  1. I had thought about something similar, but instead of unlimited- give each ship a modification score. They would be able to equip mods of total points up to their modifications score. Would probably mean Guidance Chips gets costed at 1 point, but otherwise things don't change (maybe make Engine Upgrade small only as it makes sense for large ships to have higher mod scores). I guess you'd have to make Hull, Shield, Stealth, and Autos limited too, maybe a few others.
  2. Quite a bit actually, and use Predator to help you miss the first shot ?! The trick is if they go for Dash they get into Tactician zone, if they go for Wullff they get HLCed turn Wullff into a big hitter too.
  3. I flew this a couple games against Kanan/Biggs/Zeb the other day and it worked reasonably well. Haven't had the chance to try against anything else yet, just wanted to hear thoughts from the crowd: Wullff Dash (100) •Wullffwarro (43) - Auzituck Gunship Predator (3), Gunner (5), Tactician (2), Hull Upgrade (3) •Dash Rendar (57) - YT-2400 •Lone Wolf (2), Heavy Laser Cannon (7), Rey (2), •Outrider (5), Smuggling Compartment (0), Scavenger Crane (2), Countermeasures (3)
  4. The reason I suggest keeping it on N'Dru is exactly that he will die soon! The stress won't impact him very much (especially with these range 2-3 missiles) where the StarViper doesn't clear stress as effectively as we might like but is already rather durable defensively.
  5. I think it might be better to take a bigger bid by using Cruise Missiles or dropping Glitterstim off Thweek, otherwise it looks fun!
  6. Right, I think we've just misunderstood each other somewhat. While that is the best approach for someone looking to win, the mindset you bring isn't about the outcome of winning, it's about the process of improving. Whatever motivates that process doesn't really impact enjoyment, imo, just that your approach (which is the best approach!) doesn't hinge on winning as the only desirable outcome (in fact, it sounds like you aren't focused on the outcome very much at all). When I say winning mindset, I'm really addressing the people whose only enjoyment of the game is in its outcome, namely victory, when their desired outcome isn't reached no enjoyment was had.
  7. I find mindset is the single most determining factor in game enjoyment, and this applies to every game. If you have a winning mindset you are unlikely to really enjoy playing the game. You'll enjoy the outcome sometimes, but rarely the actual gameplay. If you have a I want to play the game the way I like mindset you're also likely to be dissatisfied as others may not share your perspective. If you approach things from the mindset of trying to enjoy flying your best and enjoying the little puzzles presented to you, you'll rarely be dissatisfied.
  8. I think a PS8 Nym is probably playing Minefield Mapper and a bunch of Cluster Mines with R4-E1, TLT, Lone Wolf, and maybe a Hull Upgrade or Chips and some Missiles. Give Miranda the Bomblet with Sabine and use the Cluster Mines to block off your opponents initial formation and force them into an area you can keep control of. Nym can still keep Miranda's bomblets from detonation right? So it might work out rather nicely as a complete field control nightmare.
  9. I might try it like this- (100) •Sabine Wren (32) - Attack Shuttle Intensity (2), Twin Laser Turret (6), Intelligence Agent (1), Targeting Computer (2) •Wullffwarro (38) - Auzituck Gunship Predator (3), Tactician (2), •Baze Malbus (3) •Tycho Celchu (30) - A-Wing Rage (1), Chardaan Refit (-2), A-Wing Test Pilot (0), Autothrusters (2), Push The Limit (3) The plan would be to use Wullff to stress up to two enemies per round. Use Predator to re-roll a hit on your first target, then trigger Baze to shoot and try to hit your primary threat, dealing a stress to each from Tactician. Tycho will be able to Rage then PtL for whatever other action he might want, probably boost or evade. Sabine can use Inteligence agent to figure what her premovement action and direction should be (while picking up a token from intensity) then she can use her normal action to stack an additional token or target lock if desired. You have some room to change things if you want. Targeting Computer could come off and TLT could be changed as well to free up some points. If you cut TC and changed TLT to ABT you could then upgrade Baze to Gunner or fit Tycho with Proton Rockets.
  10. This is really fun, trust me- (100) •The Inquisitor (32) - TIE Adv. Prototype Push The Limit (3), XX-23 S-Thread Tracers (1), TIE/v1 (1), Autothrusters (2) Imperial Trainee (17) - TIE Striker Adaptive Ailerons (0) Imperial Trainee (17) - TIE Striker Adaptive Ailerons (0) Imperial Trainee (17) - TIE Striker Adaptive Ailerons (0) Imperial Trainee (17) - TIE Striker Adaptive Ailerons (0)
  11. So two upgrades at all? Not two per ship? That sounds really boring honestly. I guess if pressed I'd say action economy upgrades would be ideal. Like maybe PtL Soontir and Carnor? (99) •Soontir Fel (30) - TIE Interceptor Push The Limit (3) •Carnor Jax (29) - TIE Interceptor Push The Limit (3) Patrol Leader (40) - VT-49 Decimator
  12. I feel like you might be better off spending points to properly outfit Fenn Rau and Talonbane Cobra rather than trying to wiggle in a third ship. Maybe you'll even have room for a good bomb on Unkar?
  13. Many people have been saying- X-wing does, Internet forums do not. Too many bad hombres. Sad!
  14. I think this seems really fun! Boba bomber (100) Captain Nym (48) - Scurrg H-6 Bomber Veteran Instincts (1), Twin Laser Turret (6), Extra Munitions (2), Cluster Mines (4), Cluster Mines (4), Havoc (0), Minefield Mapper (0), R4-E1 (1) Boba Fett (52) - Firespray-31 Expertise (4), Bomblet Generator (3), Cad Bane (2), Engine Upgrade (4) Use Nym with mapper to set up jousting lanes for Boba where you'll have additional cover if they choose to stay on the outside. If they get close you use bomblet and rear arc to punish them until they disengage.
  15. I've been looking to fit Cad Bane into a Nym list but have struggled to figure it out. I also like Boba Fett and want him to be useful in some way. What do you think of this- Boba bomber (100) Captain Nym (48) - Scurrg H-6 Bomber Veteran Instincts (1), Twin Laser Turret (6), Extra Munitions (2), Cluster Mines (4), Cluster Mines (4), Havoc (0), Minefield Mapper (0), R4-E1 (1) Boba Fett (52) - Firespray-31 Expertise (4), Bomblet Generator (3), Cad Bane (2), Engine Upgrade (4)
