Hey guys,
How much info do you give to rebels during missions?
I know you have to read from CG whats going on otherwise they wont know what they are doing.
But what about health or speed on imperial figures for deployment cards?Or what about attachments you use on what card?
Of course I will not reveal future deployment cards that I hold in my hand.I am talking about card that are already deployed.
Most (sometimes all) of agenda cards I keep hidden all the time from rebels.
I have noticed a big difference when you hide deployment cards and when you have them in plain sight.
When players see deployment cards they can organize a bit better.
Like: "He only has 3 HPs so shoot him first!".Comments like that I can hear all the time.
Or:"His speed is 5 you need to move away further down the hall otherwise he`ll hit you.He also have reach!"
Shall I hide info like this or keep em in plain sight for players to see.
Also...I could not find relevant text considering this.

I am playing with few groups.Group A have 4 players and group B have 2 players and they control 2 characters.
In first campaign both groups lost most of the missions. They won like 2-3 missions against me because they had no idea whats behind doors.
Group A gave up in the mid of the campaign and requested that we start over so we did that (just in time group B finished their first run and started new one).
I felt sorry for them because they are my friends and it was stupid for them to lose all the time. Also they were QQ a lot!I mean honestly - I met friends wife and she told me:"Dude...you need to let em win!I cant listen this **** anymore!"

So both groups won first 3-4 missions.
I was then thinking: "OK...its time to kick some ass!",but by then it was bit late.In those first 3-4 missions they all had like 5-6 XP points plus some reward cards and credits. Then they bought 4 XP class cards and equipment!
That turned tables quick. Now its really hard for me to keep up with them so I just save my influence and XP for the last mission where I will pound them with everything I have!
What I`m trying to say is that you DO NOT let them win!Otherwise they will be OP really fast and you will be in really tough position.First few missions are crucial!
Considering tactics I usually concentrate my fire on one character first and then try and wound him/her.I usually go for characters with black defense die.No dodge.Stun,bleed,weaken...these are your best friends!Use this a lot.
I like trandoshans because when they get into your face they do +1 dmg and +1 strain(in this case strain is more important then +1 dmg).Nexu is also powerful because of speed and bleed. Also I like military might class cards.Free focus can be devastating (in first mission droid rolls 4 dies).I do not do "block the hallway" tactics but I will try and limit their movement if I can.Against 4 players this all might work easy but against 2 players is super hard. They have 2 activation tokens per round so in theory they can move at least 20 spaces. Its hard to catch up with them.So you need to think few steps ahead and try and read their actions.
Later on when players get enough equipment and class cards do not trow in every round 1 card. They will kill em fast and then you`ll be back at start with no threat.Try and save a bit of threat and then trow in few enemies at once!
Good luck and show no mercy no matter how much players QQ!

Hey guys,
I`m bit confused about what enemies can empire player bring to table when facing two heroes instead of four.
It is written in Learn to Play Guide that if there are less then 4 players then empire player cant use e-web engineer.
If less then 3 player (meaning two) empire player cant bring e-web engineer AND probe droids.
Does that applies only for tutorial mission or full campaign with 2 players?
We already started playing 2 player campaign.
I don't use e-web and droids and some maps are really empty.
On the other hand I don't feel like I`m undermined by this.
I can still mess with heroes and do some serious damage on them, but I want to play by-the-book.
Makes everything much easier.

Ok...so I cant shoot at rebel scum over blocking terrain.
I have create image representing two situations.
First situation is the one where I cant shoot em!
Second situation: Can I move my AT-AT like this and then shoot rebel? Can AT-AT finish its movement and stay in blocking terrain?
-
My friend said (rebel player):"It would be logical for AT-AT to be able to shoot target behind impassible or blocking terrain but also rebels can shoot back at it.
Because AT-AT cockpit is up high so you are able to see it and damage it."
Although this is not in the game mechanics I think there is some point to it.If AT-AT can shoot rebels they should be able to shoot back.
This rule of course only applies to massive figures.Large figures, like Nexu, are not affected by this rule. -
I cant manage to find the rule about this.
Can AT-ST shoot thru impassible or blocking terrain (excluding walls)?

I have tested this sheet and it works nice. There is one downside tho.
When rebels get new cards for side missions there is no room on sheet to write them down so I just write em on back of the paper.
Sorry about that guys,my bad.I`ll see if I can change that soon.

I play game with family kids. They are 10,13,15,16 and they are not that familiar with tactics.
I know your not playing with kids but when I tried this it worked.
If rebels are losing all the time try this:
Add extra turn for the missions that are limited with time,
Do not spend all your threat points,
Sometimes I even "forget" to use some of my agenda or class cards.
Of course I do this with kids. With other groups I pound em with everything I got.
On the other hand my friends that I play with are 10 yrs D&D pen&paper players so they know their stuff.

Well done!
I was thinking about doing that but then it is easier for me just to have one paper per party because I play with more groups at the same time!

Cone of silence
in Imperial Assault Campaign
Posted
I am imperial player. In first campaign rebels talked tactics in front of me and they lost most of game.
After that I ask them if they want to talk tactics and if they want to I put my head phones on,turn my back to the table and do something on my computer.
Games turned to be much more interesting that way.
So yeah...I`d suggest that all IP use head phones and look other way while rebels talk tactics. You`ll have more fun for sure!
