going to be expensive, but I’m very much looking forward to Snap Shot. The best advice I can give anyone is learn to block, and how to capitalize on a block. You’re not going to to get value with any of non-Jake pilots unless you can block well. I guess I’m the only person who prefers the RZ-1 mode over the RZ-2. The RZ-2 looks like someone just stepped on an RZ-1 and it didn’t bother to fix it. It’s too big, I want my A-Wings to be all nimbly bimbly crotch rockets, not a space corevette. They do bring interesting mechanics to the game though, and I definitely bought five of them. So I don’t hate them that much.
  22. I stand corrected on CD, I hadn’t thought about abusing gas clouds with it. That’s almost as good of a trick as spinning.
  23. There might be an argument for FCS on Vader to help conserve force usage, since you don’t have Hate. Only the most courageous of pilots would fly such bold list. I tip my hat to you.
  24. A-Wings, all the A-Wings!!! B-Wings, all the B-Wings!!! TIE Interceptors, all the TIE Interceptors!!! I also really like Luke and Wedge in 2.0, and I wish we had more of the Red/Rogue Squadron pilots from 1.0.
