Truth is, we don't know.  From what little I can tell from the film, he used to work at a Jedi Temple, but whether he was a full-fledged Jedi or just some other type of Force-Using Warrior that did guard duty, I can't say for certain.  Also, the Whills are mentioned.  So, slowly but surely, we are starting to get back bits of the Legends verse.

You think any of the people (writers, etc.) played any star Wars rpg's?  Probably not, but still.

Also, do you think the Ghost was able to escape? Was that one ship the Ghost at all? Did we just end up seeing the end of Rebels?  W/ the ship and crew going ker-plowy!?  TTnTT

Alas, I'm pretty sure the Yeti w/ the bfg's (Morof) and that guy they made an action figure of w/ the flappy mouth (Commander Pao) are dead now too.  TTnTT

    AND WHAT ABOUT BOOMER!?!?!?  TTnTT

    He's not the GM.

    Also...
-You Know You're Playing Deathwatch when a bunch of Khornate Demons invade the Imperial Palace and the Wolf Priest engages in a desperate gambit to attempt to get the enemy troops numbers diminished and to distract Khorne by calling him a hypocritical coward who hides behind his troops and refuses to tone down his powers to make the battle into an actual battle instead of a curbstomp.  Which backfires horribly and leads to the above battle.  But it's okay because everyone survives, the new guy is now near-ascenscion in DH standards, and everyone gains 2 fate (even though most of us still have less fate than when we started the battle with due to said burning) and 2K xp.
-Also when said Wolf Priest Keeps yelling "YOU SHALL NOT PASSSS!!!!!" whenever his Wolf Amulet keeps deflecting blows from said Demon, who has now more or less, become an Avatar of Khorne and looks like a friggin' Balrog from LOTR.

I'm kind of sad over this as Alien Invaders are my fav or the four Genre's (I know Cthulhu is technically Wrath of Gods, but well, he's an alien too, sooo...  ).  So wanted to find someone doing the Martian Invaders one.  Do some fun old-school 50's-60's Sci-Fi.  I just love old stuff such as "Mars Attacks" and the original "Invaders From Mars."  You know, the sort of thing you'd see on MST3K.

When you give your players a shot at legendary glory, and all they have to do is show just a little teamwork after fighting together for over 12k xp worth of adventures, and instead they decide not just to kill each other, but the campaign as well.

Haven't played RT yet (still learning and playing DW), but I can't help but think you are in a RT Game when you hear this music come on every time you arm and equip your landing party.

When the insane Explorator says he's going to save the Imperium and the party says good luck. Three sessions of him only appearing out of the under ship bilge decks to requisition items from planets we visit the Rogue Trader goes down to see what he's doing because none of the ship systems are working.

He has a city of over two thousand scribes, acolytes, and assistants down there helping him convert the power from the engine into a giant machine that he created by reverse engineering force weapon technology to try and pull the Emperors mind back into his body, and he has an 8 page plan with an explanation of the technical details on how it should work. He's currently managed to annex the ship using weaponized servitors and is flying it to Terra.

    1. War Between Worlds-I'm a sucker for cheezy 50's Scifi and "Mars Attacks" type stuff.
    2. Brotherhood of Babylon-"V"/Conspiracy Illuminati Lizard Ppl. ftw!
    3. Visages-I like Pod ppl., but I prefer a more John Carpenter's "The Thing"/"Who Goes There" type scenario where they're not just generic pod ppl, but can mutate and shape shift as well.
    4. Rising Tides-Kind of "meh" over Atlantis Invading.  Feels more like a prequel to "Waterworld" w/ a forceful "Birdemic"-esque environmental message thrown in and aliens.  Might've been better if they threw in some Bermuda Triangle mythology as well and/or made the aliens a bit more Greco-Roman and maybe throw in a bit of Egyptian as well (due to the origins of the myth).
    5. Skitter-Don't know why this is "alien."  This feels more like a "mutated wildlife" scenario a la "Them!"  This might be fun to mix w/ War Between World if you want to do a "Mars Attacks!" scenario and just re-skin the greys as the "Mars Attacks!" aliens.  Ack ack ack ack ack!  Still, I think this slot would've been better for a "The Thing"-esque scenario, despite being how similar it would be w/ Visages.

Also, look forward to combing some of these scenarios (In particular, "Brotherhood of Babylon") w/ the Cthulhu and/or Quetzalcoatl Scenarios of Wrath of Gods.  Would love to see Quetzalcoatl/Kulkulkhan chew out the lizards for mistreating humanity and maybe see the Mayans fight off the aliens as they attempt to land their ships on top of their pyramids.

I think they left it open-ended on purpose to jolt the players and GM's imagination.  Alas, this can also lead to alot of arguing.  :-/   If anything else, remind the players that the GM's word is final in cases such as these.  I'm going to assume "Warrior of Old" for example would add one or two positive dice to a melee attack.

With all due respect, I find it hard to believe the "solo" guy is in the military as you pretty much get pounded into your head that you are a team and success depends on the team working together as a unit from day one.  You're pretty much taught being a lone gunman is a sure-fire way of getting yourself killed.

Yeah, don't forget the ending of theTau Campaigns in the Dawn of War Series and the recent re-writes of the Codexes.  They have been subtly hinting that they have been wiping out some allied races with sterlization and disease.  Not to mention being allies w/ Brain Parasites?  That's a disaster waiting to happen-even if they are probably good for interrogations.  Also, the Tau reacting to human tech was done in the Fire Warrior Shooter.  The degree to how well however is debateable.

Edit:  TBH, I missed the old Tau.  They were the closest thing to a "good guy" faction in 40K, even if the look of the Army felt off compared to the others.  Now it seems they are slowly sliding into "Grimderp" territory like the other factions.  :-/
