In wave 2 you could. Some bomber list/scenarios could cause problems, but if you picked good scenarios on your part (as either player) you wouldn't get suck in any no-win situations. Wave 3/4 make it a lot harder, the ability to aa fire down a bomber squad while the carrier ships hide is much tougher when they can bcc, having only a cheap flotilla in blitz range, and additionally they can go all-in against you except for a flotilla with their commander running away, which is a bad scenario. Also targeting scramblers can mitigate a significant amount of damage if you are blitzing. It still really depends on what you are more likely to face in whatever tourney scene you participate in. It's not so bleak to say never do it, but taking no squads to a major tourney or into a real bomber heavy meta is a bit of a handicap.

The real use of Xi7 with MK is to lull your mathwing (or is it mathmada?) opponent into either a false sense of security, or get him to play sloppy due to crippling nerdrage.

with Dodonna, spinals and xx9's.. also throw sw7's on the blues. Otherwise, spinals and xi7, I"m agnostic. with wave 5 I'd do spinals and the new one.

Having to buy the stuff from the company to have everything is just normal business. Having to attend exclusive tournaments in order to get the rare thing or pay a fortune on ebay from a 3rd party is bad business, the company doesn't get a cut of the overpriced second-hand sale, and the format is likely to drive away some players who can't make the regular tournaments. alt-art stuff is cool, but does not affect your game if you can't get them. If you aren't going to tourneys, you can proxy any card in the game for free.

Now we just need a "news article anticipation" subforum to be complete

Monferat is vs ships only, he won't help against fighters. Oh yeah, not sure what i was thinking. anyway ive found him useful as people have to use conc fire just not to loose a die. Yeah he's good, I'd hate to see you lose a nationals over flying your ISD into a rhymerball.. worst time to get a rules clarification.

Similar to what Dras is saying.. tanky vs what... I stand by saying the interdictor is as overall tanky as an ISD, but at less cost. Depending on what is being thrown at you, and how you build them ect. There is a much more noticable gap between pickle-80, ISD, and Interdictor vs anything else. Interdictor is by far the most tanky medium ship. It's a very cool ship.

I prefer Bat-yote.

I shall never abandon my blood bowl orc. As for "real" reasons, when GW management shook up they most likely wanted control back, as they have been re-releasing specialist games (Blood Bowl coming this year yay!).. and didn't want to be competing with FFG on products using their IP. FFG picked up all the GW stuff when GW decided they were above petty gaming outside of re-issuing warhammer games.

Ah didn't know that, but vassal does show the full 360 range of "within" that you don't get with a ruler.

I think it is equally tanky as an ISD2 with EC. The repair abilities are sick, and it can pass shields with projection experts, but it's offense is still very weak for the points. It's a good ship, but it's mileage will vary greatly based on the objective and oppent fleet composition. I could see a good dictor list dominate a major tourney if it gets the right matchups, or get smoked with the wrong ones. The new objectives coming out will be a bigger deal for this ship than any other.

Yep the rule is easy with round fighter bases (where the rule is from), it gets a little janky with odd shaped terrain if you don't have Vassal giving you a 3-d overlay.

Imperial Strike Fleet "Hammer of Wrath"
Daht replied to matniccantelmi's topic in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds
with only 2 bombers you might try a different fleet support, and with the saved points maybe add fire control teams to the imp2 (since you have 2 crit cards) and a glad or oe to the raider. -
Or an Errata, or a FAQ covering Errata.

Dang you didn't say you were swinging thru Vegas.

Correllian conflict on pre-order 84 days and counting.

They have "street dates" in USA also, but usually they put out the street date the week before (or of) actual release, and it just makes you wait until Thursday when they ship in on Wed afternoon. -
Jamming Fields: wait, are these insanely good?
