That Attack upgrade definitely could have been worded better, something along the lines of:

"The Force User is capable of causing damage using target object. Any attempt to cause such damage requires a Discipline check with the difficulty being equal to the Silhouette of the target object. Both the target object and the second object it collides with suffer 10 damage per Silhouette of the target object (Sil 0 = 5)."

Why does the FaD core book remove the "Discipline" part of the move control upgrade for hurling objects? It says do a ranged attack but it doesn't say which skill. I read the entire section but it doesn't seem to say which skill to use. In the EotE book it is clearly discipline, and most here have assumed that, but has it been clarified by Errata or a developer?

The pretty Twi'lek Lieutenant looks at the droid, grim determination on her face. "We can't. We'll have to leave him for now and secure the base first. Then come for him. Hopefully he'll make it. If not, nothing we can do about it."

Helping the doctor N97 places the heavily injured man in a sheltered area, helps to stabilize him has much as possible, removes his armor and then secures him to the remains of the shuttle.

He took his usual tactical position in group as they made their way to the cave. Once there he drops the extra gear and helps to secure the prisoners.

As with any situation, his mind immediately starts to analyse for setting up for his job in the team: materials support, equipment maintenance and repair, munitions creation/modification. Those things have to wait for the area to be secure first, but others are better at that part so he continues to stand guard over the prisoners

  3. N97 silently works to ready the group for the trip to the cave. He ticks off a list of tasks: inventory and securing gear, double check the security of the combatants,  and then the many calculations used in processing distance, weather and terrain.

Finally, he turns to the Lt. and asks: "Inquiry: Shall I construct a drag sled to bring the injured man with us?"

  4. From his vantage point the Droid N97 can see that the path of the 2 enemy troops will cross with Pvt Oro. Also noted is the typical emotional and physical display of an aggressive combatant. N97 had parsed the statements that the Lieutenant made to the enemy combatant as a promise, if possible, of their safety. However N97 is not in charge of the Private. Pvt Oro is part of the larger rebellion against the Empire and he has to make his own choices.

When Lt. Ataka steps in and takes control of the situation N97 notes that this is likely a good thing for the private. He has seen the emotional cost that killing places on most organics.

Moving forward he makes his usual display of an 'intimidating stance'. This is something that doesn't really come naturally to him. It was his comrades from his far past that helped him fine tune the position, specifically how to point his weapon, adjustments of his eye colors and having his weapons make their activation sounds. His own touch is the application of those ideas to the industrial tool integrated into his arm, and this is what he points at the 2 missileers.

  5. N97 completes the retraction of the industrial tool and readies the blaster rifle. Rotating his torso first, his feet then follow. He follows the Lieutenant in measured mechanical steps. He surveys the area and then takes a low position, using his battle experience to place himself in an advantageous position relative to the ridge the enemy is occupying.

  6. N97 slowly rotates his head toward the lieutenant. "Orders?" the question is put up on his upper chest display strip.

He has worked long enough with the rebellion, small military groups and with Lt. Atala to know what orders are most likely in-coming, but patience is something that comes easy to him. Though time is measured in partial nano-seconds, he doesn't have the same sensation that organics have for the passing of time. To him it is merely another measurement his designers and programmers have him mark and integrate into his functions.

  7. The droid notices that the group of wilderness cave-dwellers (perhaps an accurate term, even it if doesn't convey the typical meaning) are dressed with Black Sun emblems, but are not dressed in the typical style of the syndicates shock-troops. To Ensign Noman and Lt. Atala he comms, "Observation: While they have the Black Sun patches, it is an odd coincidence for Black Sun to have such a remote enclave. These are not dressed as typical syndicate thugs. It will be an interesting story to find out their reasons for being so far from civilization."  Apparently the combat revved up the droids programs as he seems more talkative than usual.

  8. After giving the list of materials to Lt. Atala he also comms the other three team members. "Status: Supplies gained from enemy combatants: . ." he goes to list the armor and blasters detail. He leaves it up to them to determine if they would have a need for any equipment changes.

He then inspects the commlinks and determines their frequency. To the full team he silently gives this information. "Update: The two man missle team is on comm frequency . . " and gives them the details.

Taking one of their comlinks he opens a small panel and attaches it inside his chassis, connecting it to his systems it will allow him to monitor their comm traffic. He notifies the Lieutenant that he is monitoring their frequency and hands over a commlink to her as well.

  9. CC when you have a chance, could you give us a quick inventory of the # of bodies, # of living (1 + 2 on missile team?), and basic weapons and communications equipment that could be recovered from the enemy. Also even if the armor off the main guy is badly damaged N97 would likely take it to use as materials for creating better armor for his team.

  10. In the rain it is clear that neither the rebel team nor the missile team will be seeing each other for a while. So N97 does what he usually does; clean up.

After he and Private Oro do a two man sweep of the area to confirm the prisoners statements, the droid gathers the bodies and equipment at the shuttle. Cataloging their supplies he makes silent calculations on  how long there supplies would last. Seeing the ample rain and lush foliage he estimates there are likely game in the area in case their stay became an extended one.

He has had to do that that before, shelter in place. Instead of using game for meat, he would use it to boil down an organic oil that he used to keep his parts in order. It must have come as an odd surprise to those who found him in a weather proof shelter with a work bench, tools and containers all made from natural materials. His mechanic skills could be put to use nearly as well on natural materials.

Back in the present he completes his tasks and reports to the Lieutenant that the area is now secure, offering a list of current supplies and estimated travel time to the cave.

  11. N97 stands with his body immobile, only his head turns as he scans the local environment for further threats. When satisfied he proceeds to disarm [ooc: not physically, he wouldn't want to show up any nearby wookie's]  the fighters while Lt. Atala keeps them covered.

Once the area has been secured he comms the others. "Status: Shuttle combatants secure."

  12. After the demands of his are given, and only a partial response is returned, the Droid decides that staying in cover is not going to convince the remaining fighters to give up. So the Droid advances on the remaining troops, moving toward the back of the shuttle, staying as low as he can to avoid possible incoming fire. Rounding the back he presents his arm to the remaining troops, his Goo-gun arm.

In fully open position it looks like a wicked industrial tool, and the heat of the firing nozzle causes steam to rise as drops of rain touch it. He hopes that this will add conviction to follow the L.T. and Ensigns' commands.

[ooc: if it is medium then 2 maneuvers (will use 2 strain and fire on anyone who does not give up. Let me know and I will put in roll, just let me know the difficulty). N97 has his riot shield up so adds 2 defense and 2 deflection to attacks against him should they fire].

  13. The cold rain continues to come down on N97, plinking softly off of his metal body and run down the riot shield he uses as part of his armor. Of course it wasn't the temperature that gave him trouble, nor even the water, it was the havoc it played with his visual sensors.

In his 'mind', in the parlance of the organics, he has many ongoing goals and tasks he wants to accomplish. He has been around enough to know that the battle against the Empire is only temporary. And either he will survive it, or he will not. He has to act as if he will survive, as inaction is contrary to his core programming, and would also have a high chance of leading to his own demise. So he adds an optical upgrade to his list of tasks to do when he gets the resources and time. For now, don't get destroyed; help the rebellion.

  14. I think taking down the main leader is our main goal, or at least crippling him so we can 'discuss' the situation with him. If he is still up adding setback to him or giving boost would likely be best as a single crit doesn't typically change the battle much (unless we get a lucky high roll). Just my vote. N97 will either attack (if he gets a clear enough shot, ie if there are not to many environmental setbacks) or look to set him up for someone else. He has a gun that will ensnare, but is short range.
