  1. my problem here is that you've just nominated like 90% of the army of my opponent that unit is interesting, thank you for sharing!!
  2. i've not read all the comments, this is just my 2 cent tossed in this pool: Golems are a strange beast. They are "fine", i think that making some change here (except maybe discount them by a point or two) will make them too strong. Adding a wound on a thing that can go to 5-6 armor is HUGE, adding a THIRD red dice is TOO HUGE with the brutal (stable rune) thing, ecc. ecc. So they are "fine", but they suffer when you see that practically every army except daqan gives mortal strikes and wounds like candy, so that armor is only partially good. And they are pretty **** slow. In this game movement is REALLY good.
  3. @Bhelliom thanks mate, REALLY good suggestion here!! With those suggestions i've modified to this: Lord Hawthorne x1 [34]--Artifact: Shield of Margath [6]--Unique: Might of Daqan [4]----------Total Unit Cost: 44Oathsworn Cavalry x4 [34]--Equipment: Tempered Steel [3]--Heraldry: Bull Pennon [3]--Training: Rank Discipline [4]----------Total Unit Cost: 44Heavy Crossbowmen x3 [27]--Equipment: Tempered Steel [3]--Training: Rank Discipline [4]----------Total Unit Cost: 34Spearmen x4 [30]--Champion: Dispatch Runner [7]----------Total Unit Cost: 37Spearmen x4 [30]--Champion: Lance Corporal [6]--Music: Rallying Cornicen [4]----------Total Unit Cost: 40 i've tried fitting 2 units of 1x2 spearmen like you said, but i had too few points :C so i choose to stay with the two 4x1 spearmen for now. I see the unwieldy problems, but haven't still try it i want to see how bad it is, so for now i'm gonna experiment with the 4x1 stuff. For the shield of margathing it seem a really good choice, but i often play against waiqar and i'm afraid of Death grasp and other meany things :C I don't know when i will play this list, i hope soon, but i will report surely the results (sorry for the bad english)
  4. Hi guys! I've got 2 base box worth of daqan pieces, and i'll soon buy Lord Hawthorne and a pair of crossbowman boxes. I was exploring what i can do with the Hawthorne ability (Lessons of Seragart), so i came up with this list: Lord Hawthorne x1 [34]--Unique: Might of Daqan [4]----------Total Unit Cost: 38Oathsworn Cavalry x4 [34]--Equipment: Tempered Steel [3]--Heraldry: Bull Pennon [3]--Training: Rank Discipline [4]----------Total Unit Cost: 44Heavy Crossbowmen x3 [27]--Equipment: Fire Rune [7]--Training: Rank Discipline [4]----------Total Unit Cost: 38Spearmen x4 [30]--Champion: Lance Corporal [6]--Equipment: Tempered Steel [3]--Music: Marching Cornicen [2]----------Total Unit Cost: 41Spearmen x4 [30]--Champion: Lance Corporal [6]--Equipment: Tempered Steel [3]----------Total Unit Cost: 39 Are those 2 spearmen units worth renuncing the 9 trays standard with front line rune golems? And if it was this the case, is this slitghly different list better? (it changes the second unit of spearmen, the rest is the same). Lord Hawthorne x1 [34]--Unique: Might of Daqan [4]----------Total Unit Cost: 38Oathsworn Cavalry x4 [34]--Equipment: Tempered Steel [3]--Heraldry: Bull Pennon [3]--Training: Rank Discipline [4]----------Total Unit Cost: 44Heavy Crossbowmen x3 [27]--Equipment: Fire Rune [7]--Training: Rank Discipline [4]----------Total Unit Cost: 38Spearmen x4 [30]--Champion: Lance Corporal [6]--Equipment: Tempered Steel [3]----------Total Unit Cost: 39Spearmen x4 [30]--Champion: Dispatch Runner [7]--Music: Rallying Cornicen [4]----------Total Unit Cost: 41
  5. Thanks, it was helpful! @Antox717 my meta is a boring one, sadly. But filled with funny people @Tvayumat thanks a lot for reporting the exact rules from the compendium, i've overseen it
  6. Hi guys, i'm new to this wonderful (excluding death grasp) game. I've got a typical rule lawyering question: when can i use an ispiration boon EXACTLY? I'll explain: an inspiration boon can be used "Before a unit reveals its command tool". Does this mean that i can use the boon RIGHT BEFORE revealing the command tool o "simply" before revealing the command tool? I'll make an example: i got a unit with a pair of inspiration boons, let's say the typical golem LaBeouf (JUST DO IT GOLEM). Then some sneaky waiqar archer puts on my poor LaBeouf a pair of Blight banes. On that right moment a gigantic mass of protein called necroworm charges my Labeouf, which has the command tool still unrevealed (maybe he wanted to do something slow, like moving on initiative 8). Can i spend my boons to get rid of the banes before the protein monster AKA necroworm attacks (and uses it's ability to do mortal strikes with banes) or not? We are before i reveal the command tool, but not RIGHT before i reveal it. Sorry for my poor English, thanks for the help! Claudio.
