  1. Awesome, thanks. I haven’t played much (only about 3-5 games in) and most of those were at launch. Was considering getting another fleet and maybe some commandos and cutting down to one speeder but I really want to give double 47s a chance.

  2. So in my excitement over the A-Wing, I failed to double check the scale for the rest. In getting information on the A-Wing and preparing for the arrival of the others, I realized my mistake. It appears that only a snowspeeder is in the same scale as the A-Wing (1/52),the fighters range in scale from 1/112 to 1/90.

I might pick one to open and see how hard fabricated a properly scaled copy might be, but otherwise will be sending them back. If I do undertake that project, I'll post updates but it would be a month or two down the line.

It seems that you can get the photos hosted by them to show (at least temporarily) by adding "~original" (minus the quotes) after the end of the image url (.jpg)

No idea how long that trick will work though.

Considering free and unlimited use is what put them on the map, I'd rather just walk away. I have 0 tolerance for shady business practice, they make enough money from advertisements (that they bombard you with).

  4. I've a few more en route but won't be here until sometime in April. I see this question popping up a lot, so I thought I would contribute.

First arrived is the  Revell Snaptite Build and Play Star Wars: The Last Jedi! Resistant A-wing Fighter (written as listed on Amazon).

Edit: Photobucket has turned to trash so give me a bit to get an updated, non-cancer filled host.

    Edit: imgur link added.

You also probably won't actually want to run a copy of Impact Grenades on every unit of Troopers you field.  People love to complain, but in most practical situations, owning 2-3 copies of Impact Grenades from, say, a Rebel Troopers expansion and 2x Fleet Troopers expansions will be plenty.

I would have preferred that the Stormtroopers/Rebel Troopers expansions had come with two copies of Impact Grenades in the same way that the Bikers (and presumably the AT-RT) came with two copies of Comms Jammer.  Such is life.  On the upside, we don't need to buy out of faction expansions to get upgrade cards.  I can focus on Imperials and entirely ignore the Rebel options.  So far, that's better than X-Wing and Armada.

    Yup. Beat me to it.

  6. 2 small, rolled bits of poster tack will hold a baseless mini upright on a paint stir stick. Thus far, the only mini I regret mounting to the base prior to working on it is the ATRT because you can see down under the towers. The rest are fine to mount first, sans arms as mentioned.

  7. I have an ATRT from a Core that's missing the cylindrical leg attachment point and the in-gripped control arm. Anyone else having trouble getting the customer service form to come up? Got through once but it timed out, been 404'd ever since.

  8. Throughout two threads, I repeatedly quoted the initial posts of you and the others. Not one was a polite, rational post to support your position(s). Again, to a man, you all entered the post exactly as I described above.

Hence why the challenge to quote me a rational response from (any) your ilk was met with a deflection, a declaration of moral superiority, and a parting quip.

Hence why I get to say "I told you so."

    I told you so.

  9. Lol, if you say so, dear. Feel free to quote me a rational response from you and your ilk that wasn't laden with e-superiority complex, pompous pontificating about how anyone against lifeboat flotillas are a bunch of noobs and how thinking FFG would listen to anyone against lifeboat flotillas were fools.

    I'll wait.

  10. Not going to lie, I'm disappointed. I expected more assaults against FFG from the fanbois who apparently switch sides with the FAQ. They were some real ******'s when I brought this up a few months back, given every one of them (to a man) who said it "wasn't over used", used it in EVERY single list they posted.

  11. So I got a Death Star playmat that had severe bubbling. Given the Christmas load on FFG (I assume), I didn't get a replacement until today. Open it up and it's just as bubbled in the same section. Is it just this mat that has these issues?

  12. So after a lot of deliberation and the weighing of some of the points brought up here, this is currently my list.

    1) Every ship other than the Gozanti can take a Screed proc.

    2) A 2-turn (hopefully) fighter screen utilizing:

    3) A carrier that can assist the fighters in trying to 1-turn an escort and/or intel as well as serving as a frontline fighter thanks to the Interdictor.

    4) A full 400 points with a change to objectives to further take advantage of grav shift reroute.

    5) A Demolisher in an attempt to continue developing second-turn Demolisher tactics and to provide a significant threat in those coin-flip first player games.

    6) A Gozanti that, for 2 points, can really screw up someones formation flying unless they have a token to spend.

    7) The combat lifeboat, shield sharing Interdictor that can keep the VSD-I in the fight as well as offer some means of protection that also offers token manipulation.

    8) Dual engineering token spam medium bases in order to further encourage their survival in a brawl.

    9) Maintaining 4 activations.

    10) Increased fighter screen from 4 to 5 to fully utilize the Gozanti and VSD-I's squadron commands. I nearly put expanded hanger on the VSD to get 1 more squadron with a bonus dice roll but later decided not to.

I was considering putting Screed on the VSD-I to edge my potential points loss but decided not to for two reasons. A combat lifeboat is the point of the Interdictors inclusion and the VSD-I is there to generate a perceived threat to target.
