So many happy memories.  I miss that show.  TTnTT  Btw, that guy is still alive, he does travelling drawing classes, a youtube channel, and an online course website.

Yeah, we've had that.  A guy firing what was pretty much a hand-held tank cannon into a mob of marines fighting each other.  As well as myself throwing a frag grenade into a fight between a demon and an ally assault marine on the logic that "eh...the odds are the dice won't be high enough to damage him.  It's not Krak after all."  Both of which are signs you're playing Deathwatch.

    Also:
-When you try to call for fire danger close from an allied ship in orbit instead of just buying the Lance Strike Requistion in "Rites of Battle."
-When working as part of a Ground Campaign you attempt to call in Fighter-Bombers instead of (again) buying the Requisition in "Rites of Battle."
-When one guy always tries to requisition one meltabomb, one vortex, and one stasis "just in case.
-When you attempt to stop an Ork Gargant by crashing your Thunderhawk into it's head and to fight your way to the Bridge...and succeed!
-When a Khorne Demon secretly stalks your Kill Team and "loves you" because you cause such a huge kill tally despite being loyalists to the Corpse Emporer.  Note I'm talking about Deathwatch and not Black Crusade.  -_-'
-You attempt to call for reinforcements/back-up in a heated situation despite being Adeptus Astartes because you're that deep in it.  And you only landed or ported about a minute ago in actual time and not game time.  -_-'  Despite the fact that you know the chances of actually getting help is slim-to-none.
-And despite the fact that getting help is slim-to-none, it sometimes happens.

Yup, main killer and source of injuries in the modern Mideast Wars are IEDS, RPG's, Grenades.  IED's being the big one.  Sniping takes up 2'nd.

I rather like this idea.  Thank you.  I was thinking the potato Kessel could be a asteroid/planetoid that was further/deeper in orbit than the "Rebels" Kessel.

"Oh, this is going to be fun.  I wonder what mess I'll have to clean up this time?"

"Our chances of getting into this station are approximately going to be...why am I even telling you this?  We're going in anyway, aren't we?"

"Congratulations.  You have been drafted into the Rebellion.  Enjoy what few months of life you have left."

"Why am I in charge of getting us in?  Oh yes, it's because I still have my old coat of paint, isn't it?  Bunch of droidcists."

"You're lucky I've been reprogrammed.  I would've disintegrated the lot of you ages ago.  Not because I was an imperial, but because you are illogical and annoying."

"I'm not paid enough for this.  It's because I'm a droid, isn't it?"

Sorry, I just had to spitball the sort of lines that this character would say in other adventures.

Your GM ever considered adopting parts of the "Gumshoe" Ruleset that is used in the RPG "Trail of Cthulhu" and in others?  Basically, long story short, if you have a skill in something, you'll discover some sort of clue, it's just that the clue you'll find if you "fail" won't be particularly good.  But it's still better than nothing.  Here's a review of one of the games that uses Gumshoe if you're interested in cannibalizing parts of it to get an investigation to move forward.

Also, anyone get a "Blade Runner" feel from the first several scenes of the Movie w/ the Rebel Agents in the City District?

It just seems that this movie was not only a Star Wars film, but a love letter to Blade Runner, Mad Max, and modern (80's-present) Vietnam and WWII War Films in general  (Apocalypse Now, Platoon, Private Ryan, etc...).

Is it wrong that I actually liked the first half more due to the gritty war and occupation setting it had?   I feel like I'm in a very small minority here.

I personally like the idea of using a Holocron Windu.  Your character can still "learn" form him w/o opening the can of worms as to whether he's alive or not.  Plus, Holocrons are powerful things that many factions would want (Sith and Jedi to learn, Criminals to sell for credits, etc...).  Finding and keeping a Holocron is practically an adventure in itself!
