I still had hopes this would never happen.

Check that (very good) article and release news:
https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/news/2018/5/4/the-wizards-quest/
https://darklingdoor.wordpress.com/2018/08/12/spoiler-alert-the-wizards-quest/
And yes, it'll be available later.

That thread is going to derive on the Blue Wizards as always ?

First: the card game is amazing. If the digital appeals to you, then why not also try the card game.
In that case the Starter Set is obviously a good starting point.
The card game is playable solo.
You can also play the game « two handed » meaning you pkay the two decks against Sauron. Lots of players actually favor two handed play.

I have also shared a pdf version of the companion on the discord channel. It’s a complete compendium of rules and rule sheet that might be readable or converted to kindle

The Quest Companion mobile version has a one column layout that makes it quite readable on your mobile device.

I feel like Swift Strike is a bit underrated in the current meta. 2 tactics resources is not as expensive as it used to be.

Yes it may be a caching issue

The QC is up to date (up to Wilds of Rhovanion).
The campaign log is complete (with the Mountain of Fire quests).

There may have been a database loss when the site was down unfortunately.
I’ll check the Aragorn thing, it should appear but I’m currently on holiday so it will have to wait until August.
@TragicTheBlathering what information on nightmare would you like to see? I’ve wondered for a while but can’t see what information would be interesting, the setup card provide all the info you need. Nightmares are not rules per se, rather a mod of the scenario.
easy mode is included because it did not exist at the beginning of the game and you need a list of cards for earlier encounter sets.

If you can’t wait for some player cards I have player cards for a dozen adventure packs (not the quests). Let me know if you’re interested. I’m in France so hopefully we can work out acceptable shipping.

Well, see for yourself

Wilds of Rhovanion are going live in a few days

13 hours ago, tripecac said:I enjoy handling, looking at, and reading about the cards. I like listening to the podcasts and watching the progression series videos. I read the forum (and BGG) on an almost daily basis. I daydream about playing.
I think this is a good way to enjoy this game. I spend more time doing what you describe than playing the game. And I’m sure it’s quite common.
Just make your peace with that!

I do the exact opposite. All my encounter cards are sleeved but I only sleeve the player cards of my current decks
-
The best way to enjoy this game is to play it.
I think a lot of us spend more time thinking and writing about the game than actually playing it, and are ok with that.
I think the main issue you may have is that you want a card game but want to play it as a computer game.
Yes, taking a deck out of your binder takes 24minutes, and 2.4 seconds on octgn. So you’ll find yourself playing the same deck quite a number of times with the physical cards, tweaking it, adapting it to tour play experience and many expected defeat. That is supposed to be thr game experience delivered by this game. And once your deck is built, taking it out of the deckbox is 2.4 seconds, setting up the quest a few minutes at most then go and play.
You just have to accept you won’t be changing your deck every time you play.
Also, you can prepare your deckbuilding on ringsdb and once you have your list, the extraction of cards is certainly not 24minutes.
Slow down and enjoy the sleeving/desleeving, it soothes the mind!
-
Looking at those gorgeous cards in their binder and slowly taking them out to build a deck is precisely what OCTGN can’t give you. I also find it helps being creative just because you stumble upon seldom used cards which you’d never have included in a build otherwise.
But from what I could understand on your topic on canonical deck, you do not enjoy that part of the game.

I don’t think a mordor cycle is any less likely that say... a Harad one!

That's a good deal of work. But I'd be interested in seeing that kind of thing. I've been claimoring for these things since the beginning of the game.

The pod is a sort of pvp variant. Look at the news ‘The Wizard’s Quest’ about a month ago. Definitely not Scouring!

This is due to the nature of LOTR LCG fandom which is dispersed in several places. The discord channel is super active, the facebook page and boardgamegeek forums see a lot of conversation (and a never ending influx of new players, as I see new faces each time I go there).
A lot of people left the LOTR FFG forums due to the constant negativity and aggressiveness of certain individuals (who have not been the same over time). That's a fact.

Does the digital version not have a dedicate forum?

A subforum would be nice
