Diminishing returns re: model details and dynamic posing has pretty much ruined all the current GW offerings. 

This is almost so false its funny. I could literally invent and/or link 500 topics that fall directly into a general Legion forum as opposed to a specific sub forum. I guess what we simply have here is a number of people use this as their all encompassing Star Wars discussion outlet. They like Legion, so they just use the forums for any random Staw Wars topic they please. And it appears a ton of people dig this. Some don't. The other FFG forums have an off topic section, Legion doesn't. That should be looked into.

I think the issue that some have is that of the articles that show up on the first page of this forum, including this topic, 8/24 (1/3) of them are about things that have no direct correlation to Legion currently.  They are about movies, television shows, interviews, toys, etc. that people would like to see in Legion.  I'll list them below:

See the problem isn't with any of the stuff you guys talked about because it's all legion related. I'm talking about the posts with Toys, images, etc from the movies, comics and shows that aren't legion related. I'm honestly less engaged in these forums because sometimes there's sometimes more none legion stuff in the top dozen posts then stuff that has to do with the game. There's reddit/starwars and a dozen other places for that content and most of the people visiting the ffg star wars legion forums most likely aren't coming here for that. It's not like we're saying that stuff can't be posted or shouldn't be allowed, just posted on a sub forum where people can still visit, post and comment on it.

Indeed! I was just coming here to say as much. I've been pretty slammed personally and professionally since the first of the year so I've gotten a little behind on updates. However, I've got a little bandwidth this week and today's news is super exciting. Depending on how long things take, I'll get updates up either late tonight or tomorrow. I'll cover today's new announcements, the spoilers for the releases later this month, and the last cleanup stuff for the releases last week.

Correct, but not everything Star Wars is Legion related. Otherwise lets just make a "Star Wars" forum under the FFG/Miniatures forum and we can go mingle with the X-Wing and Armada folks. 🙂

*shrug* I did say "might". I still haven't seen anyone try to argue with the fact that the 8 posts I listed above have anything to do with Legion.

I made a big update to the files, so update your data if you want the latest. New Commanders, new Battle Cards, new Skirmish option, etc.
I do have Cassian in there at 50 points, which seems way too low, but that's also what I see when I look at the article. Obviously he's unreleased, so take that with a grain of salt.

I wanted to let you all know that my best friend passed away yesterday.  Cancer took him in his sleep and ended his suffering. He really loved this community and loved traveling to Gencon and worlds to play imperial assault. Thank you all for the donations and all the prayers. 

I tried battlescribe. Can’t stand it. It updates every time I change pages. 

Since people have started to get their preorder set's, when do you think we'll be able to by the Clone Wars core set/Clone Wars Expansions?
If I can scrape up enough money to buy said thing is another matter entirely.... but let's speculate!
I have no idea how it normally works but I assume that since the preorders are coming in we have a few weeks to a month till they hit store-or virtual- shelves.

Actually, I wouldn't have a problem with it, as long as they were upfront with what was happening.  What happens in France doesn't affect me, so them getting it on the 4th and me waiting til the 18th wouldn't change when I got the product I've paid for.  On the other hand, if I was in France, and the product in question is just sitting around for a few weeks so that someone somewhere in the world can get it the same day, then I'd be pissed, especially if I had already paid for the dang thing.

This entire post made me laugh. You're whining about people being critical about FFG's failed release schedule and communication skills.

Do you know what is behind a world release of a product? big boats sailing from China to Australia, US an EU, different customs on each country, transport distribution to hubs, truck distribution to FLGS and all of that worlwide. They don't delay the product because they want. Some logistic issue should happened and they are working on fix it. 
Would you be happy if french version is released on 4th and US is released on 18th? of course not. I'm tired of Facebook post apocalyptic posts about delays, here in the forums the same... I'm going to quit several weeks from social media and I will be back when people start to cry because clones or droids are broken. Do you remember this is a game for adults with small miniature toys?

As you all know, I have taken great pride in writing a blog for Legion beginners for the last year and a half. I'm not really sure who you're talking to here. I'm the person who wrote the BattleScribe files for Legion, I'm the one who has made every update to them, and I never said they weren't going to get updated. If you've got concerns, PM me or something. Your approach seems weirdly confrontational given I haven't even weighed in on this.
In fact, the files are updated (which I feel a little guilty about frankly, because I still haven't finished the Armada updates for the SSD but those are taking forever and this took barely an hour). I was waiting until the actual RRG doc came out, which I expected would be tomorrow, but it was today.
I pushed the most recent BattleScribe update a few hours ago. It takes a little while for the data hosting site to get it live but it will be up by morning. It includes all the errata and points changes from RRG 1.5.1, all the cards spoiled from the stream (I think, let me know if I missed any), and removing the "unreleased" markings and classification from all the cards in the Shoretroopers expansion. As usual, let me know if you find any typos or other mistakes. 

A reminder that the Battlescribe updates are just the work of fellow community member, and anyone can use Battlescribe to do these updates themselves if they want.
Battlescribe is just the tool and none of the ad or subscription revenue goes to the guy who volunteers his time to create and update data files.
I don't think the kind of pressure you are applying here is healthy.
