  1. A mature and sophisticated 36-year-old...err...maybe not mature and sophisticated, but 36 nonetheless.
  2. TRIPLE D's Colonel Vessery (37) Twin Ion Engine Mk. II (1) Tractor Beam (1) TIE/D (0) Adaptability +1 (0) Countess Ryad (33) Twin Ion Engine Mk. II (1) TIE/x7 (-2) Juke (2) Delta Squadron Pilot (28) TIE/x7 (-2)
  3. Granted, I've never played in a tournament, but I've had some success in casual friendly games with: Redline (38) Guidance Chips (0) Extra Munitions (2) Fire Control System (2) Plasma Torpedoes (3) Cluster Missiles (4) 2 x Tempest Squadron Pilots (25) Guidance Chips (0) TIE/x1 (0) Accuracy Corrector (0) Cluster Missiles (4) Academy Pilot (12)
  4. I personally like the D as with the times I tested the list, the 2nd shot helps significantly. I feel like the TIE/D and his Target Lock ability is a perfect match. I think the Colonel's pilot ability paired with the TIE/D Title is one of the best in the game from an offensive standpoint. I just can't see myself giving Vessery the other title, especially in a three-ship meta when you're going to have target locks on at least 2/3rds of your opponent's squadron.

  6. I definitely agree, the pilot upgrade for only one extra point is a no-brainer. I think the Colonel's inherent pilot ability is probably one of the best in the game when it's paired with the TIE/D title. Especially, when Vessery's allies can fly around painting targets for him and throwing in an occasional block plus, they're gaining that free evade almost every turn. 7. I haven't flown a pair of Tie-Defenders in a four-build list yet and I think I might have to give it a try. However, I just can't get around giving the Colonel anything other than the TIE/D title because of his inherent pilot ability allowing him to modify both attacks with an ally's Target Lock. Adding on a secondary weapon like Ion Cannon or Tractor Beam allows you to either control the board a bit better by dictating the opponents next maneuver, or it lets your lower PS pilots better their attacks when their target is throwing one less defense die. As far as the Countess, I really like using Juke with the TIE/x7 card rather than PTL because it adds an offensive threat when you gain an evade token with the title ability and in a way it substitutes for the focus token that you want to take without having to use a PTL upgrade. Although, I would much rather switch the Tie Fighters out for a loaded generic TIE-Advanced or Prototype because they have TL's that help Vessery out even more, I kept with your 4-ship general theme: Colonel Vessery (39) Twin Ion Engine Mk. II (1) Ion Cannon (3) TIE/D (0) Countess Ryad (33) Twin Ion Engine Mk. II (1) TIE/x7 (-2) Juke (2) Wampa (14) Academy Pilot (12) You can also substitute out the Ion Cannon for Tractor Beam and gain two points to upgrade Wampa to Dark Curse or whatever else you want.
  8. Entertainment Weekly released their new issue today and a Star Wars Rogue One article headlines their cover. Not only is Darth Vadar going to be making an appearance in the newest movie, but three TIE Strikers are also shown flying over the beach head. MSN's Entertainment Weekly's link states, "The movie will feature never-before-seen vehicles, like the fang-toothed TIE Strikers as well as some sinister new classes of Stormtroopers." I'm sure it's only going be a matter of time until FFG announces the TIE-Striker release. http://www.guidelive.com/geek/2016/06/22/rogue-one-star-wars-story-darth-vader-ew http://www.msn.com/en-us/movies/gallery/bonus-rogue-one-photos-and-some-burning-questions-about-the-star-wars-movie/ss-AAhAYB5?li=BBnb7Kz

  11. I'm planning on flying a squadron very similar to this build on Friday. However, I've swapped out the Barons with two: Tie-Advanced Tempest Squadron (21) Title: TIE/x1 (0) Accuracy Corrector (0) Guidance Chips (0) Cluster Missile (4)
