Thought I didn't have to buy ships not in my faction

I have the entire 1.0 collection, but opted for S&V for now in 2.0. Not having the Moldy Crow title available putting my list together yesterday was disappointing. Not having the title for a ship that I've owned for 3+ years is feelsbadman. "Palob Godalhi was the chief aide to Winfrid Dagore during the Galactic Civil War. He came into possession of the Moldy Crow when Dagore was captured by IG-72 and Dace Bonearm; though he later landed it in the Rebel ship New Hope, giving it to the Alliance for their missions. From there, the ship was requisitioned by Kyle Katarn. "

Collection photos to show why 2.0 will cost you a lot

This would be a great time to make the proof of purchase punch-outs worth something. Maybe the distributer could give store credit towards a conversion kit,, $2 per punchout? Or mail-in punch-outs for discount coupons?

Half points should work on small ships as well

Which makes the examples given even worse. Because if PWT's are that bad against a 4 TLT list, then there's no reason why one of the YT's shouldn't of been killed. Half this thread is pointing out why that one person's examples of why this is bad are really, really bad examples. There is no reason at all two YT's should ever leave a ship with 1hp left on the table. If someone does that they qutie frankly deserve to lose, and not a modified loss either, they deserve a 200-0 loss, because they are really, really bad at this game. We may very well see part points for small ships, but there's no doubt in my mind they did this like they did to see how it goes and adjust as needed. No matter how improbable (or really, really, really, really bad) the examples are, they are possible, and its a huge point skew for a loss.

But seriously, half point value for all ships seems silly, but so is half point for large ships. The example most give is that some large base ships can turtle when down to 1-2 hp and time out a match. Would making the half-ship value mov scoring apply once a large base is down to 2hp (regardless of ship) have the proper affect?

Funny how bashing people for running 2-ship builds is the norm around here. “Two ships w/turrets bad….4 ship w/turrets good” I run Chewbo because I feel it covers a lot of bases defensively and offensively against a variety of lists. Not because it’s a good list to run away when time runs out. Now that list has been nerfed (all be it mildly) because of the general consensus (QQ-ing as you call it). As far as “married to a 2 ship list” is concerned, I also have won tourneys with BBXY (1 Winter, 1 Store Champ). Is that an acceptable list to you? If you perceive a discussion about the effects of large base MOV rule changes as QQ-ing , and enjoy it, well…it sounds like you have personal beef against said lists. Whooped you too many times? This This..

For this to happen the pancake player would have to be really, really bad. Chewie and Leebo have massive defensive advantages and are quite mobile, while the Ys are clunky and really have no defense but their hull points. It's quite easy to focus down a Y, but for a PS2 player to focus down Leebo when he moves last, does de facto 5-straights and then barrel rolls into the croissant? Barely possible. I don't agree that Chewbo has "massive defensive advantages" against TLT. Four TLT focus fire gets through anything on the table. Lets throw in 4bz. Two vs five ships. 13hp lost on Chewbo and 33hp lost on 4bz (2b-1hp each and 1z-1hp remain). This seems justified/warranted? As some one who fly's Chewe and Leebo a lot I can tell you if you lose a match to 4 Y wing with TLT or BBBBZ you are doing something wrong vs 4 Wing TLT by the second round a Y wing should have dropped by the 3rd another another by the 5th and the last on the 6th if it takes longer then 7 round of shooting work out what your doing wrong and fix it BBBBZ almost the same amount of rounds 8 to 9 rounds of combat at the most If you doubt this click on my YouTube channel below the are a lot o Chewe Leebo match's to learn from. one of the main reasons I stoped playing it was I got sick of playing with the same list all the time Bad games and dice do happen but most of the time the Bash Brothers will dominate my list Chewbacca (42) Predator (3) C-3PO (3) "Leebo" (34) Predator (3) Heavy Laser Cannon (7) Recon Specialist (3) Outrider (5) Total: 100 View in Yet Another Squad Builder I would also like to add if you don't build Chewe Leebo like this you also doing it wrong I admit that I’ve used extreme examples for this discussion, but however improbable they are, they are possible, and it’s a huge negative hp spread for a loss. And for the record I fly Chewbo as well ; Chewbacca (42) Predator (3) C-3PO (3) Recon Specialist (3) Millennium Falcon (1) "Leebo" (34) Predator (3) "Mangler" Cannon (4) Jan Ors (2) Outrider (5) Total: 100 View in Yet Another Squad Builder I’ve done alright with it (1 store champ, 1 Summer Kit and 1 Regional) all while “doing it wrong”. Like you I am also hanging this list up as I play it too much (well I do feel I have to run it at least one more tourney to see the effect of the new ruling) . Please note the lack of run-and-hide engine upgrades.

I need to get some of those magic dice you have. Maybe I would be as confident as you are in your outcome. Anyhow, skillz and dice aside, the events listed above are possible.

So theoretically, in a match with chewie/leebo vs 4y TLT, Chewie could lose 7hp, Leebo 5hp (total 13hp) and the 4 y could lose 7 hp each (total 28hp) and the TLT's win? That's a match with a all turrets, 2 vs 4 ships. Also a potential of 5 rounds of shooting for Chewbo vs 2 rounds of shooting for TLT. This seems skewed.

This happened at our regional tournament, thoughts

Although names/places aren't given, this sounds alot like my regional experience last weekend, to which I will comment. To the op: Player A conceded. Player B had no choice in the matter, even after Player B immediatley took the matter to the T.O. and pointed out that Player A should have dropped before pairings. The lowest score at that point should have got the bye. And, it should be noted player B play tested his but off against the meta in preparation for regionals, and to penalize him for another opponents actions (player A, whom player B had never met before this event) would be the wrong answer. So lessons learned here; - Let the T.O know before the pairings are started if you are going to have to drop from the event. Offering a concede to a an opponent may seem like cool thing to do. But when you give the concede to an opponent at a regionals, who won two store championships, and is know locally as being a competitive player, player A wasn't doing anyone any favors by conceding. - Coming to this public form and suggesting that there was collusion in this matter is slanderous. - Take yer salty post and shove it
