  1. I'm definitely packing Obfuscation x2 in my 19XP Trish deck that I just put together. I'm grateful for this thread, because I was a little fuzzy on the OP question myself. I re-read the Trish chapter in Investigators of Arkham Horror last night, and I'm psyched to play her.
  2. For me, Blob is pretty much tied with Hotel, although I adore the theme of Guardians of the Abyss. You can really see the curve of improvement in the standalone scenarios; I'm very much looking forward to War of the Outer Gods.
  3. We took it on the chin in Return to the City of Archives. Wini was just too fragile with all of her prior trauma, and she was defeated just before we completed the second act. Father Mat made a brave go of it, but some abysmal token draws had him buried under multiple hunter enemies. *sad trombone* We're looking forward to trying a 9-XP Sister Mary and a 19-XP Trish Scarborough in The Blob next time, and then it's on to The Circle Undone with Preston and Luke.
  4. Besides the odious platforms being used, this effort sort of rankles because it seems to be nothing other than enlisting customers to produce advertising. There's an element of that in all "organized play" events, of course, but the tournament-style ones (including co-op meets) could credibly claim to be a means for building and extending communities of play among existing players, and strengthening the game that way.
  5. Facebook and Twitter, huh? Sorry, I was "distanced" from those before the pandemic, and I'm no closer to using them now. 😞
  6. At our house, Mat and Wini are Returning to the Forgotten Age, having just completed Heart of the Elders and looking forward to City of Archives. My Mateo deck is full of bloody curses and pacts. He's the nastiest priest you've ever met. We've got Mary and Trish on deck for the Blob.
  7. Hm. Okay, that's a legit question. I always sort of thought they were revealed "by" the Hunting Horror, and 'gator abilities wouldn't apply.
  8. Does it even matter? The draw is supposed to be random, and not depend on any player's choice or ability. I'd say the lead 'gator can do it or delegate it to another player. But as long as no one at the table is hung up about it, it should just be whoever has the bag.
  9. I don't think so. "After you initiate" refers to the point in time during the test sequence, not to "why" the test is being performed. If a Treachery requires a test, it's still the player/'gator doing the test. They take the damage as soon as it starts.
