  1. Wayyy too late but a Best Ball league would've worked with the number of participants. Everyone drafts an 18 player roster for the season and the game automatically creates the best starting roster each week based off of their actual performance. highest score at the end of the regular season wins.
  2. No. There's a reason why all the good guys left Imperial service in the original trilogy. What can possibly be the motive for anyone choosing to stay? I enjoy shooting uppity green-people too much - I'm gonna' keep Storm Trooping? Storm Troopers are literally what we've historically described Nazi's as. I'd accept another film in the time period around Rogue One starring Wedge and Biggs as fresh Imperial volunteers showing their time at the Academy before changing teams and joining the Rebels. Maybe an Apocalypse Now-ish film about Imperial ground troopers on a backwater planet being eaten alive by jungle insects finally seeing through the Imperial propaganda and rebelling against their jack-booted leadership.

Tack on: Raymus Gunnery Team Engine Tech Leading Shots X17 Turbolasers H9 Turbolasers ... and you've got a dancing whale of a ship that makes it's shots count every single time. With Raymus, Madine, Engine Techs, and a Nav command you get SIX CLICKS OF YAW. (Default +2, Nav command +1, Madine +1, Nav token +1, Engine Tech +1) With X17 Turbolasers, and H9 Turbolasers you take away your opponents Redirect and only need to use H9 to fish for an accuracy to block their brace.

The GR-75's hide on the far side of the MC's and send out Nav tokens/commands as necessary. Toryn Farr keeps the Quad Laser Turrets going and empowers any necessary anti-squadron shots. If the opponent takes first and selects Advanced Gunnery, you give Home One the second shot. If the opponent selects Contest Outpost you can let them come to you as you slowly circle the station. If the opponent selects Solar Corona you dive bomb the side of the board and put yourself between you and the sun.

If you turn the second CR90 into a GR75 you not only have more ships to activate squadrons with but you can give both MC30's H9's (guarantees you always get an accuracy) and will probably give you room to bump back up to 6 squadrons.   6. I'm a proponent for American Football making a lateral transition to something more akin to rugby (which appears to result in fewer catastrophic injuries) or pro flag football. There's just nothing quite like the sight of a dude cutting through a pack of defenders, shrugging off hits, and throwing stiff-arms. Also, since #armadaisdead I've doubled-down on my pre-season Fantasy Football research. Our league is gonna pony up for a 3' crystal football trophy this year and I want it on my mantle.

  8. Quasar Fire. When I see an opponent unpacking one of these it almost always guarantees I'm going to have to deal with Squads, Sloane, Squall, and Strategic. Huh. Funny how those are all S's.

  10. 1. NPD data is garbage. This. Furthermore, we're all assuming that whatever FFG/Asmodee does is based of of some kind of numbers-based rational-decision-making. The first thing any analysts learns working in the business world is that your work only matters when it supports what the leadership committee's plans are. Just because Armada may be performing well in sales doesn't mean they give a **** about it's future. ****, Armada in their view might be standing in the way of more success in X-Wing. Imagine if they could cut loose all the resources attached to Armada and the production time given up to its manufacturing and roll it into making more Tie Fighters.
