  1. What are your thoughts on the First order repairing Smokes ship? Or doing a Darth Maul and Smoke lives with metal legs?
  2. Super Star Destroyer discussion thread

Looks good! The board I have started for testing (only 3 tests so far) is 20" long and 7 1/4 wide (because the board I found in the garage was that wide). I model I wanted to scale is 1000 mm (39.3 inches). I have a mark about 5.25 inches from the front where I notch the movement tool, so that the rear does not swing so far. Keep up the work for testing.
  3. Devs have checked out.

Must resist....wife points running low.....stay on target......stay on target......
  4. July and August are "Be Careful Months"

Thank you Mynock podcast for the mention of July and August are now “Be Careful Months”. Episode 76 time index 2:14:32 To answer Dee’s question, I have not missed an Xwing event because of the ‘40 weeks’ time frame. It happened to one of the Armada players for the November 2016 Worlds. However, this is the first time I was able to issue the PSA. This is the first time we are 9 months before Worlds. (November 2016 Worlds and May 2017 Worlds are 6 months apart). Like Dallas said (MPE76 @ 2:15:50) “we have not had a real end to a season so far.”
  5. July and August are "Be Careful Months"

That is also a very good caution to be thinking of.
  6. At this past Worlds (May 2017), Ardaedhel and I discussed when to post this PSA. Ardaedhel, do you have anything further to add?
  7. For those that are planning to go to FFG Worlds May 2018, July and August are now “Be Careful Months”. July 28, 2017 is 40 weeks away from May the 4th, 2018. The average length of human gestation is 40 weeks. However, only about four per cent births are 40 weeks later. Without any prior proper planning, what are the odds that you might have a higher priority to the maternity ward than being at FFG during Worlds? Some would say “3720 to 1”. Others might quickly answer, “200%”. Whatever you calculate, your plan for being there starts long before May the 4th. (There might be annual events that have higher priority as well, like if you get married on May the 4th, your anniversary will prevent you from going to Worlds every year.)

  10. Dreams do come true!

    3720 to 1
  11. I laughed hard at this. Like an opening scene, sets the stage like I am really there watching. It happens.

  14. Captain Kelvan TiBeerius Looking back at the picture I took, it was against Bossk and Tractor Beaming Ketsu Onyo? (to go along with the 3 PS1 jumpmasters that had the Spacetug Tractor Array upgrades), Fenn Rau , 2 TLT Ywings, and 3 IG88s. I would like to do a big shout out to Calen Wong “The Epic Squad Father” for his big help in building this list! I had only 1 hour to switch from playing Armada to getting ready for Epic without having a team mate or knowing what to fly. Calen, thank you for list building while I make 5 trips to the car to bring in all my Xwing (+epic) and put away my Armada stuff. 200 points PILOTS Storm Squadron Pilot (23) x 2 TIE Advanced (23), TIE/x1 (0), Accuracy Corrector (0) Gamma Squadron Veteran (22) TIE Bomber (19), TIE Shuttle (0), Adaptability (0), Operations Specialist (3) Glaive Squadron Pilot (40) x 2 TIE Defender (34), Ion Cannon (3), Predator (3), TIE/D (0) Colonel Vessery (36) TIE Defender (35), Swarm Leader (3), TIE/x7 (-2) “Dark Curse” (16) --------------------------------------------------------------------------- 198 points PILOTS Raider-class Corvette (fore) (62) Raider-class Corvette (50), Assault Missile(5), Sensor Team (4), Impetuous (3) Raider-class Corvette (aft) (80) Raider-class Corvette (50), Rear Admiral Chiraneau (3), Weapons Engineer (3), Homing Missile x2 (10), Gunnery Team (4), Ordnance Experts (5), Ordnance Tubes (5) Captain Kagi (31) Lambda-Class Shuttle (27), Sensor Jammer (4) Captain Jonus (25) TIE Bomber (22), TIE Shuttle (0), Operations Specialist (3) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kagi prevents the other team form getting early target locks. Jonus stays behind the Raider at range 1 for 2 rerolls and hands out focus tokens with OperSpec to non-epic ships. The Raider gets 2 target locks (Weapons Engineer) at range 5 (Sensor Team), uses Homing missiles first so as to not spend the Target lock (Jonus rerolls), then Assault Missile or Primary next. Rear Admiral Chiraneau is used by Captain Tibeerius to run over an extra ship. PS6 (Adaptability) Gamma Sqd Vet fires FIRST, tries to miss to proc the Operations Specialist to give focus to others that have a Target lock. Tie Advanced Stormies and Dark Curse take evade actions to add dice to Vessery for Swarm leader (2 dice boost). Accuracy corrector makes sure the Stormies attack is 2 hits without needing a TL or Focus. Glaives take TL and get a focus later from Operations Specialist.
  15. Kelvan, I finished listening to the last podcast. Thanks for the shout out for our epic game. However, don’t sell yourself short in our team game. We both worked to win that one. You provided valuable insights on where the opposing team was going to move during our planning phase. Your insights were our key to victory. That, and the sweet crushing of the 3 ships at the end!
