Too many Star Wars already, IMHO.
Don't get me wrong. I do like Star Wars a lot, but I am glad that Terrinoth is the IP for this reimplementation of WHQ:ACG.

it wouldn't be better just different and don't give them bad ideas... there are already too many games in the SW universe (yeah i don't like SW). I'm pretty happy they did it with their own IP.

That will be interesting to see, I think there's still a lot of room for different characters and I'd like to see more characters before they start making different versions of the same characters. Who knows though, the future is exciting either way.

I personally think that reys ability to make an extra action when upgrades is better than vader ability. In this games it seems tempo is almost all, and make two actions consecutives seems powerfull. Also Finn ability to let you use villain cards in a deck seems pretty nice, but well see.

You mean the way it's at an angle? That's because his lightsaber has a curved hilt.

FFG never went on a crusade against the CCG model, stating as such is just not accurate.
FFG did not create LCGs because they felt CCGs were bad, evil, predatory, or any other adjective that would ascribe a moral imperative to FFGs actions. FFG created the LCG model, because their CCG wasn't selling well. Not because they had a duty to take a stand against the tyranny of CCGs, but because they were failing in the CCG business.
And good for FFG for rebranding sucessfully. They targeted an underserviced demographic and were able to create a nice market for themselves. But to call that a crusade against CCGs is to tell a lie.
Nor, are FFGs non-collectible distribution models considered all that gamer friendly. X-wing includes fixes for older ships in new releases, some of which are Epic ships that can't be used in normal play. They also package upgrades in a way that cause players to buy more of certain ships they they normally would or ever intend to use. In Imperial Assault they package some models only in deluxe expansions. You have to buy the whole thing to get one model or one card. I have zero problem with either if those things. But just because they are non-blind buys doesn't mean they don't have ways to encourage players to buy product they don't really want in order to get the stuff they really do. Which is exactly what a blind buy model does.
Additionally, 3 Cores is still true. SWLCG required 2 because unlike Conquest and AGOT, you can only have x2 of a set not x3 of a card in a deck. And remember the SWLCG Core Set didn't have 1/3rd of the Affiliations fully represented, that came in Edge of Darkness. So in reality SWLCG required 4 core sets. Without question if you wanted to play FFGs most recent LCG, AGOT, competitivly you'd need 3 Core Sets. Cycle packs do not, nor do they even intend to, phase out the need to have the full Core Set available to you any where near as quickly as you suggest.

Seems we are losing our cheap alternative to TT Mini games. No word from FFG on anything since they stopped supporting tournaments only means they are letting it fall by the wayside.

Perhaps they can sell the DW license to someone who wants to keep it going.

I doubt though they will sell it as they can use the license to create a Star Wars Diskwars game or something.

The "mutism" is no mystery at all. FFG made clear several times in the last years that:

    - they don't talk about the future of their products until they are ready to announce a new expansion. So, sending emails to anyone won't result in anything but no answers. IF there's something in the future of Diskwars, we'll learn it the hard way, by reading the news on FFG's homepage

    - as long as you see a forum active (i.e. not in the "Legacy Games" subsection of these boards) they do not consider the line abandoned, and this implies that either they will expand it or that they simply keep it in production

So, the only thing we can do, is sit and hope something will be announced, sooner or later. In any case, it's a line that didn't meet the producer's expectations (OP was cancelled, and the production rythms dropped consistently). Still, it's a relatively new line, so, I still have a lot of hope. But I won't be holding my breath in the meantime

Oh guys... cmon.... nobody in Gencon ask for this game?? i send emails to the devolepers (tom jolly etc...) but nothing... i cannot understand why the mutism about diskwars.... anyone knows if they can return the competitive of a game they cancelled before? i mean, they can retract the that stupid decision? We gonna see something before 2016???

Its a great game, and is not complete (not only the factions, its clairly unbalanced and needs more rules, and i want a official campaing rulebook!)

is cheap, fun, ellegant, deep, customizable.... thats why they cancelled maybe....
