Jost is a powerful force user, but very focused on the force with few other skills. This is a very narrow focus, but a great addition to a team. Force ranking of 3 is will allow for impressive actions. Move, or "Force Push" is very powerful when you have a high force rating.
He can be the "I know the force" guy for the group. Perhaps put more ranks into Lore (over time)?

I'm ready!
Now to see if those xp were spent correctly, or if I should have gone with the Chadra-fan Politico.

Great! In this game lots of mechanicing seems to be needed. I would volunteer to go straight mechanic type if none available, but in earlier posts I noticed the talk about taking armorer and artisan.
I was tempted to take mechanic ranks just so I could mod my own lightsaber (with the lower difficulty since it would be 'his own'). May still do that, likely jury rigged' it as well. Can one get an assist from someone else and still be considered modding their own lightsaber? That would help many characters be able to do it themselves, like any good Jedi should.

On the orokos.com site the purple dice's intial to use is d for difficulty dice. So 2eD would roll 2 purple dice.
Your character appears to be the only one with any good chance at being a good mechanic. Are you sure you don't want to give him a few ranks/bump intellect to at least 3? I think we may need that. Also could double as healing (especially if get heal force power with control upgrade for strain). I don't mind putting ranks into mechanics from gadgeteer, but beselisk have very limited xp to start with and so his intellect is only 2. We could do combined rolls with your intellect and my ranks if you want, especially with the your gearhead talent. Just some thoughts.

Destiny (to begin!): 1eF 1 Dark Side
Well this isn't good. Perhaps a Dark Jedi game out of necessity?

test roll: 2eA+1eP+1eF+2eS+1eC 1 failure, 2 advantage, 2 Light SideNice, straight adding bbcode works -
I believe we are going to use orokos.com for rolls?
(this next section is for those who have not used it before)
If you have not used orokos.com before you may want to go take a gander. Basically you end up putting the number of dice you want to roll, then the letter 'e' (for edge of empire I am guessing) then the first letter of the name of the die (a=ability die, etc), then put a '+' then add additional dice you want.
Example: 2 green +1 yellow+1 force die + 2 set back + 1 difficulty +1 red die
2eA+1eP+1eF+2eS+1eC
see actual roll: http://orokos.com/roll/406701
See help section: http://orokos.com/roll/?action=dicehelp
the letter for each dice are listed there
then you can just post the link to your dice in the post.
Does anyone know if it can be integrated to show the results in a post?

Yah!
My pre-prequel EU/Legends knowledge is not complete, @GMRen when you have time could you also give a general introduction to the current state of the Star Wars galaxy. ie: Major powers and their influence (Republic, Hutts, corporations, etc), prominence/influence/general view of the jedi, major/recent galactic wars. Doesn't have to be extensive, I just need a framework to help get me out of ABY 1 mindset.

Thanks, missed that, updated, again.
As for move power it seems to be a Force dice roll (to get pips needed to activate the power)+ a Discipline check vs. The silhouette size as the difficulty. Damage is silhouette x10 (5 damage for silhouette.0).
Many have mentioned making it an opposed check for nemesis opponents.
You have to get both enough force pips to do the move (with the upgrades as needed) and succeed at the Discipline check to hit.
I am sure that others can help clarify further if I got something wrong.

I am just happy there is a good way to get a basic character sheet up to share, they will likely get the Besalisk in soon.
Thanks for the catch, will update.

Okay, I have finalized Ping, the Besalisk Ataru Striker. After he escaped his life-long slavery (from some time after birth to 18 years of age), he continued his training with the broken holocron in secret (in game terms it is just a narrative way to get him the Ataru Striker knowledge), but worked as a weapons expert/weapons trainer/body guard/gunner while moving from system to system (this would be the reason that he is a gadgeteer). Recently he has 'come across' a lightsaber and now he can begin his training in earnest.
I purchased a Double sided hilt with his starting funds and he is ready to go.
This is the SW Sheets link
And here is a PDF version
His role will be mainly as a Engaged-range fighter, with good soak/wound threshold. Will use force leap to move around (when the force dice allow), and will have back-up ranged weapons skills.
I am also looking forward to Savage Spirits for a specialty to get him another force rating that will match him well, although Hunter is close.

My name over at rolplayinggames.net is dtdunn. I will be using 5 morality for xp, 5 for 1000 credits, taking a lightsaber. I still need to put in all the talents but this xp expenditure is detailed in the assets section. Let me know if you have any questions/concerns.

I would like to join your game, please consider Ping, a Besalisk Aturu Striker: http://swsheets.com/c/gbca20uas-ping--spaz-----
I have the books needed (actually all of them), have experience as both GM and player, and will be able to post regularly.
The sheet is nearly complete, just need to calculate encumbrance, credit use.

Nice work on this sheet, it includes everything needed. I did notice though that the rending quality seem low, especially compared to the FFG online PDF sheets. See attached comparisons. I import the PDF and use it as the background in a spreadsheet to make my own "fillable" version. Any way to improve the resolution of the PDF?

Thanks!

The trek from through the desert was a difficult one for Ping. It wasn't the lack of food, for he was able to fast for upto a week at a time, nor was it the lack of water, although he was getting quite dehydrated. It was the heat. While he was not raised on a cool planet, but he knew he wasn't made for this level of heat. Sweating profusely with dust and dirt stuck to his skin, he was glad to see there was a town insight.
The bitter water at the edge of town helped his thirst, but seems to have just smeared the dirt over his face. However even with the ill-fated trip, the crash on a desolate planet, the heat and lack of food and water didn't quell his personality. He remained optimistic and light-hearted throughout the hike to civilization. His energetic personality, sometimes called 'sporadic' or even 'impulsive,' still shown through.
And now with the blaster fire from in the town, a curious smile came across his face as he lept into action. Light on his feet the youthful Besalisk rapidly made his way to the center of the action. Even as he approached his experience with weapons began to give him an idea of the number of fighters. However being relatively unarmed, so to speak (for someone with 4 arms), he held cover in a position close enough to monitor the situation.
"the man turns his gun on you, albeit he's not firing, Names Teleth, who are you and what do you want? He asks."
Remaining calm and non-threatening Ping generally ignores the gun leveled at him. In his usual excited manner he blurts out, "My name is Ping. My colleagues and I have just happened upon your town at our hour of need."
Immediately though he jumps to another topic, something that doesn't surprise the others in his group. "They were not very friendly. Are they always that way? Are they your friends? They didn't act like your friends. Shooting blasters rarely solves problems. Well, it solves SOME problems, but not the good kind of problems" By now he has all four arms gesturing wilding and he only pauses to get a breathe in.
