I know.. which is why I haven't bought them for all my squads If someone were to guinea pig them to a major event and they were deemed ok in actual use (like the washers were at worlds), I would be all over them, but my gaming budget is strapped enough as it is. I will probably pick a few up when able for non-competitive squad sets down the road in any case.

Let me clarify.. I would totally favor these being legal, and would get some, I'm not at all happy with the construction of the squadrons.. but not likely to invest much in them if they aren't tournament legal.

I think these are great, but ultimately are they tourney legal is a big factor. I would certainly allow them in casual play, and if legal would get them for at least some squads if I'm using multiples of.

So we still don't know, you need to move the range tool to cardboard to cardboard with the rhymer shot, right now it has a little room, but is not measuring a legal shot, it still has to clear the plastic.. at best you are going to have a small fraction of the couple millimeters you have with the illegal shot. Which brings us back to it's very hard to get that shot on a real table, especially if you want to do it with enough bombers to scare an AF. 2 or 3 at the most aren't going to do more than dent it's shields without help.

But is rhymer cardboard to cardboard with the ship? Plastic isn't enough for shooting (although it IS for GH range.. go go silly armada rules!)

Aside from being mostly a team effort, the Rieekan spam lists had twice as many non-flotillas as these lists. One ship and max flotillas and squads is more telling than worlds that flotillas are a problem.

Good news.. no Rieekan spam.. bad news, twice as many flotillas as the top 4 at worlds.. lateral movement is better than losing ground I suppose..

The card is not exhausted by the target of the attack, so it's not a matter of "stacking" per say, as it exhausts each friendly ship that drops the damage. Can see it working either way... It works similar to BCC then.. a fighter can tap multiple BCC's from different ships. In the foresight article the mistake was a basic rule from the core game, not technically foresight (if you could use 2 evades, foresight would eliminate 4 dice). The APT question is a good one, although I would think if they could shunt the APT damage, it's APT damage and would not be converted to a shield (as it's a direct face up card that ignores shields).. Now.. what about concussion missle damage?

So do you think Hondo will top 90% usage in major tourneys? Near auto-include for both sides?

Realized the Sin City Bowl is the Saturday before (big blood bowl tourney here in vegas) so It would be a very late night to drive down afterward, but still possible. Will be a last minute decision based partly on who can I drag with me to split the travel cost.
